EVERYONE LISTEN UP: This "contest" will be debated until the end of time. There is no doubt in my mind that there was plenty of cheating going on for both candidates. The funny thing, though, is it looks the the "Poe Cheaters" were not even Ravens fans...they were anti-skins.

Apparently the ***skin fans want to come here and "blame" us for their loss. As gracious winners, we may just have to put up with it for a few days. The more you ignore them, the sooner they'll go away. If they misbehave badly enough, they'll be kicked out. The "automated" parts weren't even counted. Here's from the article:

I can understand that you really wanted to win this thing,but you're just going to have to accept the fact that as of now, Poe is the NFL's feircest mascot. Hey, maybe next year all right? We are going to have to accept that Poe is the NFL's fiercest mascot just because Poe had better cheaters than the Redskins did?

I mean, it is no secret that Zee pulled even with Poe at 50-50, and then all of a sudden, like a switch was flipped, Poe's % just started going up every hour until it was 58-42 at one point.

But even if the vote numbers were legit, which everyone outside of Baltimore knows they weren't, why do I have to "accept" anything.

I think Zeema can probably kick the crap out of the college punk in Poe's suite.

I think in real life, a true Native American would eat a Rat Bird for breakfast with a side of eggs.

Man, the level this was taken seriously is so funny.

Honestly, this was a Mascot competetion and our guy won fair and square. Macros are easy to catch with a little bit of research so...us jumping out to that lead was not deemed cheating and therefore legit. All of the talk about 24 hour macros from your camp was what tipped CBS off to what was going on. Congrats to Poe and the Ravens organization.

Actually, I get the idea that he was the leader of the people voting for poe who used automated voting methods. If we hadn't cheated in the first place, the 'skins would have been disqualified anyway, instead they cut all the automated votes out and we happened to be winning at that particular point in time.

So I guess you could say he did everything and nothing at the same time. With bad grammar and spelling at that.

If you ask me, this little mascot contest is more trouble than it's worth - but, honestly, it's just a few troublemakers ruining these threads for everyone else.

Fair warning - names like "Rat Boy" and running smack about cheating not only make you look like sore losers, but will result in the loss of posting privileges - whether you're a "#1 fan" or not. Follow Raven07's advice and keep it clean. The contest was meant to be fun. It's not as if your manhood is at stake because your mascot lost.

Look, to all you Redskins fans out there as well as the Ravens fans on this board:

BOTH SIDES CHEATED

so what they did was cut out all the votes that were automated from the time automated votes started being detected. At that point in time, POE was WINNING and therefore they went with that result.

therefore:

-You skins fans can't say we won just because of the cheaters who voted for Poe (who aren't Ravens fans anyway)

-We can't say that there weren't people cheating on our behalf (although we still get bragging rights because our non-cheating Raven fans pulled through and got Poe the win)

-Nobody should really be starting beef over a freaking' mascot competition in the first place, thats just silly

-The DC-Metro area has teams from both conferences in the NFL so technically all of us could root for both teams (and only play favorites when they play each other)

-And basically, you can't change the results or what happened, so let it be what it is and let's all go back to getting excited about training camp and what next year holds in store

It's a mascot competition, so all this shows is: in maryland we take pride in representing ourselves. Way to make it to the finals, and at first I thought it was cool other teams fans were rooting for Poe, but in the end it was annoying; I would of rather finished 2nd to Zee in a good compitition. But none the less it was fun and I voted for Poe and did it fairly. So good luck skin fans to a healthy season. All I can say is the skins better be ready once Dec. 7 arrives cause Baltimore is looking to bring in it's 3rd superbowl to even up the score with the Redskins. And since the Colts last season in Baltimore was in 83' thats 13 years of no NFL football for Baltimore, so those colts in IND. can shove those horse shoes while our Ravens fly high and feast on the competition.

i agree with you completely. i voted fair as well, bots or automatic voting or anything. I actually voted on every round of this competition on every mascot. i gave more votes for poe though cuz well...he's the mascot of my favorite team (duh). but i did give each mascot i thought was "more fierce" my vote every round. Funny thing because, I voted for Zee all the way (I thought Sir Purr was pretty slick too, til he got killed lol), and honestly thought it was going to be the biggest competition we'd have to face. Well, I guess it was. Even thought we won, it's awesome you guys made it to the final round as well. Now the whole of DC and MD can brag to the rest f the nations that we got the most bad-a** mascots in the NFL. So in that regard, congratulations.

on another note, i was thinking of other ways we could possibly celebrate Poe's victory as the most fierce mascot in the NFL, so I made a couple suggestions in the Feedback section I'd like you Ravens fans to check out and give your opinion or maybe offer new ideas
