Wanted to share this with anyone who has yet to see it for themselves:

I'm still a little skeptical, because it's been in production since 2007. But if this terrific trailer is any indication of what to expect, I'll be adding another title to my collection whenever it hits the shelves. Thoughts?

My dad actually thinks I'm pretty weird because I always tell him how interesting it would be if zombies started to become reality and took over the world.

Honestly, imagine you, your friends, family and your dog, with nothing but all kinds of weapons, constantly on the run, shooting heads off and trying to survive.. Am I the only one that would find that fun?

I always thought of that as fun. Something like an end of the world scenario happened and only you and some friends were together. I like adventures like that.

Dude, yes, thank you! Just totally zone out on all of your troubles, work, school etc. Try to survive and start over, be a part of history. I just think that it sounds pretty fun, doubt it will ever happen though. But weren't Nazi's working on something weird like this?

It would only be cool if you had hot girls like Emma Stone (like Zombieland) and others surviving. A post-apocalyptic sausage fest would just be awful.

It looks like they spent atleast a year just putting together that ad for it. It may be incredibly violent, but that's one of the best adverts I've seen in a loooooong time.

What? Your crazy. It probably wouldn't have an happy ending like you think. Things wouldn't work perfectly like it does in movies. Lack of food would end up starving you over time. Depletion of ammo. Watching love ones die. It would be very surreal and unfun.

Haha. I forgot this is about Dead Island. My zombie/Apocalypse plan has always been to find an Island. Ofcourse I'll have to make sure the island isn't infested.

Even if you survive, I don't think there will ever be a happy ending in that kind of situation. Not that I have a plan, but there would be a way to obtain food. Death is everywhere in that sort of setting, so everyone would have to cope with it. I wouldn't look for an island, I'd keep driving until I couldn't anymore. Live in the day, hide in the night

Well looks like we'd have to split up if we ran into each other. Best of luck on your adventure. I'm going to swing by a sporting goods place pick up tons of fishing gear and ammo then head off to some docks to find me a boat.

Live out my time fishing and not having to fend for my life by running and shooting off heads. Gotta bring a lady friend (okay I guess my wife can come) along as well.

hahahaha exactly. i don't know how people would think its "fun". you'd be fighting to survive. have ONE life, its not like a video game or something when you can respawn lol. You'd have to constantly stay watch on yourself/friends/family etc. when you have to sleep so you all don't die.


and besides the only zombie movie i've ever saw with a happy ending is zombieland. night of the living dead i guess you could call a happy ending, even thought the girl is the only survivor from the house lol.

and the second part of your post, could be a problem too. idk who has ever read it but the zombie book "dead sea" is really good. theres zombie fish and stuff.

Of course you can look at all the negatives. That's easy. I guess the only ones who would find it interesting are the ones who are strong enough to survive

ohhhhh ok lol gotcha.


and idk. because in some zombie movies theres zombies animals and that sort of thing. and in others, the human zombies can even go through the water, so who knows what real life would be like.


i was thinking maybe we could get buckets somehow and lay them all along the island for when it rains? i know they did that in dawn of the dead. well they laid buckets on the building of the mall anyway lol

Man if there are zombie animals and if human zombies can swim in water that'd be pretty crazy. I thought running zombies would be hard enough to deal with it.

What if it only pours like once a month? That's why I don't think the whole island thing would be appropriate. I'd rather steal the items I need and drive around until I find some sort of place guarded by the military or something similar to 28 Weeks Later.

yeah that would be crazy, thats why i would hope there wouldnt be any running zombies. some books/movies etc dont have running zombies while others do.

that'd be another problem. idk if when stuff starts to get really bad if the military would get crazy too. i know i keep quoting movies and stuff, but in books i've read the military just wants to protect themselves when stuff starts to get worse.

and yeah idk what we would do if it doesn't rain. eventually food, water, resources would run out. you would have to constantly be on the run to find more of what you need.


Books you should pick up if your really into a zombies series or just reading good books:
The Rising, City of the Dead, and Dead Sea all by Brian Keene. amazing books. i've read them all at least 2 or 3 times lol

Well thats why you have a boat (preferably one you can row and has an engine). If things get really bad like lack of fish or fresh water. You can travel to the mainland during the day. Stock up on supplies and go back to the island. Sort of like the movie 'The Island.'

And if your just looking to stay on an island forever you can hit up a large fresh water lake. I use to go to Lake Lanier in Georgia when I was a kid. Big lake, plenty of small islands on it.
