[Blogs] Ravens Trust Flacco WILL Take Games Over

167 posts in this topic

It's just about official now that the Ravens are the Philadelphia Eagles of several years ago. Good record every year, playoff participant, and early exit. It's just a shame that a team with such talent can't make it to the next level. Now what do the Ravens and those Eagles have in common? Yep, you guessed it. The Ravens head coach was the special teams coach for those Eagle teams. What he learned in Philadelphia will now be the Ravens legacy.

Flacco is gonna be a great Q.B and needs time to develop. He was thrown in the trenches from his first day in the nfl so he has had to learn on the fly. The one thing they should do with flacco in the offseason is put some more muscle weight on him so he has the strength to break tackles and extend plays...So stop pointing fingers at Flacco this aint philly we stand behind our team no matter what..GO RAVENS!

Pretty sure Joe hit Anquan in the chest for a TD that he dropped. Field Goal. He also hit TJ in the chest for a 21 yard play on 4th and 18. Season Over. Football is the ultimate team game, and Joe has doen his part. It takes a catch on the other end of the pass for it to be a completion.

What makes most QBs great is a great team to lead. QBs cant do it by themselves. The problem is when a young QB gets beat up really bad in their first few years they start to hear footsteps. I see this happening to Flacco. The Steelers took good care of Ruthlesbooger in his first couple yrs. Flacco needs more quick release plays and a better line.
And Ive read a lot of articles about the Ravens and Flacco and Cam and i have never read anywhere that said Joe cant call audibles or change the play. Ive seen him call audibles and change formations so i dont know where a lot of your guys get that. Please refer me to the articles if you can.
Hes progressing at a fast rate. But i gotta say im am a little worried about his lack of fire and leadership......GO RAVENS

I like flacco, but he is away from NFL matchup. I don't know how many more year need to be develope him. Everyone getting angree on cam camron, it's fine. But we don't know is he involved that much. If joe can see boldin wide open, whey he can not through ball to him.
I believe cam camron know that joe flacco is away from NFL performance. That's why Steve Biscotti did not fired him because he know the fact.
Cam camron did not make slow fox to Joe flacco. Neighter he made him slow decision maker. joe can not scan the feild due to pressure. And he is not tough guy who can iron the steeler.
We also need good tricky, fast, tall receivers. We have great receivers in books right now. Some time big stars does not fit. They can make more mess. For example:The Bangles team was good without stars receivers. We do not need big, vatern lot. Put some young energy in the feild.
I am not any more john Harbaugh's fan. He can fix discipline problem, but not in feild problem.
We made ur kicking team one of the best in NFL because of last minute competetion. Same put Joe flacco in competetion.

In response to above,

theres not really an article, its the players saying(they are beating around the bush though because im sure they will catch heat from the staff), they are asked about it in interviews on the radio and so on, ive heard it being said by Willis,(Stallworth backed him up) on 105.7, and housh i think said it. Joe wont say it, i dont know why though, hes the one suffering.

And that's all I'm saying, Joe need to make teams pay. Fire and leadership is a must in a game with grown a** men. Yeah an offensive line would help huge but more importantly he must be confident and make those tight throws that he may think he can't. He is scared of INT and it's holding him back. Like being in a car crash now you nervous whenever a car get close to you.

Fellow Ravens Fans please Stop Bashing Our Franchise QB-----
The problem is Cam does not put players in good positions to make plays.. Case in point with Flacco, its obvious Flacco is More comfortable From the Gun and has succes when hes in the Gun, we also Run very good out of the Gun , See Ray Rice's TD running threw Polamalu Saturday.. But then we go away from it.. We run the same Out Routes and Hitch routes with Boldin Housh And Mase all the time.. the Few times we ran Crossing Routes deep seam routes and that 5 route we ran With Stallworth against Pitt here at home that ended up being are longest play of the year all worked.. But we go Away from it.. Cam does not take input from any of his players or assistance its well documented that this is the case.. Its very disapointing that were all not getting rdy for the AFCCG here in B-more, and it is all because we were Out Coached AGAIN.....

Joe Flacco is the best quarterback this franchise has ever had. If you don't agree with that, you're either not watching or you have some special connection to Marc Bulger. He's coming off his most statistically successful and the teams' most successful year in his time here and you liken him to Kyle Boller? :34853_shakehead:

I'm sorry, you're spreading this message all around the boards but I can't help but question what you're really thinking. And since you're selling your tickets, hit me up, Flacco will be back.
Haha..i was thinking the same thing. Flacco is staying whether you like it or not, so if you want to sell those tickets, send them my way!

What would really be fair to us fans blogging right now, is bring back Bulger and have only him and Flacco on the roster. Both get 2 games a piece with the starters in preseason and see who use our offense the best.

I am so surprised that Cam is still even part of the ravens. Rest assure that the ravens will lose a lot of loyal fans if he does not get fired, I would not blame the fans for asking the head coach to leave to he allowed Cam to keep calling those dumb plays up the middle with Ray rice while we only lost yards and gave the ball back over to pitts with in less then 3mins. The baltimore ravens have no creativity with there plays. I think that even if Cam had taken some plays from the Madden 2010 games he would have looked better than what he was calling. We cant be afraid to throw the ball on first downs, we cant worry about will it be intercepted or not. Play the game with no fear if you have no guts no glory right? Week after week the ravens came out and the same old stuff run rice and got us no where. Pure stupidity lost us that game against the Steelers,we were up 21-7 we needed to keep pounding them, we needed to use all of our wide receivers and drive the opponent crazy, we needed to have play routes that the wide receivers could run that was full of twist and turns that no one would be able to tell what was going on. I think that everyone who watched the ravens play could sit on their couch and call the plays ok here we go look its 2nd and 5 well 99% they will run rice up the middle, 3rd down throw and 1st down always rush up the middle. Its ridicoulous. Fire John and bring in the former Pittsburgh Head coach Bill or tony dungy even billick is better than John at this point.

Alright guys its time to trade for Dez Bryant. No really, espn rumored today that he was on the trading block and the cowboys were listening for offers. Time to trade a 4th rounder for Dez who we would have gotten if we hadnt traded our pick and the Cowboys hadnt traded up a spot infront of us to get him. This probably will never get done lol but it would be nice. I doubt they would trade him anyway, hes a hometown boy.

When John Harbough told that fan on the radio if he did not like it to cheer for another team, I bet he did not think he would not have to say that twice or to many other fans because after that pittsburgh loss I a certain that the ravens lost a lot of fans and will lose a lot more as long as John harbaugh and cam is on the ravens payroll. Owner steve needs to shake things up and change this now before the Ravens fans start to look look tyhe orioles fans less my the day.

The fact of the matter is this, flacco is only gonna be as good as the people around him, he is not payton and he is not brady. We have to put the right recievers around him and give him the field position to make it happen. I dont see flacco being that consistant threat to drive the length of the field and scoring TD's. But I can see him on the 30-40, maybe other teams 30 and with faster wides, get it in for 6 every now and again. We need faster wides and we need a solid LT. Once we are in a position to do that, maybe, just maybe this whole blowing lead fad we have right now will go away.

we need a big jump ball kind of guy.. a guy that will keep the defenders at bay cuz he can go down the field and do that.. an Sidney Rice or V Jax comes to mind.. our tallest WR is 6'2 and about as fast at a three legged turtle.. opposing DBs know if they jam at the line of scrimmage our 6' and smaller recievers cant get past them and go up for a jump ball.. if we made Pitta drop about 20 lbs and gain some speed he would fit the bill.. we dont need a randy moss or andre/calvin johnson guy (it would be nice) but we do need a taller faster target than what we have... Quan will fit Mase's role perfect when Mase hangs up his cleats.. great route runner, fairly dependable across the middle.. Joe and Quan need more time to gel together to be more consistent than what they were this year.. but for sure we need a big target other than a TE for Joe to hit along the sidelines for jump ball situations

Hey Harbaugh, how do you become an analyst on the NFL network? "It just doesn't happen overnight. I think it's a process." Billick's process was named Bollar, yours is named Flacco.

I like Flacco. I think his growth comes from playing within his strengths and really honing his game by taking a look at his weaknesses. I'm sure a review of all games (even winning games) will show those things. All QBs have strengths/weakneesses. To be more effective, they play in an offense that suits their style. Flacco is a really good QB and is definitely on an upward growth path.

We need a play maker on defense named Nnamdi Asomugha! I have faith in Flacco, now get us an awesome defense.

Joe's future is bright. 2 areas for improvement:

1) Hit the weight room - particularly the squat rack. He needs to be more powerful and mobile. He has good size but is totally lanky and there is a need to Tim Tebowize a bit to get in the end zone on short yardage, for example.

2) Go through reads more effectively. Don't get locked in on one or two guys and then dump off to Rice, while perhaps the third or fourth guy is wide open. Try to see all your guys out there quicker. That can apply to any QB but Joe needs some help there.

Great start to a promising career and we should be thankful to have him.
