Wasn't that 5 years ago?

Not happening.

Ravens were 12th in sacks during the season but 1st in the post season.

I would say could use some improvement there. Steelers had 48 to the Ravens 27. I would never have guessed these two teams to be separated by 21 in that category.

That said, you improve your team through the draft.

I say sign him. I would love to see AT come back and retire with the team who drafted him. He wouldnt start but he would be a good passing down guy. He has dropped off, but maybe a year of rest was just what he needed for his older bones.

I don't think Adalius has nearly as much athleticism as he did in '06. Also, that was an entirely different system. We've yet to see what Pagano will employ but it's inherently going to be different than Rex. Pagano wasn't even here when AD (I don't know why some people call him AT, he wasn't called that when he was here) was in his prime.

In short, I don't think Thomas is returning. His number of connections here has dwindled, along with his play.

Sorry, I think AD would be a low risk, solid reward player to come in. Plus I think it would just be an exciting move to have him back in Purple and Black.

LOL, it's not you I was referencing. You posted while I was typing. I just saw some comments in the blogs calling him "AT" :P

Remember the biggest difference between these two defenses has always been sacks and interceptions. I think in past decade the Steelers have more sacks and the Ravens have more interception. Steelers have always maintained a middle pass rush and two outside rushers year in and year out. I hope the Ravens figure it out.

That is why we drafted Kindle last year to improve this year's sack totals. Too bad it never came to light. But if we can get another pass rushing DE next year, and Kindle comes to play. Look out. That gap will close real quick, might even eclipse it.

I'd rather draft Justin Houston. Suggs desperately needs help on the other side so teams don't just focus on him as the primary rusher. That's why the Steelers are so dangerous with Harrison/Woodley coming off the edges.

Nothing he's done since '07 suggests he'd provide much "reward".

The defense needs impact youth, not a guy who turn 34, was out of the league in 2010 and left here on bad terms.

And top of that, they have players who can occasionally get pressure up the middle in Hood and Timmons.

I was just reading an article about how Adalius has lost much of his pass-rushing skill. So this move would make ZERO sense. He's done in Baltimore. Guys usually don't come back.

Its ok cause the Steelers secondary can barely catch a ball thrown off a QBs back foot that hit him in the numbers ;)

I really hope Kindle is back healthy. That would be a great bonus and adding a young talent to the defense. Suggs/Kindle/draft pick would really boost the front 7.

I have high hopes for Ellerbe. I like him the most out of McClain and Gooden. But it all depends on how Harbaugh feels about him.

Agreed Kindle. Ideally, I'd like to see multiple young talents added to all three units on the defense.

That's the key. I have a feeling McClain will be back but don't know about Ellerbe. I hope Gooden isn't re-signed.

I think the organization would admit the same thing if forced to. There are reasons Timmons was a first round pick and T-Good wasn't though.

Ellerbe and McClain have made lots of plays. I can maybe think of 2 plays Gooden has "made" since he started playing and one of them was when Arian Foster slipped on his own feet and Gooden touched him down and celebrated like he won the SB lol.

Didn't he pretty well burn his bridges when he left? I seem to remember him disrespecting his former team and teammates.
