 For the first time? What took you so long?

Agree, it's a timeless classic.

Not everyone was able to see it when it came out...

Animal House, wow thats... how do I put it nicely... seasoned?

Anyway you guys should check out Rango. I read the rave reviews and took my girl out to see it with neither of us knowing what to expect. But it's a FANTASTIC movie.

Well, I appreciate the effort. <_<

I had to look it up to see what year it was made... go see Rango.

It was one of those cases where my young Mother didn't have a baby sitter and didn't think it would be that bad (good). haha. I was just a kid.

On that note, is Rango appropriate for a 10 year old?

I just watched The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It was a pretty good movie with some good twists and Swedish [slur deleted]s. Definitely glad I saw it so I can tell people that the original is better once the American remake is released.

He'd probably like the action sequences but it's definitely more adult orientated, not low brow just very classic themes.

Ebert tore it apart, but I like watching mindless action so i'll see it.

Finally watched The Town, now I don't like Ben Affleck but thats a good movie, better than The Fighter but not quite Mystic River.

it was awesome. I like action.

I don't like it when aliens are portrayed as machines, which is why "Signs" is one of my favorite movies ever

Ya I was impressed with Affleck in that movie as well, he seems to have turned himself around as a director and has been involved in more movies that take place around Boston which plays to his strength.

It's just not realistic. I know that that's ironic since all alien movies should be viewed as unrealistic, but at least a movie like "Signs" taps into peoples' fears because that's at least what we think of when we read or hear about aliens. Not machines that can blow up cities.

ya its a little tongue in cheek, i was thinkin that myself, hard to justify y aliens as machines doesnt seem right, when there is no proof aliens actually exist haha

I saw Rango this past weekend. I enjoyed it but my wife was bored and kept asking if we could leave. I guess she's not a fan of Westerns with existential drama posing as a children's movie.

Just saw battle la tonight... Really enjoyed it..

Was very sckeptical at first with the whole alien basis and everything considering that i hate two kinds of movies... Aliens and horror movies. . Never watch tgem and never really will

but battle la was a really good realistic movie with a decent story.... Definitely worth a watch

Spring Break checklist:

-In Bruges - I really liked it, guy I was with hated it for making a hitman movie a comedy

-State of Play - solid, kind of slow

-Takers - action packed, pretty bad acting, but entertaining

-RED - mehh...

-The Expendables - don't take your girlfriend

-Kill Bill 1 & 2 - love Tarantino... enjoyed both

-District 9 - little too far-fetched for me

-Brooklyn's Finest - pretty let down, but worth watching

-Rescue Dawn - war movie/survival, thoroughly enjoyed it

-Faster - better than I expected.. pretty good story, the Rock wasn't bad in it

next on the list:

-Pulp Fiction

-Heat

-Godfather II and III

-No County for Old Men

Someone married you?

:P

I tend to listen to Ebert's reviews except when it comes to action flicks, he usually can't accept them for what they are, I mean Kick *** was a great movie.

"Signs" was a great movie. I can't wait to see Battle: LA; Michelle Rodriguez is one of my faves :) It's too bad she almost always gets killed off though.

-Pulp Fiction

-No County for Old Men

Pulp Fiction is a great movie.

I watched the majority of No Country for Old Men for the first time over the weekend and while the ending left me puzzled, the story really sucked me in.
