Digging up posts from the past.  Have you seen your girl in La La Land yet?  Could get her an Oscar.  It's a competitive race but damn was she stellar in La La Land. She told a million stories with her face alone.

I want to watch La La Land so bad but I'm not sure I can get over the whole musical aspect of it.  I've heard it's incredible though, but I feel like I'd lose interest so quickly.

Just watched The Green Room which is sadly probably one of Anton yelchins last roles. Patrick Stewart plays the main villain but he's rather subdued. It's one of those movies that has a very simple and straight forward narrative which is why it's only like 90 minutes. The movie is quite good though as a thriller. Its from the same director who made Blue Ruin which I also really liked. Guy is a good filmmaker.

I really enjoyed this movie, didn't expect that much gore

The musical aspect really isn't that bad.  The opening scene has this big song and dance, which worried me a bit but then things settled down.  There really are only a few sung songs.  But those songs are paired with stunning cinematography and lyrics that add to the story.  It's the type of musical that non-musical viewers can enjoy.

The ending is what puts a stamp on the film.

Arrival- I was waiting to see this for a long time.  I really enjoyed the science parts but overall the movie was kind of a let down imo, maybe my expectations were to too high.  I havent seen many people talk about it, but some friends of mine had troubling following the premise which i predicted decently early.

Seen the previews and think it's supposed to be a comedy horror.  Probably going to check it out.

I think it was written and directed by Jordan Peele(Key and Peele, Mad TV and Keanu).  I get the horror feel, but I think there's suppose to be subtle humor.

Don't let that deter you, but was just saying.  I'll probably see it in theaters cause I love horror films.

Some classics you just don't remake....

White Men Can't Jump

So if they were two remake this movie, which they absolutely shouldn't, who would you have play the part of Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson?

Best I can come up with is Justin Timberlake and Anthony Mackie

The Last Jedi

I think Luke Skywalker fans are going to be saddened by episode 8. I suspect he won't make it out alive.

I wouldn't mind. Rey is a better character anyway.

Yeah I said it.

Well I certainly hope that Kylo isn't Rey's father :P. That'd be weird.

Nah but they could very easily end up being related and something will happen that Rey needs to leave her training to help her friends and confronts Kylo Ren again. Would not be hard for them to do. Maybe throw in a battle at the start to provide some action and have the resistance be beaten and on the run.

I dont know if anyone is a fan of the Rampage series, but i really am.  I know its pretty messed up, but the overall message i like, obviously i dont agree with his actions.
