Your not going to run the ball against the #1 ranked run defense, short screens dump pass and catches by TJ and Boldin would have won the game...

These two off season signings choked...Cam did nothing wrong...

They didn't even try. I mean power I smash mouth in your face runs. Rice had 12 touches, many of them were on draw plays in long yardage situations.

Both Coordinators went away with what was working in the first half. That's what drives me bonkers the most.

The dropped balls and penalties aside. This offense scored 0 points in the second half. I don't want to blame any one person in particular, but no points in 30 minutes of football?

Cundiff hit a field goal. Still, three points is pathetic.

I've saved this for a moment like this

He's sucked consistently in large stretches of time this year particularly the second half.

I don't give a crap if the players lost the game today, and he wasn't responsible for the players mistake

I just don't want to see his stupid face anymore unless its for the other team.

EVEN TRENT DILFER said that the system sucks. http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2010/1...is-davis-show/
Starting at the 10 minute mark

He has the most predictable plays, and he just doesn't utilize his players as best as he could (Let Boldin, TJ, and Mason run 100000 streaks when they both don't have speed for that)

The constant checkdowns annoyed the crap out of him too.

And I don't think he's ever going to change. The Chargers fans have said the SAME EXACT THING that I've been saying. Cam has NEVER had playoff success excluding the Chiefs game. The offense always blew in the playoffs

http://forums.charge...ead.php?t=44462

Plus the players have NO RESPECT FOR HIM
With his tenure with the Chargers, LT and Hardwick complained that their system sucked

With the Ravens, Flacco always seems to not like Cam Cameron (body gestures and such). McClain complained about him. Mason complained. TJ complained (although that's a given). Suggs complained.

No good coach in the history of the league has respect issue with his players. Cam Cameron has always been disrespected by his players.

Like I've said before. If Cam Cameron isn't gone, then the Ravens will never amount to anything important

Posted this in another forum. Blocked out the profanities, and this just gives you concrete proof why Cam shouldn't be back

Cam isn't great and I've complained about him all year. He didn't call the best game in the world but, to me, when it mattered most the plays were there and the players didn't pull through. Choke city.
It's ALL or NOTHING! PERIOD!

Cam Cameron should be nothing more then a running back coach. PERIOD!

There is ABSOLUTELY no arguing the fact that Cameron needs to be let go. Oh wait, I've been saying that all year because he nearly destroyed Phillip Rivers' and Drew Breese' careers. Maybe I was the only one that watched Breese and Rivers when they were young, I don't know. But FLACCO is going through the SAME THING.

The Ravens are probably gonna have a choice in the next 18 months; either FIRE Cam Cameron, or watch Flacco leave. Flacco WILL NOT develop under Cameron and these game are just an embarrassment to all Ravens fans IMO.

The only defense of Cam seems to be, "He didn't blow THIS game"... but how many games did he ruin this season? One more win and WE would have been the team coming off of a week's rest and playing at home. Cam Cameron was AWFUL this season. When you have as many pro-bowlers on our offense as we had and you don't even finish in the top half of the NFL, when you spend 3 years developing a quarterback and he has yet to have even an AVERAGE game against your two biggest divisional rivals in over a dozen games... there are absolutely NO MORE excuses left. Harbaugh gave Cam a shot because Cam gave Harbaugh his breakthrough job as a coach, but Cam has proven that he lacks the ability to deliver success.

Side note: our biggest mistake was letting Hue Jackson go. Just like when we let Marvin Lewis go instead of giving him the HC job, we should have let Cam go and promoted Hue Jackson to OC. Considering how much success he had with an average Raiders offense, can you imagine what he could have done with our roster?

Even my dad who doesn't watch much football and is a Bears fan was like "what happened with the offensive play calling in the second half? I was like yeah, that's Cam Cameron.

He became predictable, ran predictable sets. Wanted to force run the ball. Especially on 2nd and long, ensuring us guaranteed 3rd and longs.

I really can't feel comfortable if we bring him back. There are some pretty good OC's out there that couldn't cut it as head coaches.

THE O-Line needs to be addressed. We need one speedy wide receiver......we need Joe to seriously step up......and we need an OC( Josh Mcdaniels)
Harbaugh doesn't have the guts to fire Cameron. He's happy and "proud" of the way things are. I just hope Steve B. is mad enough to be trying to get McDaniels on the Phone, NOW!!! Josh is gonna go this coming week, i think we might be to late. If John is not seen as weak after this, i question the toughness of the fans.

Congrats on your win. I'd wish you luck next week but it would be a lie. Certain members of your team exposed themselves as the cheap shot artists they are tonight. I probably just won't watch at all and become an NFC fan for the SB since I can't stand either the Pats or Jets.

Be sure to thank Triplett and the crew for their turning the other way as well.

Man ravensdfan. When we lost the ability to challenge a call early on AND got down 14 pts at the half after the Raven's scored 21 "unanswered" points, I thought FOR SURE, FOR CERTAIN you guys had pulled it off. To be serious, I just don't know how you guys lost this one... seriously.

We need an OC who isn't afraid to let Flacco loose. He's young and he's been hamstrung all season.

Yeah..Cam needs to go. I got sick of defending him a few weeks ago.

Josh McDaniels, enough said.

It might be to late. Maybe if we had lost to KC we would have a better chance. He's got a couple of teams after him,,,,hopefully we're in the mix now.

Cam needs to go. Is Joe Flacco the only QB in the NFL that does not have the mini play calling sheet on his arm? How can he run an offence without some freedom to read a defense?! Sorry Cam, your time in Baltimore is over. Flacco is becoming an elite quarter back and its time to find a coach who can let him play as one.

I have heard the rumblings about Cameron all year, and quite frankly I don;t know if he really is as bad as everyone says. One thing I do know though, is that he will be back next year, because no matter what anyone else thinks Harbaugh loves him. On this particular day, the fault lies with the players and not the OC. This is a tougher loss for Raven fans than any other teams playoff losses for one reason. No team in the playoffs continues to lose to the Steelers every year. Until the Ravens can beat the Steelers, they will continue to be just a good team, but not a great team. If anyone would like to point fingers in this game, there are more than enough candidates, but you can not say that they didn't give it their best effort. I am proud to call myself a Raven fan, I am just waiting for the day when they can out coach, and out play the Steelers. We lost to a better team today, and that is all anyone can say.

No, you don't know that and your reasoning is laughable. The front office will fairly evaluate like they always do and he could certainly be let go.

Matt Vensel's "7 Points" article he does for the Sun pretty much nailed the Cam Cameron situation:

"2. Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron could and should be out of a job for another second-half no-show. It’s not Cameron’s fault that Ray Rice and Joe Flacco coughed up fumbles, and that Flacco got picked off by Steelers safety Ryan Clark. But his playmaker-packed offense somehow managed to pick up minus-four yards in the third quarter, and when the reeling Ravens tried to play catch-up in the fourth quarter, it was the same unimaginative, ineffective offense that we saw all too often in the season’s second half. Like when the Ravens got inside the Steelers’ 10-yard line in the fourth quarter and Cameron called those two oh-so predictable running plays right into the teeth of the Steelers defense. Or when the Ravens scrambled to tie the game in the two-minute drill, and the play-call was a please-throw-a-flag fade to 5’10” wideout Derrick Mason. Someone has to take the fall for this loss, and Cameron is the most likely candidate. He did fine work in his first two years in Baltimore, but his magic appears to be all used up."

whole thing is a good read.

Flacco made the right read on that play when he hucked the deep ball to Mason, there was no safety help and if the throw was better he could of made a play, unfortunately it was a terrible pass, they literally stopped to make a play on the ball...

In a way I'm very happy we lost...I know it sounds horrible but at least now Ozzie knows he needs to make coaching change. We had this game in our hands and as always we let it go...wth guys you gotta want it, they lost hunger in the 2nd half...I hope we get the Raiders cornerback next year...

The 3rd quarter was the turning point for this game and the only stat I needed to see: the number of Ravens turn-overs was higher than the number of yards that the offense gained in the 3rd quarter. Somebody needs to take responsibility for that and to me, it's the guy wearing glasses standing on the sideline.

That link was fantastic, thank you so much :plus-un2: . Everybody should listen to that link.

The most interesting part was when he was talking about "key reading" offense and a "progression" based offense. It makes...so...much...sense. When I think about some of the most successful offenses in the league, Green Bay, Patriots, Colts, Philadelphia, I thought that it was just the plentiful options they had at receiver that made them dynamic. But to think that there is another system, other than the progression offense that these teams run, is mind boggling to me. Why allow the risk of defenses manipulating your decision making? At least, that's the way I see it.

The next question is, what coordinator out there runs a progression based offense?

Lots of dropped balls by the WRs but Cam was still the same old Cam. Conservative city in the 2nd half. It is time he and the Ravens parted ways.

And Mattison can go right behind him. We're getting to Ben easily and on every single 3rd and long Mattison rushed 3 allowing them to convert. IMO this loss is more on him than Cam.

I'm curious as to why we didn't run crossing routes like we did last week. Pittsburgh generally blitzed at least 1 on every play, so why not put it over the middle. We threw it at least once to Heap, and we gained about 20 yards, but that's all I saw of it.
Our WRs eat up crossing routes yet we wont ever run them except in the KC game...
