I ended up getting stuck at the hospital so I just worked overnight and pulled a 28 hour shift. The mercedes wouldn't have gotten me home anyways, rwd + big v8 = stupid. Being im moving to chicago soon... might be time to invest in a 4wd vehicle!

Haha, indeed! Ill be there for 5 years or the duration of my surgical residency- I already started suv shopping, haha! People think MD winters are bad... Chicago is brutal. BUT... at least Chicago takes care of the snow whereas Baltimore has no idea of what to do during a snowstorm.

This is true... the snow plows seem to do more harm than good on the side streets, and especially my neighborhood.

One time I am glad to live in south-central Pennsylvania. We've been on the western edge of all the snowstorms so far this winter.

This last one gave us six and a half inches...the most we've had from one storm so far *crossing fingers and hoping it stays that way*

We haven't had a lot of snow so far, (knock on wood) in Baltimore City.
Not like last season, when we had like 3 blizzards in a row.
A lot of people like to say that means global warming doesn't exist, but actually global warming is a part of climate change, more extremes in cold and heat.
More blizzards, more tornadoes, etc.
Anyway, I live in a rich part of the city, and those with snow blowers really help.
If I could afford one I'd get one, those around here that have them like to show off and will do your sidewalk for fun, maybe to show off. That's not to say I don't go out and shovel, which is also fun, and adults way to play in the snow, since it creates a problem and a resolution not just a wasteful resource.
The storms depend on the jet stream, and so far it's been in Baltimores favor, we've been just north or just south of the big storms.
The last one we had, which was not much at all compared to last years storms, was a quick and very heavy wet snow that stuck instantly. That brings power outage issues, and is the main concern.
Otherwise, Baltimore City has been good so far (knock on wood)

Yea I find it funny. Its a common misconception. People see the blizzards last year and use it as proof global warming doesn't exist. But its exactly what you said. Golobal warming doesn't just mean the earth's climate is getting warmer. It means more weather extremes.
