Not a movie, but if you like Lost, you will probably like Battlestar Galactica. Great writing and good acting. Im not a sci-fi buff at all and I love this show.

Had friends over for taco dinner last night and watched Dinner with Schmucks.....

Ironically we dubbed it "Taco Dinner for Schmucks". Had some really funny parts. the Carell/ Galifianakis Mind Control vs. Brain Control battles are classic. 3.5 out of 5

Watched that movie a few weeks ago. I agree with a 3.5 out of 5.

I couldn't count how many times I went back to watch Therman (Galifianakis) laugh. Too funny.

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Unless you don't have any water or sugar. And then you just eat the lemons, and the rind will give you diarrhea.

Look at us, quoting a terrible movie like it's the new Anchorman.

Seriously though Battle: Los Angeles looks like a fresh take on a played out genre.

I guess it's just a case of a movie being so bad, it's good.

Considering how some are commenting on movies in this wake of the Oscars, maybe I should dig out my DVDs of four particular flicks - Blazing Saddles, Silver Streak, That Thing You Do! and The Express. I thought those were pretty good movies.

Ever notice how a lot of comedians often do their best work in drama?

Andy Rooney? You're not gonna start rambling about gas prices and how hiring a good gardener is impossible these days, are you? :P

Any word on the 24 Movie? That would be something I would go see in the theatres.

I just finished watching seasons 1-3 (again) on Netflix. Can't wait to start season 4. IMO the best and the last really good one.

Finally saw The Godfather, and let me just say: What a movie. Top 10 all-time perhaps...

 For the first time? What took you so long?

Agree, it's a timeless classic.

Certainly a great movie. Now go watch 2! lol But save yourself the trouble and don't watch 3.

Yeah, I had inexplicably never gotten around to it, but I finally decided that it was time, and it did not disappoint.

Part 2 is on tap for the weekend or sometime over my spring break... I'll end up watching 3 even though I've heard it was pretty bad in comparison... I don't like leaving Trilogies unfinished, you know?

I get you. I usually don't judge actors harshly on their performances but Sofia Coppola as Michael's daughter was horrible.
