They are making this into a movie and I am super hyped up for it.

Same.  I'm not a big video game guy, and especially not one that does much more than sports games.  I loved TLoU though.  Think I've played it from start to end maybe 4 times now.  Best game I've ever played, personally.  My only real fear of it being turned into a movie is that it's almost a movie already.

Won't be hard to make it into a good movie. I'm more concerned that it'll be like the Resident Evil movies (side note, I actually really like them...) and they'll really change up the movie from the games.

Also another side note, they're making another The Last of Us. Hopefully in late 2017 or early 2018.

I've been looking for updates on it for the past half-year. Seems to be stuck in some sort of development hell

It is and honestly it should stay that way based on Sony Pictures track record. Apparently what Druckmann wants is different from what the Sony Pictures people want.

Rogue One was amazing... go see it!

I saw it and I liked it, but I didn't love it.

I'm really glad that Disney took a risk doing something so different with the Star Wars universe and I hope they will do other things outside of the Skywalker-focused box. However, this movie failed to make me connect with the characters so I was, consequently, not as invested in them as I had hoped (no pun intended ;) )to be.

It wasn't bad, but it was one of those movies where I felt like I kept waiting for it to get to the good part, and it didn't come until those last 20 minutes or so. I don't know what it was missing, but the big thing, I think, is that I wasn't at all invested in the characters.

My top movies for 2016(of ones I enjoyed the most)

1. Star Trek Beyond. So much fun. Good story, great action, funny, and FUN.

2. Rouge One. Loved what they're doing with the Star Wars universe. Left something to be desired but all in all, a fun movie. Best Star Wars prequel by far

3. The Magnificent Seven: Its Chris Pratt in Cowboy Gear. What's not to love? Not a good movie for plot but was a fun watch

4. Hail Ceaser- Surprisngly very funny with a great cast. I could watch Brolin slap Clooney for hours

5. Civil War- Lots of plot holes but the best super hero movie since the Dark Knight.

6. Zootopia: *insert Bunnies have lots of babies joke here*

7. Xmen Appocalypise- So much unjustified hate. Not great but still a rock solid movie with a great cast. Sans Jennifer Lawrence who sucked in the movie. Plus the quicksilver scene makes the movie worth it all by itself.

8. Fantastic Beasts: I love the potter books and Eddie Redmayne is a great actor. Never want to watch it again, but was worth watching.

9. Deadpool: Hilarious, one of the funniest movies I've ever watched. But I'm only a fan of the character in small doses.

Worst movies of 2016

1. Now you see me 2: what an utter disgrace of a film. Not fun, and so very stupid.

2. Gods of Egypt: This movie made me want to jump in front of a moving bus.

3. Jack reacher 2: Just a piss poor adaptation.

4. Ghostbusters: How this movie has a high rating on RT makes it lose credibility. It tarnished the original

5. Independence Day 2: why did we get this sequel

6. TMNT: you took a role Stephen Amell was tailor made for and totally messed it up.

7. Mike and Dave need wedding dates: Just.... no. Why?

Underrated movies of 2016

1. Batman v Superman: Parts of it are great. Some people I know are calling it the worst movie ever when I'd honestly take this movie over every movie in the worst category. It's got some atrocious parts, but some are fantastic.

2. London has fallen: This movie is well aware of its stupidity. It's fun, and knows it's terrible, making it very entertaining.

3. Alligent: This is a hell of a lot better than the previous two divergent movies, which were both garbage. Jeff Daniels is great, and the action sequences aren't bad. But smile Miles Teller.

4. Eddie the Eagle: Am a sucker for sports stories and Hugh Jackman.

Overrated movies

1. Doctor Strange. Best casting marvel has done in the MCU since RDJ as iron man. But its very predictable and only had one captivating moment. Waste of a very good cast imo.

You didn't like Mike and Dave?  Obviously it's not an award winner or anything, but it definitely got quite a few laughs out of me.  One of those raunchy comedies where you don't really care about the storyline, just the humor.

Emma Stone

Digging up posts from the past.  Have you seen your girl in La La Land yet?  Could get her an Oscar.  It's a competitive race but damn was she stellar in La La Land. She told a million stories with her face alone.

Just watched The Green Room which is sadly probably one of Anton yelchins last roles. Patrick Stewart plays the main villain but he's rather subdued. It's one of those movies that has a very simple and straight forward narrative which is why it's only like 90 minutes. The movie is quite good though as a thriller. Its from the same director who made Blue Ruin which I also really liked. Guy is a good filmmaker.

im always gonna trust druckmann over sony pictures any day - although let's see how tlou part 2 is before they start thinking about making a movie for definite - the problem is they can never use the same characters because the voice actors look so different from the characters they portray - in which case you are starting from ground zero and you're gonna have to make a great movie to justify people's faith

Watched Nocturnal Animals, it was pretty intense.  A good thriller and very well written in my opinion.
