Just read this really encouraging article by Aaron Wilson on Foxworth and how his recovery is going.

I still believe CB isn't a major need if Wilson is re-signed but that's another issue.

Wilson, Foxworth, Carr and Webb. I would agree that CB isn't a first 2 round priority at all. Glad Foxy is 100%, Terp Tandem* gonna keep it locked down Next season!

Foxworth with Webb, Carr and Wilson will be a very sound secondary. I am concerned about Landry though... Fosworth ties the whole unit together with his smarts!

Yeah, last year I also had hope in Prince Miller and "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" reference was made....

Retrospectively, we were lucky that he suffered the injury early on, unlike Webb and Washington, who suffered their injuries late in the '09 season. This means he can get equal training to everyone else this summer.

(I would have said full participation in training camp and OTAs, but that's not exactly a guarantee right now)

We'll see if Carr and Wilson give the Ravens a slight home team discount to stay. If both are looking for above nickel CB money, it would be tough keep both. Cary Williams could be in the mix and Webby will be better next year so with D Fox, they're solid. Robbed on that punt return he was, absolutely robbed.

You're absolutely right, Richie. He was robbed on that PR. I'm excited. I really dont think there will be a strike next season, but I'm still saying my prayers. With Foxworth coming back and we retain Wilson, Carr and Webb, we'll be set. I've seen some concerns about Landry, but I think he's a great player. I don't blame him for that touchdown by the FB in Atlanta. The guy was a freight train and one of the linebackers blew coverage. And I'm also impressed by Foxworth. You can tell he takes the CBA talks seriously. He has great work ethic.

To be honest, Im a little scared if Foxworth comes back into our CB roster. He has been dissapointing the day he came into our secondary roster. We need to find someone to solidify our 28th ranked pass defense.

Yea, another OLB or DE. Foxworth is a good DB.

From Week 6 on in '09, Foxworth played consistently good football in my opinion.

In terms of yards per game, the Ravens were 21st against the pass last year.

A lot more goes into a good pass D ranking than a good secondary. The LBs were poor in coverage for the most part all season and the pass rush was mostly non-existent when Suggs couldn't beat his man.

Once Foxworth was got comfortable with the system around mid season in 09 he was great, one of if not the only bright spot in the secondary at that point with Reed and Fabian going down. Fox Carr Wilson Webb and Williams are a very solid and deep group at CB, Reed, resign Zibikowski and Nakamura and add young depth to SS i will fee like our secondary is the deepest part of the defense.

I think Wilson would like to play for the Ravens for long time. Nothing better than playing for your hometown. We might have some discount from him: crossed fingers.

I totally agree with Wilson, Foxworth, Webb, and Carr are a very solid secondary group. We need a good rush passer playing opposite to Suggs, then we are good to go for our defense.

Wilson really stepped up his game and earned a lot of respect this year when he took over the #1 CB spot (i.e. that pivitol INT against HOU). I forsee Foxworth and Wilson enhancing the pass rush: With D.Fox and Wilson covering their assignments, the opposing QB is going to stay in the pocket longer, hold the ball longer, which ultimately allows for our front 7 to put sufficient pressure on.

Agreed. Definately sign Wilson, a second year working together in the system will be a huge plus. Our focus should be a good pass rusher.

Holy crap, once Foxy returns, if/when Kindle returns and if we bring back Carr and Wilson we are going to have a very deep and solid defense.

I'm sure the $15 million he took from us for 2 mediocre years also "feels great" . Don't get me wrong, I think foxworth is a solid player once he is warmed up and learns a system...but what we paid him was a little steep for a #2 caliber CB.

It was a shallow free agent class on corners that year and we needed to bring in somebody. We had to overpay a bit since there were other teams trying to get him too.
