God's of Egypt -  good God,  so terrible....

Yeah I avoided that one off the trailer alone. Was it entertaining at least like some other bad movies?

I wont lie, there was some cool parts, but I also really enjoy old Egyptian type stuff.  It was just one of those movies where they just tried to over do it with special effects and CGI etc...Some of the fight scenes were cool, but then it just became too much.  I honestly am at a loss of words how to describe, other than I would like to go purchase the DVD, so I physically have it, so I can burn it

So you're one of the people with the positive opinion then.

With everyone who's seen the movie, they've had one of two opinions, that Cloud Atlas was a masterpiece, or it was the worst movie ever. I've never seen anyone in-between.

Yea i completely agree.  I just told my younger sister to watch it and i told her, you will either love it or absolutely hate it.  Its a lot of work to watch honestly, but its well worth it to me.  To me, you dont just watch it, you experience it.  Your thoughts?

Sidenote, anyone have any good time travel movies? i just watched a movie called Syncrocinity which i wasnt a huge fan of, but it got me int he mood for that stuff.  Prime or Primer was an interesting one.  I actually enjoyed Project Almanac.  Theres another one that i cant remember the name where there is a machine across the street that takes pictures into the future or something....

I just watched that one. It's called time lapse with the flash girl in it. There's another interesting one called parallels where the building travels in time. Is cloud atlas a time travel movie?

Did anyone ever watch the sci fi show Babylon 5. It did a very good job connecting one story through all seasons and used time travel.

I cant stand horror movies anymore. Its gotten out of line with gross scenes with blood and gore like Texas Chainsaw Massacre,,Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm street. Why cant they just stick to old fashion Frankenstein and Dracula movies just the way they made them back in 40s & 50s?

I liked Parallels, but it ended to quickly for me.  I wanted to know more...

Others I left out: Looper, 12 Monkeys.  Obviously there is Back to the Future, Terminator, The Time Machine.  Thers quite a few, but I like the ones with some science in it.

I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that out of the 6+billion people in the world, people have different taste.  Just a hunch.

What are the dumbest movie type?  The dumbest are about Aliens invading earth. Independence Day back in 1996 was the dumbest movie i ever saw. These types go all the way back to the 50s Remember War of the Worlds?

That was a pretty stupid movie. Aliens are not threatening us. If Aliens do ever come they just want to greet us and do no harm.

Man, where do you come up with this stuff.  It's like you want every single person to have the same opinion and never think outside the box.

And the fact that you are so sure that Aliens mean us no harm means there is only one obvious answer, you're an alien

I just saw 10 Cloverfield Lane and I thought it was really good. I liked that it kept a tight focus on a small number of well-developed characters and it maintained suspense throughout.

I have seen some complaints online about the ending, but I was fine with that too. Has anyone else here checked it out yet?

I just watched it. Thought it was good too. Lot of unanswered questions. Also came across a theory that Emmett was responsible for several events which was quite plausible too.
