It's probably a promotion for a charity, business etc affiliated with Boldin and/or the Ravens. I doubt any team news would be broken on Boldin's twitter feed.

Maybe he was just talking about Matt Birk coming back?

It probably won't be. That's why he said exciting news "later today" rather than just spilling his guts right then.

Seeing as how he routinely posts charity promotions I don't think that's it. Probably a contract (as we've suggested) that is for the most part complete but needs finalization before it's real news. If it were any other kind of news we wouldn't be waiting so long.

A contract? Why would Boldin have any inside info on that, either. He got his deal, last year. He shares Rosenhaus with Gaither, McClain, and Stallworth but all of those players, too, have twitter accounts. Why wouldn't they post something similar?

I don't know, it really doesn't matter. Put me down for him opening a restaurant or something.

Yep he posted it "9 minutes ago"(somehow it still says that) so I'm guessing since it seems Twitter Froze, he probably tweeted the news already but for some reason it still shows that the excitement tweet is his last one.

I just don't see why a charity event would require its own hype since he posts that stuff all the time. If it WAS a charity event though, we would probably have by now turned that into the biggest letdown by a charity ever.

For the record, Boldin rarely (if ever) uses his Twitter account himself; his PR team uses it to promote his events and will often tweet on his behalf. This also holds true for Ray Lewis and his official Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Therefore, I'd take any "big" news on his account with a grain of salt. If it were a big announcement on a player's Twitter feed who actively tweets on a personal level, then I'd be more excited. This is nothing.
