Let's hope for a BoSox win tonight, and then hopefully we can steal 2 out of 3 in New York.

Wieters, one of my favorite Orioles, is now 0-11 his last 3+ games... maybe that "bust" label wasn't premature after all? I sure hope he gets hot, and soon, because he looks absolutely lost up there.
I think it's still early to label him a bust. He hasn't lived up to the ridiculously lofty expectations as a hitter put on him before he was called up but his work behind the plate has been repeatedly praised.

I'd love to see him heat up too but with what he's doing as a game-caller and where he is in the lineup, I think the team can afford to have him not produce right now.

We'll need him to produce against the Yanks though... that lineup is fierce.

Agreed. Hopefully, the pitchers don't get knocked around too much.

Tillman worries me... hopefully arrieta can bounce back.

Anyword on how Matusz is doing?
He still can't throw at all... he'll be out for a little while yet. I'm going to guess end of April or early May.

The late "rally" was good but the batters being unable to come up with timely hits early in the game hurt. A few players need to get hot simultaneously.

Tillman's clearly not the answer... we need another veteran starter or it's going to be another long season.

He's still just 23 though. I was listening to the radio and a host suggested the team allow him to work through his struggles. All pitchers have great games but didn't Tillman throw a no-hitter at Triple A last season and have another one in his first start this season? The guy's got more talent than a Bergesen or a Jason Berken. I'd give him more opportunities.

Still, like you said, another veteran starter is needed.

Well, he had no hits through 6 innings and had 100+ pitches due to a lack of control and inability to put guys away, but I see your point and agree that he should be given a chance to work through this.

Really, Gregg, really?? Posada of all players? Come on!!!!!! Koji should have been in there, Gregg has been absolutely terrible; I don't trust him at all. Another bad relief pitcher signing by Andy Mac.

Dear Mike Gonzalez,

Please retire, effective immediately.

This guy is even worse than Gregg!! Another blown lead to the Yankees in New York... I guess we're still the same old Orioles. *smh*

I think it's safe to say that...

Yankees:Orioles as the Steelers:Ravens

The O's just can't close out New York when it matters at the end of the game. Such a shame.

I'm a little disappointed in our fielding last night, too. It seemed like they were constantly in the wrong place to make a play.

I didn't see it, but I heard Luke Scott was dreadful on a couple of key plays... plays Pie would most certainly have made.

Golden Boy should have gunned down Tex and home. Horrible throw and a botched catch in the outfield....

Jake pitched a nice game for the most part. KG and MG can kiss my butt!

Jake has pitched well in his games against new York... so that's a great thing. It's a shame that our bullpen usually costs us the game.

That's 5 in a row, folks. Has Buck's magic worn off? Seems that way... at least the Yankees lost too.

Hope seems to be fading fast. Even for me. I was really into it for the first 3 series', but now I can't bring myself away from hockey to watch their games.

The pitching struggles don't surprise me but the bats still being cold collectively is starting to get annoying. Even with the hole in the line-up at the 9th spot, the timely hits from guys with track records haven't been there.

Hopefully, the team can win this series because the homes-stand starting next week will be tough with the Twins, Yankess and Red Sox coming to town.

Gonzalez REALLY needs to be released or put on the DL... he's hurting this team more than helping at this rate. He's absolutely terrible.

You know what's worse than Gonzalez? The ridiculous contract we gave him.
