As it's been said, it was just kind of 'deja vu' really.

As I watched the game and Rice fumbled & the Steelers scored -- I told my oldest son (and those sitting around us); "Watch and see, they're going to let the Steelers back into this ballgame," and they did.

As for my losses; I hate losing, period. I know every team can't be perfect but when you look at our game-stats -- we could've been 16-0 this year w/ a bye-week and home-field advantage throughout. It just sucks...

Off the top of your head a worst defeat than a seven point lost in the playoffs where you led 21-7 at halftime then blew the whole lead in one quarter......Wow enlighten me.
That wasn't what you said initially. The Ravens have been outcoached and outplayed in numerous games before. If we're talking about magnitude of the moment, the loss last Saturday is one of the top 5 worst but we've seen games before where coaching and the play on the field was much worse than it was against the Steelers.

2006 was the most dissapointing season:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/rav/2006.htm

i thought we destroyed the steel city. i was in south carolina at the time and saw the last 8games because the steelers got kicked off the CBS national games. I thought we reclaimed the throne...and we were destined to beat the colts. we were def favorites in the media and as a team. Rolle and Mccalister at corner were amazing!!!

but the most dissapointing game was against the steelers cuz we could have crushed their minds with a win....the win would have did wonders for us especially if it was double digits. I could not see the steelers as an organization recovering from us beating them down this year.

#1. While the loss was expected, this loss hurt the worst of all. We are not going to get more talented next year.
The Ravens are not a tough Football team anymore. Preppy the coach took care of that.

Sitting here pondering this question as if this loss actually rated. But then I bring myself to this one over riding realization. The first half sucked for Pittsburgh, the second half sucked for us. Pissburgh won ugly and had we won it would have been just as ugly. For what ever reason we were not meant to win this game and I will not include such an atrocious loss in my categories of worst anything. I do not blame cameron, Flacco, Rice or anyone else! It was an ugly game all the way around one that no one should be proud to have won or lost!

2005-- 'Malice in his heart' has turned into a joke for me. I just shake my head and use that when people get on me for saying the refs SUCK.
2007-- Pats that more annoyed me then anything else
2007 -- Loss to the Browns was unreal, only in Baltimore can that happen
Santonio Holmes TD game just pisses me off.

After reading this list I am beginning to question why I like football lol

Now from the standpoint of the cold weather wuss that I am and our fate was decided a week ago-- I am sure glad someone else is freezing their asses off tomorrow. That outside Superbowl in the Meadowlands is looking like a really stupid decision in 2014.
Did you see what happened to the Tennessee Vols this year?

Oh yeah, guess who happens to be a fan of that team, too?

This sucks.

The loss to the Colts at home was the worst for me. Thought for sure we would show the colts where to stick it.

The meltdown against the Pats #2. The playing got ugly but I was never more angry at refs then that game.

This one hurts, I thought we were going to win, but because of the past few years I've been hardened. I can't believe almost every night, though, I have had dreams/nightmares about this last game.

Not as bad as 2008, since our epic collapse this year didn't send them to the Super Bowl directly, but we did propel them there.

I have just become a Green Bay Packers fan for about 2 weeks,

GO PACKERS!!!!!!!! if anyone is going to beat them it will be them, Jetts had a chance but lets be real , we knew they werent going to pull it off, close though, close. The Stealers Almost pulled a RAVENS but worse and then it would have been called a Stealers. (referring to how we just gave them the game, it would have felt soooo good if the Jetts pulled it off, it would have made our collapse not look as bad, with them having a 21 point lead at the half.)

but without a doubt our worse WIN is when we knocked out tommy maddox and started this big ben snowball....ugh. tommy maddox was a little above average so big ben may not have seen the light of day in a steelers jersey and would have been traded or something.

I wouldn't go that far... Ben would have competed for, and probably won, the starting job the following Training Camp. We just accelerated the process :P

everytime you lose a playoff or regular season game in that type of fashion, it will hurt a lot, and take a lot of time to heal.

Our ravens dont just lose or get eliminated, they have that trademark writing behind them: WE'RE JUST BEATING OURSELF UP YEAR AFTER YEAR.

this year steeler game, 06 colts game are just example on who the baltimore ravens is the best team at what they can do. Give the win to the other club, the steeler didnt earn a thing in last week win, it was served by the ravens in all kind of twisting angles.

Until ONE team beat us STRAIGHT UP during the playoff, i will change my view of this organization.

ps: last year elimination against colts was all about refs pass interference bad calls. Straight up mean losing without giving ourselves up, or ref bad calls

dont get me wrong, im a raven since 1999, and proud of this team way of thinking, but im starting to realize that this team is messing up on a great generation of defensive players. Our "successful seasons" will take a back seat in the next few years.

I gotta disagree, its about being in the right place at the right time, think about it, Maddox could have played another 2 yrs and Ben prob. would have never played a snap in the NFL, or he would have played but not as a Stealer and end up playing for a crappy team and not look as good as he did , then he would have been swept under the carpet like soooo many other Back up QB that leave the league because there is no place for them because of the draft every year. There are probably 3 or 4 other Big Bens around the league that dont ever get a chance.

Like i said before its about timing, luck and being at the right place at the right time.

Example - just look at Kurt Warner everyone thought he was done and only good enough to be a Back UP. Oh yea and look what game he got a chance to get his comeback against- The RAVENS. The Ravens make really good QBs for other teams if you think about it.

He would've gotten snaps. Probably the next year like FF said. A guy doesn't get drafted 11th overall and never plays a snap in the NFL.

Yeah im not saying he wouldnt but he probably wouldnt have clicked like he did, Look at all the other QB that are drafted high and just dont click or are just off a bit, Example - QUINN,T.smith,Matt Leinart etc.

I mentioned Troy Smith because for some reason i think he would be starting still for the Ravens if he didnt have that weird fluck virus, he was next inline. I do believe he would have been on fire.

To me its all about Timing, I feel that if Flacco didnt get thrown into the Lion Den he wouldnt be the QB he is today, i really do believe that.

So let me get this straight?

1) Ben wouldn't have gotten snaps in the NFL

2) Troy got a fluck virus. Is this related to the bird flu?

3) Troy would've been on fire?

This all sounds in contrast to popular opinion.

Man you know Troy didnt get a fair chance, he was going to be the starter for the Ravens at one point, you cant go off of the what he did in the 49ers games, you just cant, he was the 3rd string that didnt really get playing time. And in no way am i saying i want him to play for the Ravens now, that time is come and gone.

Like i said , its all about timing

It's actually got nothing to do with timing. It's more about the pieces around a player and that player's specific skill level.
