Well, Clay proved that he was more deserving in the Super Bowl.

The entirety of the postseason, too. Even Steeler fans would admit that.

I know DPOY and MVP, etc. are decided for the regular season only...

but who had the bigger game in the SB?

And others have already said similar.

Polamalu's most memorable play involved giving up a touchdown - not to mention his numerous missed tackles. Harrison made more news spouting off at the mouth during the week, rather than making plays. Clay Matthews forced a pivotal fourth quarter turnover that led to the Packers scoring their winning points.

One of them deserved it over the other two...

You're talking about one performance and I didn't see Troy miss ANY tackles last night. LET IT GO!

Maybe not, but he gave up 2 TDs and allowed Jennings to run free on 3rd and long for a huge 3rd down conversion late in the game.

"He allowed???" You know how many times I watched Ed Reed chasing the play? Yet, I was smart enough to know when it was and was not his responsibility. Troy guessed wrong on the second TD, but the first one was not on him. Aside from that, if William Gay isn't so terrible we're not in such bad shape. 21 points off three turnovers and we lost by 6 points. It was a good game, Packer won and Troy is this years DPOY. These are facts and they are indisputable my friend.

If Charles Woodson wasn't out, I don't think the score was that closed. Their best secondary defense player was down and they still held Big Ben down for the last drive.

He took some bad angles in pursuit and, in one very visible and important instance, fell down instead of pass-rushing. He may be hampered by his Achilles tendon, but that's hardly an excuse - his backup could misjudge routes and let the Packers catch the ball over him, too, after all.

OMG! :34853_doh: HE SLIPPED!!!

Berad, I'm sorry but I'm beginning to question whether or not you actually know what you are looking at when you watch a FB game.

You're right, ED REED should have been both the offensive AND defensive POY as well as SB MVP whether he was there or not. The man is a God and any comparison to him is blasphemy.

/rant.

I won't give "if" to an insignificant player on the team. If the Steelers say Troy is their best SS in the business, then the Packers would say Woodson is also their best cornerback in the business. So your saying is your defense will be ok if Troy was taken out of the game?

I didn't say that. But "IF" we don't turn it over 3x we win the game. Packers drove down the field on their own twice for 10 points.

Our defensive numbers speak for themselves and we were ranked higher than GB in most of the categories throughout the season. William Gay was our biggest liability on defense, not Troy. Troy is still one of the best overall players in the game.

Gay is about as bad as it gets. I found myself laughing numerous times at how inept he is.
