What Did You Learn This Season?

48 posts in this topic

I've learned that my love for this team only grows stronger even with all the flaws and heartache from the bad losses. Bring on the draft and next season already! (and we better have a "next season" because I can't imagine not being able to watch Ravens games)

I learned that:

- Flacco is still well on his way to being 'elite'.

- Reed is the best safety in the league.

- Cam Cameron should have, and probably would had it not been for the point mentioned in the article, lost his job.

- Three man rush = Fail.

- We are the only team capable of beating us. Not once did we lose when we didn't throw the game away.

I've learned that PWNEDbyDEANO is absolutely 100% correct

I've learned that the offensive needs to stay on the field more.
I've learned that we need a new Offensive coordinator- one with some imagination.
I've learned that calling Rice up the middle the first and second downs and then Flacco getting sacked on third down is not a good game plan.
I've learned that this season came down to a few defining moments that had they gone the other way may have changed things but didn't
I've learned that great teams find a way to win and beat the teams that beat themselves

I learned that there is no such thing as karma.

They will get their`s, don`t worry.

Who knows they could all of a sudden go on a drought of sucking for 30 years again.

i learned that you can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you cant pick your friends nose... who knew?
[/quote]

But you can also pick your nose and wipe it on the back-up QB (because he doesn't really matter).

From watching big ben do what he does so well, win games, I have learned thatour coaching staff does not have trust in our offense to win games. This has caused the team to play not to lose instead of playing to win. I have also learned something that I already knew from watching big ben, that you have to throw the ball down field. I have also learn that as much as I hate to see the steelers win, whatever they are doing over there it is working and we need to get it together now!

I learned that the Ravens are almost there, but need some tweaking with the O line to get over the hump.

I learned that we can stay in the game and possibly win it until the last few minutes.

I learned that with the exception of the divisional round, any of our losses were by 5 points or less.

I learned that the playcalling needs to improve because we had way too many stalled drives this year.

I learned that Flacco could become a great quarterback, but he should be let off the leash the coaches keep him on.

I learned the new Ravens Fight Song (and made it into a ringtone)

I learned that Flacco is not Joe Cool, he was rattled in the 2nd. half of the Pitt. game,he will be a good quarterback, not a great one. Cam needs to go, his play calling sucks and to be fair to Flacco he was held back by Camron. Our secondary is weak at best, but we still have a very good defence.

1.) Black and Gold is my least favorite color combination

2.) Cam Cameron is, apparently, the most hated man in Baltimore

Why did this get three negatives? All of it is probably true

I didn't neg him but others probably did because they disagree.

I have my doubts about whether Joe will be great but I'm not as convinced Cam's play-calling "held him back" either. I wouldn't call how the secondary performed "weak at best" either, even with their lapses.

Although his hands were tied due to the offensive line being very bad at times this season, I still think Cam's play calling left a lot to be desired. And that's putting it mildly. The adjustments in the second half just weren't there at times.

They weren't. That's why, while I'm hopeful for changes in Cam's philosophy next season, I'm also hoping the personnel can make more plays in spite of him.

I agree it was pretty obvious the whole offense was rattled in the 2nd half. Not the biggest fan of Cam, although we dont have the WR personnel to make his system effective, I still don't think he even knew how to utilize Boldin as he should. I'd say our secondary is average at best.
