saw Source Code last night! I like it, but I figured out things FAR too quickly in the movie. It's no thriller like inception but still worth the trip to the movies IMO.

Monsters is a great alien invasion flick, realistic and much better than Battle LA and Skyline (probably because it's made by a British director). It's the first movie I've seen in a long time that wasn't predictable.

I enjoyed Source Code as well,

the thought of parallel universes is interesting to me although I wasn't quite sure how the events at the end could impact the events in another parallel universe.

Guys you have to see Scream 4...especially if youre a fan of 1, 2, and 3. I loved it. I've always been a Scream fan and I thought this one was better than even the original. One of the most unpredictable horror movies I can remember. You'll spend the whole movie trying to figure out who the killer is and youll never get it. I give it 8 or 9 out of 10 stars.

I must admit, that's pretty surprising. Only have seen bits and pieces of Scream so I didn't bother with 2 or 3.

No, I thought it was pretty good, but since I didn't watch it all the way through I didn't want to watch the other 2. I'm sure I'll get to it one of these days.

Being forced to see Scream 4 tomorrow. Were the first three any good or were they the typical, cliched horror movies with a bunch of teenagers?

I've refused to see any of them on principle

I'm with him. I'd rather watch "Follow that bird"

But it has The Rock and Vin Diesel, it's like Fast and Furious mixed with a Chuck Norris joke.

OMG, I sat through The Last Airbender last night. Did MNS just dip a ladle in a cellulite port-a-pot or what? That was the worst movie I think I've ever seen. Its like they just pulled people at random off the street to act in it! Even the fighting choreography was beyond pathetic.

Gonna watch Monsters today/tonight based on BloodRavens review.

Happy 4/20 movie lovers!

Anyone planning to see Fast 5?

I can't believe that movie ever made four sequels. Of course, I can't believe Vin Diesel is seriously still making movies either.

I refuse to call TLA a movie. It was a benchmark test to see how long it takes an absolutely horrendous excuse for a movie to drive people to either walk out of the theater or turn it off (depending on how you're watching it). Those who sat through it shall be as gods after enduring and inflicting such pain upon themselves to try to drive others away from it.

They're all cliched, but it's done in a tounge-in-cheek way.

It did make fun of itself/horror movie cliches a lot. Pretty funny.

Again, I didn't see any of the first three but I liked it. It's not a "scary movie", like an "Alien" or "Exorcist" movie but, rather a "jumpy" movie. I jumped a lot. A lot of "he's right behind you!" and plot twists in the story.

Definitely unique. LOTS of blood. LOTS of pretty girls being murdered. Lots of phone calls. But they made fun of it the whole time, the entire movie is filled with jokes.

I love the Scary Movie series so I couldn't help myself from always thinking of Officer Dewey as Officer Doofy

Were you sarcastic when you said definitely unique haha? I think its unique because there's no nudity and no drugs and they actually have decent storylines instead of people just going around slaughtering people for no reason. And Scream 4 was unpredictable. I guarantee you didn't see the killers coming.

Well nudity and drugs? I don't know how much that has to do with slasher, adrenaline movies. I didn't mean to be sarcastic, it was unique in the aspect that it had all of the clichéd archetypes yet made fun of them the whole time.

The story was marginal, better than I was expecting. "Decent", like you said, is a good word for it.

And I was mad that there were

two killers!
Made it impossible for me to figure out who it was. I was convinced it was the reporter... until she got stabbed  Definitely unpredictable but it all made sense, towards the end.

Friday the 13th? Halloween? They definitely have some of that in there. Others too but can't think of any off the top of my head. I do love Halloween though...oh right right.

Well there was

two killers
in Scream 1 and 2 but that threw me off too. I was convinced it was just about everyone at one point or another haha. I suspected the blonde cop and Trevor even though I knew they were both too obvious, Hayden Panettiere, the publicist, Jill, and Robbie. So pretty much the entire cast haha. Never saw those, sorry. You're right about that, I guess Scream was unique in that rite.

Yeah, like you, I suspected Trevor was too obvious right off the bat. I thought it could've been the blonde cop, too, lol. Which killing did you like the best? The Trevor one was pretty brutal. And the blood-bath of the next-door neighbor was gruesome, too. Anthony Anderson getting a knife in the forehead. Yughhh

Yeah, my girlfriend said there were two killers in the first one. But, again, I never saw it so I was taken for a loop. My only knowledge of Scream 1 came from Scary Movie 1 haha.

Scary movie is great haha...I liked the Jill kill the best because she was a ruthless, nasty B hahaha...besides that probably the next-door neighbor
