Wonder what this means as far as Le'Ron.

to me this means one of two things

1. Willis wont be restructuring his contract and will be traded/released, and McClain/Rice will be our 1-2 combo.

2. McClain wants to much money and wont be re-signed.

I wouldn't read too much into this. We signed McKie when Le'Ron was banged up and NEVER even activated him. I was never too impressed with McKie in Chicago but he is as solid of an option there is I guess.
Would have rather seen us pick up Mike Karney, that dude is pretty beastly as your simple lead block and pass blocking FB.

if Willis isn't on the roster (which i hope he is), but if not i would like to see McClain at tailback behind McKie like in 2008 with Lorenzo. McClain is a natural Running back at FB i was always worried with him running the ball this year cause he was the only FB we had and he tends to banged up every now and then. Rice making the shifty cuts and outside runs and catch and McClain pounding it would bring us a missing physical run element for sure.

totally agree.. if McClain and Willis both are back next year, McKie won't be.

Leron is a far better FB. His personality and emotion though, is a little out there.
