They were deleted. But to be fair, some of them (not all) were in response to other posters who had also crossed the line. We have a strict rule on retaliation that goes both ways that's been well-documented.

It would be nice if the board moderators could edit those posters who think they know everything AND always have the right answers and become confrontational when they write about OUR Ravens. Seeing the big picture on this message board stops someone who thinks they are an expert on matters here. So if someone thinks he/she has ALL the answers wouldn't the team hire him/her?

I am over it already. I do not have a problem with the two or three Steeler regulars that are here because they keep it respectful. I do have a problem with the nagging trolls who come here and post. There is nothing on the Steelers board worthy of discussion so i do not blame them for being regulars here.

Not to mention, the Steelers' official message board has a strict registration process that's also extremely selective; Mod 2's been waiting for over a year for her registration to clear, and I've waited months now -- and tried registering [u]twice[/u].

Pretty damn bad if they deny [i]me[/i] and I don't talk trash at all.

Who is making the decisions. Just seems a bit arbitrary. I could see this if someone had be abusive, but this presumes someone is not proper without trial.

I'm not in charge of anything. It's only 25 posts (your're 17 posts away), its not the end of the world. The board needs some rules to the mayhem. The people who post here regular do not want 200 threads about firing Cam, etc.

From my limited times on their board i have never seen any posters from other team sites on there but there must be some who are floating around there.

This policy is actually stated in the [url="http://boards.baltimoreravens.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules"]Code of Conduct[/url], to which everyone agreed to abide upon registration.

These policies were determined in accordance with the National Football League's standards for official team websites and message boards, in collaboration with the Baltimore Ravens Digital Media Team and the message board's team-appointed Moderators.

In essence, the post requirement was created to deter spam and trolling behavior from rival fans, as well as to reduce the number of duplicate threads on the same topic. As is the nature of all discussion forums, topics are bound to be repeated. In seeking to improve the quality of conversation, we condense identical topics into singularly-merged threads. This has been met with overwhelmingly positive community feedback.

Furthermore, our post requirement encourages more frequent participation upon registration, rather than simple one-and-done thoughts. 15 posts is fairly simple to attain, and bear in mind that thread-starting may be restricted if a user is suspected of free-posting merely for the purpose of meeting that requirement.

The reason we have a post limit is because of spammers and one post 'You Suck" "insert players name Sucks" and they never come back. We also had people spamming everything from Jerseys, Viagra and Coach Bags.

I tried registering too, however I didn't check any boxes that would send Steeler fan info and updates to my email. Maybe that is their clue that I wasn't a Stweeler fan

dont ask questions if you dont want them answered.

And he also already explained why the 25 post rule is in effect. There is nothing arbitrary about it; it helps to keep the trolls and duplicate threads at bay.,,,,

It should really be more, like above 100. Some people just say a word or two in the Game Thread or News section, like "yay!", "go Ravens!", "HEAAAP!", until they're able to get to that limit where it allows them to make a topic, and once they do, they're always ****ing and complaining or making duplicates. At least with 100+, you'll think that they have read the board and understand the rules, but some people are just clueless.

It's an idea, and personally I was pushing for 50 posts at first, but the consensus we reached was that we didn't want to be too exclusionary. The 15 posts stands for now, but we'll likely discuss it again during our next meeting at Ravens HQ.
