Black Ops: Zombie Strategies

So i just got done another good night of zombies, this time on ascension. Made it to round 28 with a upgraded ray gun and RPK. So i decided to get on here and ask around, whats the best strategies on certain maps? I know in ascension me and my friends go to the top of the building you spawn in and chill there for a few rounds. What's everyone else do?

Whats your favorite zombie map? Mine is probably the old map from world at war, Der Riese. Also what do you think is the best upgraded gun? So far, i havent really upgraded that many guns, but the good 'ole Ray Gun upgraded usually does the trick lol.
