Rams To Release Fb Mike Karney

Josh Mcdaniels plans on using a more spread offense with Bradford so they released Karney. You guys think he may be a good pick up?

I've never paid attention to Karney, truthfully. What's he like run blocking? With all of Steven Jackson's success, I'd imagine he'd at least be decent. The only way I could see us entertaining the thought, is if McClain did walk, and the Ravens decided to not try to pick up a rookie with a late, late round pick or as an UDFA.

I'm more interested seeing how this spread offense is going to really work in St. Louis. Bradford's great, but they're lacking at both receivers and tight end. I just pray that the NFL doesn't follow suit with the NCAA and have the majority of the teams running a spread offense.

Uh...right now we can't sign FAs from other teams......can only re-sign our own. Kinda a moot question, for now.

Good old McDaniels. Screw the FB! Karney ain't half bad, can block and even rush if asked to. But I would prefer to look in another direction.

Got his feet tangled up there. Not much of a fail considering he rarely even gets targeted.

He's a pretty good run blocker .. would be good if ravens loose mcclain

He looks like a good boxer though. Maybe him and Zibby could match up for a few bouts.

He was one of the better run blockers in the league from what I remember, been to a couple pro bowls.

The only think I remember about Karney is this awesome 2 TD game he had back with the Saints a few years back. Boy was straight out playing with fire. So much energy.

If McClain doesn't re-sign, Karney would be a great pick up.
