Get the kid a helmet, harness and babysitter. Don't let him go out in public without them.
LOL

Don't know about the harness, I'm sure they'll issue him a helmet once he's cleared to play and I have no doubt that they'll have Ray riding his backside.

Trust me, you'll need the leash and harness in case he drinks too much and gets out of control.

I won't argue with that. In fact, while Cody does have size, from what I've seen, he isn't big (lol) on technique.

Although, Redding did seem to come up with crucial plays at crucial moments late this season, just not in the pass rushing department.

I'm just hoping a line like that (not that we'd EVER have it since I don't see us switching to 4-3) would free up other rushers besides Suggs, which I believe it could do very well.

But none of those guys on the Dline command a double team when pass rushing, especially against quality lineman.

Haven't the Ravens learned a lesson with McAllister? If you haven't read the book "Next Man Up" you should. It is a great read, with a lot of interesting insight into the behind the scenes story of the Ravens and some of the players on the team, including the disruption and concerns involving Chris.
I for one have little tolerance for the abuse of alcohol, having divorced an alcoholic who later passed away. Harming yourself is one thing. Innocent people being harmed or killed because of driving drunk is another. I had reservations about Stallworth, but he seems to be truly repentant and reformed, with no other incidences since. He seems to be a man who is using his second chance wisely.

Is there a reason why you quoted me?

Because I was agreeing with you but expanding on it.

He probably doesn't know how much he can help the team draft wise if he is cleared to play before draft day.

I'm kinda iffy with Stallworth, but this is his second chance and he seems to be doing good with it.
So some dope decides to jump in front of your car without obeying the law, looking both ways or using a crosswalk, and the driver is to take all the blame? The guy wanted to catch the bus and decided to put his life on the line for it, stallworth nor you could've done much about it. Stallworth was "intoxicated" but it was slightly from the alcohol he had the night before. He could've ran away, but he stopped, called the police and took full responsibility, helped the family, went to prison, and is still basically under house arrest for something that wasn't completely his fault and there are still people like you who mention him in the same breath as some of the real criminals in the nfl.

A co-worker of mine at a temp job said he went to Texas when Kindle crashed into that apartment building. I'm sorry, but I don't want this guy on our team. I'm kinda iffy with Stallworth, but this is his second chance and he seems to be doing good with it. Sergio had his second chance and after fracturing his skull he gets a DUI. My co-worker said everyone suspected he was drunk when he crashed through the building and others believe it was the reason he went down the stairs and fractured his skull. I don't like to be a broken record, but I hope Pagano runs a 4-3 and we get rid of Kindle and draft a sturdy DE.

The guy gets a strike for having a tragic accident and falling down the stairs?

He improved this season but still isn't a consistent pass rusher.

I didn't say he was, but I have seen him double teamed in pass rushing situations.

It's asking a hell of a lot to command a double team on a consistant basis. Not even Julius Peppers, Cameron Wake or James Harrison command double teams on a consistant basis.

Back on Kindle, there is no neurologist that would risk giving their approval for someone who suffered a severe head injury, to return to a game as violent as football IMO. Ultimately, I feel the final decision for him to return will be his, regardless of what the doctors are saying and it will then be up to the team if they want to take the risk.

Speaking from my own experience along the same lines, if I had his abilities and earning potential, there would be nothing or nobody that would keep me from playing. But that's just me.

Ok I guess I should have specified, Ngata doesn't get doubled teamed consistently and when he's left one on one with a quality G he doesn't always win in the pass rush.

I think that's the key thing. No one wants to be 'responsible' for any potential injury of any severity caused by his fall.

It depends how much he can show he's capable of though. If he shows less than 100% then I think we can expect the worst.

I hope he's not the Jay Williams of football. Jay Williams played for Duke in College and then went to the Bulls for I think a year or two(he may not have played at all) and then he wrecked on a motorcycle and it ended his career. Just sucks because I watched Kindle's highlights on YouTube and he looked great and thenhe takes a tumble down a flight of stairs and he's in an iffy situation. And his physique makes him look like he'd also be good in coverage as well.

That was something he was working on during mini-camps but he definitely has the athleticism to excel in that area.

Didn't the steelers have some like top ten DT one year who was supposed to change the game, but on the way to the coin toss he slipped and tore his ACL so badly that he could never play again? I feel like a similar injustice has been done to us.

They had a DT in the 80s who they took when Marino was still on the board. DT was actually a pretty good player in his own right but he broke his spine/severed his spinal cord and could never walk again after getting in a wreck where he was drinking and driving.

That the guy your talking about?
