Well, I tried that. I was a Raven's fan up until 2003. I cheered for them in '99 and 2000. I was impressed with them in 2001 when they did so well after dismantling that Superbowl team. I was at the 2001 game against the Titans and lost my voice as the Ravens won that game. That was when I moved to Baltimore and was told by relatives, friends, co-workers, etc. that I couldn't be both a Raven's fan and a Redskins fan. When I lived in DC no one hated the Ravens, but when I came here I found out that there are tons of Ravens fans who can't stand the Redskins.

But, I'm trying to be openminded. I've said all along that I'll give them another shot once Billick and Ray Lewis are gone. Half of that has come true.

I hope Ray has 2 more years in him. Its not going to be the same watching the Ravens Defense on the field without him.

edit - Our team never would have been a fearsome defense without him. Im glad Billick is gone. But never Ray. Losing Ray on our defense is like losing Portis on the Redskins offense.... or the Redskins just playing without a QB.

Yes. I can't stomach Ray Lewis. At least not in his later years. It's just a personal thing. I don't think that the Raven's will ever go deep into the playoffs with him here. He went from being a great player and a good guy to a demi-god with too much say. I think that he divides the lockeroom and destroys the coaching staffs authority. That's just my opinion.

Most of us really knew Seastallion was a Redskins Fan, We let Him drag His same old crap on for days without really letting Him know it. I mean the guy was talking about secret center's in Hong Kong. And you wanna know what else I know about Him, He was putting votes in and trying to get us DQ'd. Thats the whole reason they stopped the votes early.

Regardless the tally that they have up now is the legit one. POE PUT THE SMACKDOWN ON CHIEF ZEE, DONT HATE THE FACTS JUST ACCEPT IT!! Way to go all Ravens fans, and to others from other teams that may have been voting for Poe!

Like all young QB's, we have high hopes for him. I think that he is the best prospect that we've had in a long time. But, this is his season to prove himself.

I'm having a hard time understanding why that is so hard to fathom. You can be a fan of a team and not like certain aspects of that team even if they are fundemental to that team. Do you think that I liked the Redskins persuit of every big named over the free agent in the early 00's? I didn't like Deion Sanders as a Skin, but I put up with it. I didn't like it when they got rid of Stephen Davis only to sign Trung Candidate! I'm sure that you could find a bunch of Bengals fans that don't like Chad Johnson, even though he is the face of that franchise.

The Raven's brand and fan loyalty will still be there long after Ray Lewis retires.
