Theres a 3d version????

Yeah, I didn't realize there was a 3-D version either... I think it may just be IMAX but NOT 3-D.

Let us know if it's worth seeing in IMAX.

Will do, friend. I have a feeling anything with Spielberg attached to it is IMAX worthy.

Yeah, and JJ Abrams has been money as well.

Very happy he took the helm of the new Star Trek franchise.

I didn't like Damon in True Grit, he was a little too silly considering the overall tone and subject matter.

Super 8 is really good, but works much better as a coming of age story than as a monster flick.

Yeah, it's a nice theatre, but all the new shows are almost always sold out... I went to UA Snowden River to see First Class the night it came out and had no problem getting a ticket, AND it's a nice theatre to boot.

Ohh yea!! If the movie I want to see isnt available in IMAX, I ALWAYS got to Snowden! It's a nice little get away from Mall Parking and seems to have a LOT less youger punks hanging out.I too saw first class at Snowden!

Yeah, don't even get me started on the parking debacle that is Columbia Mall.

Super 8 is a great overall movie. Worth seeing in IMAX if you can spare the $. Its little parts of Goonies, ET, and Stand By Me all rolled up into Abrams love letter to Spielberg. If you were a teen or pre-teen during those movies, you'll appreciate this movie even more. The ending was a bit meh, but the overall movie is fantastic. I wish the fat kid had done the Truffle Shuffle, that would have been the icing on the cake!

No problem. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Really great job on capturing the period as well. Soundtrack is wonderful. Took me back.

Awesome.

I think my dad wants us to take him to see The Green Lantern as part of his Father's Day... I'm hoping DC gets this one right.

Not looking so good according to rottentomatoes. Currently has a 27% rating. Yikes

Super 8 sucked

Hahaha aw, I kinda wanted to see it. Without giving it away: was it a story problem or an acting/casting/cinematographic problem?

The acting was excellent, especially for the little kids. The movie itself was just awful and the only reason it's been getting some good reviews is because of who directed and produced it. I think Abrams is overrated to be honest. I probably should have known that the monster was going to be so cliche due to the PG-13 rating it has. It was just boring in my opinion, go to a matinee showing if you really want to see it.

Hahah good review. I'll probably still end up seeing it at some point - wasn't a big fan of Lost or Cloverfield, either, two Abrams projects...

Saw Kung Fu Panda 2 in 3D yesterday. Good movie, great fight scenes, awesome scenery. 3.5 out of 5

That acting was great, the visuals were subpar. The stoy line was cliche, as was the "monster". Nothing stood out to me, I thought the movie was bad. So what.
