David Reed has more issues dropping the ball than Housh.
You can't even compare the two.
Housh dropped a couple passes, everyone does.
Reed has barely seen the field and we have little idea what he can actually do.
But I don't remember Reed being that drop-happy in pre-season.

From what I recall it was a concern many had of him coming out of college, and he did have some silly drops in prseason, I remember a few, and it was talked about quite a bit.
But, maybe he was still wrapping his head around playing in the NFL.

Nnamdi Asomugha is at the top of my wishlist hands down. Ngata isn't because I know he wants to be a Raven.

I think it was more him playing his first games. The guy always looked confident returning kicks. I think had the team actually given him a screen pass or crossing route.

The re-signing of Ngata will likely affect if the team even pursues Nnamdi though,

Wideout that can catch the ball on 3rd down (housh isnt the answer), able to block and able to go catch it in the middle of the field.

Like most of boldin skills (when used properly!!)

Thats the definition of wr in a raven uniform
I really despise all this Housh hate. Yeah he dropped a crucial pass. Yeah he dropped a few here and there throughout the season. Every WR does. Your man Boldin (who I also like btw) dropped a sure TD in the same game. Our entire team made mistakes. It happens. It was weird and unfortunate that the entire team made them all together but...it happens.

I'd like Housh to come back next season for the right price and provided they are going to make sure people get used properly.

First round would be a waste and its not happening.....

AND

What does "WR THAT FITS ravens football" mean?
By Definition: "A Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver generally struggles to gain separation, has a lack of speed, a penchant for dropping key passes and generally underperforms."

With the exception of D-Mase.

Those have to change. Matter of fact, everything you named needs to change. I hope it does next season. I'm excited to see what they do.

The second half of the aforementioned game.

But seriously, I doubt either of us will ever crush the other. Ravens-Steelers always comes down to the wire, with the winner making one big play more than the other, or the team that makes the fewest mistakes.

A divisional sweep and a wild card bye would be very sweet as well.
It usually comes down to who has the ball last. But, just because our second half this year was bad, doesn't mean next year it will be bad. All I can do now is hope for Cam to leave, new, young players in the 2011 Draft, and a Wild Card Bye in 2011.

I have been a ravens fan for about 12 years now and after some careful consideration my biggest wish would be to have the defense get back to its 2k form. I dont think i would even mind being 1 and done in the playoffs as long as the D left every oponent beaten and bloody in the middle of the field!

That defense was arguably the best of all-time. They only come around once in a blue moon. And with the NFL moving more to an offensive game. I doubt you'll find anything that closely resembles that.

To sweep the Steelers and beat them in the playoffs.
If we sweep the steelers i doubt they will even make it to the playoffs.

My wish list has already been soiled upon, so with the coaches we have NOTHING will change, at least 8 wins.

To alot of wishers out there, why would a WR want to play for the Ravens, other than money? I bet A. Boldin regrets coming here now. All we need is COACHING.

Sign Asomugha for the right price
Have Foxworth come back completely healthy and ready to make an impact
Lock up Ngata forever
Lock up Wilson
Get 2 more good years out of Ray and Ed
See Flacco enter the elite discussion around the league
Have Gaither return and solidify the OL
See the Bengals implode once again(Palmer trade, Ochocinco/TO let go, etc)
Sweep the Steelers of course

and last but not least...

I wish for no lockout next year!!!!

What a post.....so much wrong here!!

Nothing changes and we make playoffs again, not 8 wins
Pretty sure Boldin would rather be here, in Baltimore, where he'll have a shot every year as opposed to the debacle that is Arizona!

Yeah,, I already know a playoff appearance is good enough for you.

It's just a guessing game if Boldin would rather be here. I guarantee he's not happy about how he was used here. I guarantee he's asking, why did the Ravens bring me here?

He never said a play-off appearances is "good enough". Just because people aren't jumping off buildings after last Saturday's loss doesn't mean they're content with the season.

Boldin likely wasn't happy at times but why not have optimism Joe being better and the o-line getting improved will help Q catch more balls next season? The offense's "overhaul" could also help.

And while I'm sure he asked that question numerous times to himself, he should know the answer as well. They brought him in to make this catch.

Okay lets put it this way,, if the Ravens O line keeps on falling backwards and Ray Rice keeps on running into thier falling backs,,on third and long,, we will be lucky to win 8 games.

1. Resign Ngata
2. Fire Cam
3. Resign Landry
4. Get youth and speed
5. Bulk up the o-line
6. Fire Cam
7. Replace Cam
8. Resign Cundiff
9. Resign Koch
10. Resign Gaither

And what exactly does that have to do with "coaching"? That seems to be the thing you take issue with.

In fact, we fired our OL coach, that's some definite change in the running game. With the possibility of Jared Gaither coming back healthy, moving Oher back to RT, Yanda to RG, Ramon Harewood waiting in the wings, and FA and the draft looming, how are you sure nothing will change?

It's only been a week...

I wanted Matsko fired and i got it,, not good enough though.
Yeah,, coaching is my thing,, cause we have the players. My once rough tough Ravens lost thier swagger and it shows. Hate giving all that money to "TUMS".

Firing Matsko not good enough? What exactly do you want to happen to happen in a week?

The Ravens have good players but coaching isn't the sole reason they aren't playing in a couple hours.

What else did you want in one weeks time? And the Ravens are one of the toughest, most physical teams in the NFL; you saying that they're not doesn't change it.

I disagree man thats it. In my opinion it has been coaching all year. I know your focus is on last week. If our WRrs were thrown to more often during the season, and i know Joe can't throw very well from his back, then maybe they don't seem rusty in a big game.

You can disagree but to me, saying it was all on the coaching is pretending the players are perfect and could consistently overcome their own shortcomings, isn't being honest.

The WRs weren't thrown to enough but like I've challenged so many to do before, how many third QBs in league history command high-flying, pass-happy offenses?

The o-line wasn't great in pass protection obviously but Joe also took sacks at times because he was slow in his drop and scanning the field.

Like Mike Preston said at one point and repeated, the Ravens won games in spite of themselves. Whatever failures they had were the product of coaching and the players as a unit.

I wanted to do what John is saying he wants to do now but feel he's unqualified to do. Rebuild the offense from the ground up. In my opinion ALL the Ravens players are coachable, so i wanted all the offense coaches fired immediatly. In MY OPINION, not so much to ask for. Problem i think is is John would be lost without Cam, and that is scary.
