So Ed's not going to Pro-bowl.

Are you serious? Let the man rest his body so he can play next season without issue.

I'd love to see Ed making plays in the Pro Bowl like it was 2004 too but this is 2010 and he needs rest more than playing in a meaningless exhibition game.

Not to mention be with his family during a very hard time.

Ngata hurt himself last year, so I don't want him playing either, and I doubt he'll want to risk that as contract negotiations are hot and heavy... the only guy that can play without serious threat of injury is Cundiff.

Agreed. I'm ashamed to say that didn't even cross my mind.

The PB is a joke. Sandwiched between the Conference Championship and SB which means many of the best players will not play. Ngata got hurt in the PB last year. Pick your best players and give them a parade instead of playing a meaningless game.

Would love to have another on his resume but next year is whey more important than one meaningless game
Isn't it technically still on his resume?

I think they should just play a flag football game. The players don't want to tackle unless they have to in pads anyway.

Not according to "the Network". LOL. This video never gets old:

Yep. Still gets the honors and everything - just doesn't have to play.

Yes, it's still on his resume even though he won't be playing.

I also agree with previous comments regarding that I'd rather him sit out the game and not risk getting hurt. The Pro Bowl is a nice idea in theory, but the NFL is too violent a sport to have a true All-Star game where you see players give it their all. Just give them some flags or something so I don't have to worry about my favorite players getting hurt.

When Ray opted out of one it didn't count for him

He's still getting credit as a pro bowler this year right?
Yes, he is.
