Man you know Troy didnt get a fair chance, he was going to be the starter for the Ravens at one point, you cant go off of the what he did in the 49ers games, you just cant, he was the 3rd string that didnt really get playing time. And in no way am i saying i want him to play for the Ravens now, that time is come and gone.

Like i said , its all about timing

Not doing it again, I'm just not.....

Oh well, he did nothing EVERY time he touched the field. Every time!! It was then proven again in San Fran....you cannot dismiss that. He is a backup and the draft dictated this from day one.

It's actually got nothing to do with timing. It's more about the pieces around a player and that player's specific skill level.
Exactly like i said, timing, Being at the right place at the right time. nuff said

It's not about timing at all. Unless Troy did some amazing things when he hit the field, the Ravens were never going to commit to him long-term.

Im not on the Troy Smith bandwagon, he was done and lost his chance after that illness, he was never the same. all well, thats like me saying they need to start Mark B., heck noooo.

But im giving Flacco til the end of next season for me to see if he is a keeper and franchise QB, im not sold on him yet. I dont know if its Cam not leting him audible or he is just too stupid to. We Dont know, but we will have a better idea at the end of next season, it would have been much clearer if Cam wasnt here, but hes not so now i have just deal with it.

The problem with Smith is that he was indeed the EXACT same after his illness....an average QB that will always be a backup. Nothing changed post illness. That makes no sense at all!

And lucky for us, your opinion on giving our multi record holder QB another year for you to give an opinion means squat! He IS our franchise QB.

I love when people get all bent out of shape when their opinion is not agreed with....and then retort with "its my opinion....blah blah". Its called debate or coversation. I think what you say is wrong. I provide facts to prove my opinion and then in typical fashion for the board, people get all fired up. :D

"He was never the same"? That implies he was good at one point in the NFL. He's never done anything in the league.

I really don't think we'd have a better idea if Cam was gone for reasons that have been stated many times. With the current CBA complications, a new OC would not help this team.

Number 1. Anytime Ravens get beat my the Steelers it sucks. If its in the playoffs makes me wanna stop watching football till next year cause it means the Steelers will probably win it all. Ravens had the team to do it this year but i know the front office will make the changes that needed to be made and the Ravens will be back next year with one thing on their mind beat and thats to beat the Steelers.

another steelers superbowl....just makes me want to cry, cuz every time the steelers get to the bowl, you know the Ravens were one inch away from being in the bowl, but some crazy sequence of events, or one stupid play decided the outcome, and thus far the ravens have been on the losing end 95% of the time. WWHAT MAKES THEM SO GOOD, THEIR O LINE IS TERRIBLE YET MENDENHALL BUSTS OFF LIKE 100 yards in one half, and BEN MAKES HUGE THROWS DOWN FIELD, WHY CAN'T WE DO THAT!

I hate the Steelers. Polamalu is okay, but Ed Reed is so much better. He led the NFL in interceptions after missing six games, yet he has never intercepted worthlessberger. Their o-line(like ours) sucks. It's getting to the point where I don't even want to go to the bowl. I just want to beat the Steelers both times in the regular season and I don't want them to go to the Super Bowl. They're a dirty team, their fans all have mullets and talk trash and their star on Defense can't even articulate a sentence. He should have never got that Defensive Player of the Year award. It should have gone to Reed who had way more points scored on Defense. And yet our coaches act like it's no big deal and accept it. My brother has the right idea being a Packers fan. At least they take chances down the field and beat their rival.

Actually Ed Reed has intercepted Roethlisberger once. It was in that 31-7 blowout win in Pittsburgh in 2006. I miss 2006 :(

Yeah, minus the very painful loss to the colts it was a good year.

A great year. That team was absolutely phenomenal. Arguably more talented than our Super Bowl team IMO. The 2000 team had IMO the best defense in NFL history however, the 2006 team had probably the best defense of the past decade and had a better offense than the 2000 team. McNair was so clutch for us that year until the playoff loss. RIP 9

I wouldn't go that far... Ben would have competed for, and probably won, the starting job the following Training Camp. We just accelerated the process :P
bill stopped running the ball at that point of his carrer. he was all about "tommy gun" and would spread it out with 3-4 wide!

big ben forced cowher to run it...
big ben could have been the next kordell/slash stewart if tommy ain't go down. Big ben would be a tight end. w/o big ben...cowher prolly doesn't win a superbowl...

Well i get sick of always laying it on the coaching. So i change my mind, lol. We have Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. THAT'S IT!! The rest of the Ravens players are all terrible, uncoachable, couldn't beat a pop warner team. We have the worst players in the league and the best coaches. We should bring Matsko back, i was wrong about him. It was the players all along. There now.

Thanks to preppy the coach we are now the Eagles of the AFC. John learned well from ole Tastykake. Always a bridesmaid never a bride. Glad we got that 1 Lombardi.

I didn't know Reed intercepted him. I read in an article he didn't. It was probably written by Yahoo! Sports if anyone. All I can do is pray the Packers win the Super Bowl. I think they will. They have an awesome D(more talented than the Steelers' D) and Aaron Rodgers goes deep and does it well. And I don't know if it was this post or another when someone mentioned why Mendenfail doesn't run well against Ray and our D. The reason is, a year or two ago, Ray Lewis broke his shoulder on a run and Mendenfail had to leave the game. There's a video of it on Youtube where some guy's laughing in the background. It's almost as priceless as Bart Scott's hit on Big Jen when he was a Raven. Regret leaving us much Scott?

Edit: By the way, I haven't slept much at all because of this loss

we move on cause "should be" and "are" playing in the AFC Championship game are two different things!

Pardon me but the "more talent" part ... based on what? Stats? Have any? Ben is as equally adept at throwing the deep ball as he has proven many many times. Dislike is clouding your vision.
