How Much Is Ngata Going To Cash In

51 posts in this topic

So how much does everyone think Ngata is going to cash in with this contract. I seem him signing something like a 6 year/75million deal.

I feel like Haloti is an incredibly humble human being. Im just hoping he gets his cash, but doesnt ask for a Haynesworth deal or something, because he knows the Ravens stand a better chance of winning with the extra cash to acquire more players.

I was think along the same lines, 5 or 6 year deal, with a price range of 60-70 million.

I have to agree, Ngata is very humble i can tell from everyone saying how awesome he is and he just says thank you quietly and keeps playing. Ngata may ask for a good amount for the family and charity but nothing too ridiculous. 5 year/ $20-30 mil

Unfortunately it's too true, you see it in all sports. Hopefully Haloti isn't one of 'those' kind of athletes who chase the cash. As long as it goes smoother than Suggs contract I'd be happy.

About double that, Ngata will be bringing in around 30M guranteed, let alone max value of his contract.

we already have a high of 7/90 mill and a low of 5/30 haha. I like it.

Of course Ngata will command a huge deal but he's worth every penny. That said, I don't think that he will be pulling a Haynesworth (holding out, complaining, faking injury) just to get more cash. Ngata will be one of the highest paid defensive players in the league. But I'm sure he realizes that it's in his own best interest not to get greedy and break the bank. We've got some other young players who will need big contracts (Oher, Flacco, Rice). Ngata wants to win and I'm sure that Ngata and the Ravens will reach a deal that keeps both of them happy and winning football games.

I'd say around a 6 year - 70 million type of deal.

Whatever he winds up getting, he deserves every penny, have watched him from his playing days at Oregon, he is a breath of fresh air compared to the prima donnas in this league.

lol you just had to squander my world of unicorns, and rainbows didn't you? well what i was saying is

a) is Haloti going to make a ton of cash? yes, probably like 50-70 mill
B) is he going to be greedy and hold out if he doesn't get like 100+ mill? I don't think so as he is too humble

I asked my 13 year old yesterday to take a guess at what Ngata was making right now, knowing he'd be surprised.....He said, "100 million dollars??" I said, "who do you think he is?? Dr. Evil lol?!" We both laughed and he was shocked. Ngata needs to be paid and I've been wondering about this one all year knowing it was coming up. My guess would be 6 years,50 million on the low end, but closer to 60 and he deserves it all.

5 years with team option for year 6

64 million with around 38 million guaranteed.

Of course the contract Suh got last year could have a huge impact on Ngata.

Suh - 5 years 68 million with 40 million guaranteed.

Whoa!

5 years/ $65M...$30M guaranteed.
I saw 5 years b/c of his age. He'll be 32 and I'm sure the front office will want reevaluate his performance not too long after he turns 30.
