Maybe its because I'm not a Pats hater. I really wanted to see a team go 19-0 and win the SB, and I would have no problem if that turned out to be the Pats of 07.

I'm not a Pats hater either. But something about that team going 19-0 pissed me off. Maybe its because of the way the media was painting the picture.

I guess I had a totally different mind set. I was sad to see the Ravens lose after such a hard fought battle, but at the end I was just proud that we might have been the closest team to beat NE that year. (until that point at least)

Im with you to an extent. The loss to NE meant nothing, in regards to championships.

2006 was a lost ring due to the lackluster O
2010 was a lost ring due to the lackluster O

It stings wondering how many rings Ray and Co. would have won with even a serviceable offense over the last decade....

Speaking of the 2007 season. The fact that we gave the Dolphins their only win of the season was so totally humiliating. I felt sick for a week after that loss.

Who knew Cam Cameron would be haunting us 3 years later? Damn football Gods and their sick sense of humor!

I know people are gonna kill me for this, but if I ever had to root for another team, it might just be the Pats. Them being Steeler killers is also a big reason I like them. :D

Thats one of the reasons this past weekend was so painful.
Lets see:
- Ravens lost
- Ravens Lost to the Steelers (epic choke no less)
- Jets won (2nd most hated team)
- Pats lost
- Ravens blew a shot to host the AFCC
- AFCC game = lose/lose for me

2006 Colts loss was worse. You could even throw in the 2007 loss to the Patriots, I still get mad over that one if I'm reminded of it.
Thats my all time hurtful loss. That game was ours until the int. That loss to Pitt when Holmes didn't break the plane, and IMO the biased refs called it a TD anyway.

Oh, that's another bad one. I don't understand how they can go from not calling it a TD, on the field, to reversing the call when there was no decisive evidence. It's all immaterial, now, but still...

The loss to the Steelers this year was bad. Really bad. But if the Ravens had won this game... I can't say I was sure they would be able to beat the Jets or even the Packers if they played either of those teams the rest of the way.

In 2006, the Ravens had a bye week. They had home field advantage. And I have no doubt in my mind that the Ravens would have dominated ANY other team that year... which means if they got past the Colts, they would have won their 2nd Super Bowl. The defense SHUT DOWN Peyton Manning in his prime... limiting the Colts to 5 field goals, two of which were over 50 yards. And to make it worse, we know who ended up "winning" the Super Bowl that year.

Isn't this the same game where Derrick Mason clearly caught a touchdown, but they didn't count it? Harbaugh didn't challenge it, but still... it should have counted.

I believe so. I also remember the Steelers clearly coming up at least a yard short of the first but they looked it over and STILL gave them the first. They needed like the 30 and got to the 28 and a half and got a first down.

Am I the only one still really angry about the Falcons game this year? I know the implications weren't nearly as big as my other top losses, but still, that one still stings

I definitely get angry about the Falcons game. No points in the first half and the turnover off a punt return are just as frustrating to me as what we saw in the second half.

I respect your opinion, but I can't really understand that one.

We were terrible that year. Not sure what a win over the Patriots would have done for us.

How doe falling one game short of hosting the AFCC compare to that?
True..but for me this playoff loss didn't hurt as much. I know it sounds weird but that's the truth. This loss against the Steelers I shrugged off in about a day and a half. That Patriots game crushed me for the better part of a week.

Everyone reacts differently :)

2009 loss to Vikings.... Hauscka's miss fg......
2007 loss to Browns.... Team is celebrating win in locker room just to be told that the fg was good. then loss in OT
2007 loss to winless Dolphins....nuff said

2005-- 'Malice in his heart' has turned into a joke for me. I just shake my head and use that when people get on me for saying the refs SUCK.
2007-- Pats that more annoyed me then anything else
2007 -- Loss to the Browns was unreal, only in Baltimore can that happen

Santonio Holmes TD game just pisses me off.

After reading this list I am beginning to question why I like football lol

Now from the standpoint of the cold weather wuss that I am and our fate was decided a week ago-- I am sure glad someone else is freezing their asses off tomorrow. That outside Superbowl in the Meadowlands is looking like a really stupid decision in 2014.

Yea, this lost comes 2nd and the 2007 loss to the Colts is definitely first. Still can't get over us losing to the Steelers last week though, unbelievable.

Imo, this one was number 1 and will remain there forever lol.
No doubt about it. A 14-point lead, they were out of challenges, everything was working our way. But the team blew it. Had it, lost it. Awful.
Does anyone have a video of that Browns game in 2007?
Or the Lions game? Just asking
Check NFL.com/videos and go to the Baltimore Ravens section. You can check game highlights all the way back til 2003 I believe.

By far the worst coached, and played game in the history of the team...Harbaugh extension can wait, i dont think he can get past the Steelers.

I can think of 5 games off the top of my head worse than the 31-24 loss the Ravens suffered.

Harbaugh's extension won't wait.

Perhaps. Then again, they only lost by 7 pts and still had a chance to win that "worst coached and played game in Ravens' history".

I'm not really sure where to rank this. I don't think that it's even the worst loss to Pittsburgh in the playoffs in the last three years.

I felt the same way. I had to leave just before halftime, but I figured the score would end up 31-21 because I just knew that Baltimore wouldn't play for sixty minutes.

As it's been said, it was just kind of 'deja vu' really.

As I watched the game and Rice fumbled & the Steelers scored -- I told my oldest son (and those sitting around us); "Watch and see, they're going to let the Steelers back into this ballgame," and they did.

As for my losses; I hate losing, period. I know every team can't be perfect but when you look at our game-stats -- we could've been 16-0 this year w/ a bye-week and home-field advantage throughout. It just sucks...

~ Malkavian Raven

PS: Mod 2, love the new sig image! It just screams, "I'm the boss!"

Off the top of your head a worst defeat than a seven point lost in the playoffs where you led 21-7 at halftime then blew the whole lead in one quarter......Wow enlighten me.
