Clashes Early On..defining A Team.

4 posts in this topic

When Training Camp Rolls fires up next week, The Classic Battle of Offense vs. Defense, wont be the only Battle to be won out there on the field. When the Offensive Mind of Cam Cameron clashes against the Defensive Mind of Rex Ryan, the end result is the ultimate chess match and guessing game at whos doing what and when, at what time. In the Franchise's previous years and past, The Defense has remained one of the Top defense's in the league, meanwhile the Team's offense has struggled, often lacking the complexity that was/is needed to become one of the NFL's most prolific Units in the League today. An Offensive Image that has been tarnished by years and years of Inconsistant quarterback Play and basically, a Offensive Unit that surely had the Potential to become an elite force, but never really reached expectations and they never really found their niche to get into the Offensive Thrill Ride of Passion and Excitement that really really drives any and all of us in Baltimore.

So starting next week, Fans will get the chance to witness brillance at its finest when Cameron's Offense, matches up against Ryan's Defense, a classic battle of wills in which, at the end of the day....will surely mark the end of the Old Raven Ways of playing, and will mark a new day and Age of Raven Football. One to which any and all Opponents from here on out, will have to respect not only the defense but Now the Offense as well. A New Day and Age, Marks the Dawn of New Generation of Raven Football and Football way of life.

Good article, I read it today at work.

Not to rain on anyones parade, though, but I think the Offense may be only average this year. If you look at Cameron's career, it took him 2 full seasons to pull the Chargers' Offense out of mediocrity and into a top 10 attack. Maybe he's refined his craft enough so that it works efficiently his first year, but we don't know. Until the season begins, I have my doubts.

on paper it does read that the O is more likely to endure a roller-coaster ride than an ascension to the league's elite.

but we, and every single one of the players vying for a spot on the roster must remember is.....this is a TEAM game, and there are a lot of minor things that must be realized to go right. talent alone doesn't win championships anyway. (look at the deadskins a few years back) everyone one must adhere to their strengths and weaknesses. make the weaknesses stronger while at the same time feeding off each others strengths. everyone has a role to play and must truly understand that with unselfish, sacrificial play. DON'T be a distraction! i have complete faith that Coach Harbaugh would recognize this happening and defuse the problem immediately!

all i'm trying to say is.. if there's any group of fans that should know you can win a championship without a dynamic offense- it's ravens fans. you don't have to look too far in the past to see that!
