How Much Money Do The Ravens Actually Have?

Of course he does. Just like he expects more from his OC who leaves him out to dry. If people are going to blame him, blame the missed drops by WR's. Blame the costly fumbles, or the offensive line failing to block which gets Flacco sacked. It can't just fall on one person. It's not fair for him to always be the scapegoat.

Really? 2000 posts and you haven't seen anyone here dissecting the rest of the offense?

Then why is the blame all on Flacco? Don't contradict yourself

I think Flacco will be a great QB, he just REALLLY GRINDED MY GEARS (to put it lightly) when he threw that TERRIBLE pass to Todd Heap that got pic'd, and then the dropped snap on the next drive......pathetic. I do however, think he will be a great QB. My predictions will either be confirmed or dismissed based on whether or not Flacco can put the team on his back in the 4th quarter a couple times next season.

Not only shouldn't the ball have been snapped, it didn't appear to even hit Joe in the hands.

He did that this past season.

but he also let us down, for example getting 3 and outed so many times vs the texans, forcing the D to play 75+ snaps that game. HOWEVER that is not 100% joe's fault as I do recall that cam's play calling was particularly atrocious that game. It's a team game, so no one person can be blamed. Jpe, Cam, the O line, the Rb's and the WR's really need to step up, no one was perfect...how do we know this? because Green Bay is wearing the rings and were not.

So we're arguing over whose fault it was when team execution went to hades?.. Its not all one persons fault. Sure sometimes it was flacco's but all in all he was not the thing holding us back

I'm not denying saying he didn't have a good number of down moments. I was simply bringing up that he came through this season, after you said you'd like to see him do it next season.

But no doubt, everyone on offense has to improve next season.

Not sure...it's just very frustrating when you lose to the steelers in the playoffs for what seems like the past 20 season...I'm tired of seeing Heinz smiling at the end of all our games, especially since typically the defence does their job, and holds them to less than 20 points.

as always you are most certainly the voice of reason, I just get flustered thinking of the offence sometimes as I can't see how we couldn't have put up at least 20-30 points/game consistently. But not jumping off the band wagon anytime soon, gotta muscle through the lows so you can appreciate the highs.

I never said the "blame is all on Flacco" or anything like that. Don't make half assed assumptions.

First Browns game, first Steelers game, Bills game, and the Falcons game come to mind

Then there's no reason you should doubt him or be on the list

I have serious concerns about Flacco ceiling and wether he can truly be a clutch Superbowl winning QB and I'm not the only one, so make a list, take a photo, just don't sit there talking like you're a bigger fan than the people who have rocked the purple jersey since Flacco was in little guido elementary.

I'm not going to mess up grape drank's thread and keep going back and forth with you until it's locked up. You obviously can't have a discussion without becoming defensive or taking cheap shots, so this conversation is over, especially since it's over the Internet

Someone once said, " throwing money at a problem doesn't fix it, it just makes it disappear for
awhile".
Paying for a WR just means you get a WR that thinks he's good, that he should always touch the
ball.
I love all the "we play the Vets too much"; do you really think Peyton loved "developing all those
young receivers" this season?! Believe me, he'd have loved to have his vets to throw to!!
Yeah the younger WR and TE need playing time, but do you really want the Ravens to take Heap, Mase
or Boldin out so they can get game time? Dickson and Pitta got some playing tme when Heap was hurt;
Reed got some playing time. It's probable they'll get more this season; but the only way they will
get huge playing time is if someone gets hurt and personally I'd rather not see a vet go down!
Should you draft youth, yes but should they play immediately? If they are the fix to the hole they
have to, but it's a hell of a way to say Hi to the NFL. We lucked out w/ Flacco, Oher, Gaither and
a few others over the years, but it ain't the norm or the expected.

Yes, I would. Maybe not so much Boldin but Mason's snaps have to decrease next season.

Reed got next to no playing time on offense. He ran one end-around all season and I only remember him lining up at WR one other time.

The team didn't get lucky with those players. Their talent was why the Ravens drafted them and they showed it on the field. And the team needs more of that from next year's draft.

It's about the offense as a group. Trying to beat the ravens offense is easy on obvious passing scenarios becasue you never have to line a safety up deep. The safeties can just squat near the first down marker and pick up any of our receivers that come free. Even though a lot of people give clayton flack, he did a better job of stretching the defense than did Housh/Mason/Boldin. Those guys can run routes and work in space after the catch but it's not going to happen with our offense.

Yeah, Boldin was open at times. But for the most part he was getting mugged. He has a great catch radius, and I don't think he's lost a step, maybe a quarter step but he still looks like a stud.

Wide receivers work as a group, it's not the sum of the individual parts but the synergy as a whole.

We need variety at wide receiver not talent.

We also need the O line to play better. People want draft picks... we draft picks, guys who should be better but aren't.

We've drafted into the o line, Oher and grubbs 1st round, chester 2nd, cousins and yanda 3rd. They need to play like their billing. we also need receivers to get open because our o line is getting mauled.

Cap accounting is probably the most complicated thing out there.

The Ravens spend near the cap each year and the team is doing fairly well. That's all I can tell ya.
