Well if Cam has a similar year like he just had, he will be gone. I whole heartily agree with your 2nd wish of locking up Ngata, he is a key part of the defensive line, can get to the QB, stuff run plays etc. He needs to be a Raven for life.

I was listening to The Fan and team insider Aaron Wilson suggested because there isn't someone the Ravens feel can step in and clearly do better than Cam, they're going to roll with him.

With that said, my wishlist is(I didn't include moves I think will happen):

1) Acquire a LT somehow

2) Acquire a pass rusher

3) Draft a young, impact WR

4) Draft a big, physical CB

5) Draft a long-term center

6) Draft a quality ILB

1.) I hope and wish the Ravens organization will be blessed with a Quarterback that has heart. Just because Flacco is better than all the other qb's (except Air McNair) that sucked doesnt mean he doesnt suck. Flacco is accurate when he isnt under pressure. When faced with the slightest pressure he is indecisive and holds on the ball too long forcing holding penalties, sacks, fumbles, loss yards, etc. If the target receiver isnt open, Flacco has problems making quick decisions. Give a little credit to our offensive line, look at the footage, Flacco doesnt have field vision. Never checks around him, stay focused on 1 receiver, then overthrows or underthrows on many occasions. He's not a good scramble qb, he doesnt have the instint needed to be an elite QB. Any QB given the time he had this year could have put up those numbers.

2.) Cam Cameron needs to check between his legs and find his nuts. Too many times we played reserved and lost the lead 9 times this year. There's no way you can play conservative football and expect to beat a team like the Steelers, Patriots, Colts... Any chance one of those other teams get they would run the ball down the Ravens throat but our defense got too much pride to let that happen. Whoever's going to be the offensive coordinator needs to play with more agression, heart and faith in our all-star line up of players that we can execute. I think bad play-calling deflates the will of the players at times. GRAB YOUR NUTS RAVENS and finish games the way we started. Stop playing like a dog who found a bone and then have to fin off other dogs for it. We gettin punked for the bone,,, wheres the growl, the fierce look, the eye of the tiger? STEP IT UP!

I'm sure he is. The organization doesn't appear to feel he's good enough to replace Cam though(according to Aaron Wilson).

Not counting the re-singings.

1. Fire Cam
2. Get a tackle (preferably LT)
3. An ILB
4. Pass-rushing OLB
5. Get a center

(didn't put in WR, because if Cam comes back, I can honestly care less about getting a WR)

Players play, coaches coach. We are very lucky to have Cam. The guys folded when Pittsburgh brought it. Cam didnt throw an INT, didnt fumble a snap, didnt drop a pass. Its a learning experience & part of a process. This team / org is only going to get better & stronger with this group. We will be back...

My wish list....

1 - Mike Pouncey - C - Florida, Stefen Wisniewski - C - Penn State or Nate Solder - T Colorado in Rnd 1
2 - Speed at WR. We need someone who can get off the line & stretch the field.
3 - A better pass rush. The book is out on Suggs, he's going to be double & triple teamed next year. He needs help

1. Resign Ngata to 6 year/$75million deal (this is my guess for his contract. I feel it will be around there and will get more money than Suggs)
2. Do whatever you can to try and bring Nnamdi in. 3 year/$40 million whatever. He was only tested 27 times last year with no touchdowns and only 10 receptions against him. Having a CB like that would give Reed so much less area to worry about and would therefore make him that much more dangerous.
3. Get the big man back, give him a 1 year deal and hopefully he plays like he has in the past and stays healthy.
4. I wont really be shocked if they walk but I'd like to see Landry, Yanda, Housh and Jameel brought back. I feel we have more important things to worry about than ILB's right now so bringing back Jameel would be huge so you can focus on other things in the draft
5. With those guys resigned I'm focusing on the trenches in the draft. I'd like to see them take that Center Wiznewski(sp I know) in the first and hope that Bailey falls to the second to have an opportunity to draft him. So I would focus on Center, Dline mainly and hope you find a stud WR in the later rounds.

It's going to be tough to hit some nice draft prospects, let alone 4. I noticed you have 4 on your list ER but in reality we'll be lucky to fill 2 of those holes through the draft.

Where would Kiwanuka fit on this defense? He could play the edge on the nickel but he wouldn't replace Ngata or Redding at DE in the 3 technique and he certainly isn't a NT.

I'm glad that Cam is coming back, one of the reasons I wanted him to stay was because I didn't feel there was anyone out there who could improve the offense, like I said in previous posts fixing the inconsistent Oline will improve the offense.

I actually had six needs. "Acquire" could mean through the draft or FA.

May I ask why you feel that way?

Yea the reason I feel that way is while Ozzie does draft some great players that sometimes stay for a long time but in recent drafts I feel we've only hit on a couple in each of the past few drafts. That's the reason I'd be surprised to see if the Ravens came away with more than two good players that could contribute a lot.

Oher and Webb are kind of the only two big contributors in the past 2 years.

Fair enough. Think about this tough. Look at the '07 draft where the team took Grubbs, Figurs, Yanda, Barnes, Le'Ron, Troy and Burgess. After that season, it didn't look like a great draft, especially with how terrible the Ravens were that season. Four season later, it's not a slam dunk draft but there are three starters and Burgess is arguably the best special teams gunner.

Unless Kruger becomes an All-Pro next season, the '09 draft can never be great, only solid. I have faith Oher and Webb will be fine players in the future but Davon Drew likely won't be helping this team any time soon, Phillips seems to be a special teamer at best and Peerman is a Bengal.

This year's draft wasn't really set up to contribute right away except for Kindle -- the guy was too talented and surrounded by too many good players not to. Cody was drafted to replace Buddy Lee either next season. Dickson and Pitta were brought in to initially add depth but didn't have to much with Heap having a big season. Reed wsn't going to get snaps with all WRs(even though I still feel he should have caught more than zero passes on the season) but he took advantage of when he saw the field by being a good gunner and then excelling in kick-off returns. Jones had little shot to crack the d-line with the depth and Harewood got hurt.

I understand if the past two drafts might have you a bit leery but I believe Ozzie will draft multiple impact rookies next season.

True, so either way we are going to have to wait it out and see how it all works out. Heck the 2010 draft could really turn into an incredible draft if Kindle made a sick comeback and Dickson and Pitta turn into complete TE's.

We will see, at least we can all hope for Sergios health and hitting on draft day.

Agreed. On top of those three, I'm really hoping Cody, Jones and Harewood pan out as well. This season has shown me just how important trench play is.

I definitely see Cody panning out as a longtime Raven beside Ngata, if you are truly dominant in one aspect of your game you can last in the NFL.

Talent runs deep in Jones' family so I'd love to see him become a great player, he needs to stay healthy and get some playing time. I really don't know how we got him it he 5th round when he was rated a top 5 DT the year before.

What are you talking about. Have you ever played football? A quarterback needs more than 2 seconds to drop back, make a read, and throw a pass. Our o-line was full of holes the entire year, even that hater Mike Preston admitted it.

True.

I think it was the injuries that caused him to get lost in the shuffle. I hope he gets more P.T. next season.

Aside from the obvious... re-signing Ngata:

New offensive coordinator
A healthy Kindle and Gaither
Faster, younger WRs
Shutdown corner
A true #1 WR (e.g., Vincent Jackson)

Plain and simple, The Coaching staff needs to let Joe be Joe. Find a system he is comfortable in, seems like a no huddle shotgun based, and design plays around that.
Notice, Manning, Brady, Brees, and Ben are all Very Different QB's. Their OC's are there helping and supporting them to design plays around their strengths, not force them into being a QB to their system. Joe will never grow until he has input into the system philosophy and play calling. I'm not saying he should call all his own plays, but should be allowed to have weighted opinions in the direction of the offense, and have 3 play options based on the personnel in the huddle depending on what the defense is showing him.
Time to grow this off season, he is after all, our Franchise QB?

I can't address the draft since I don't follow college football but I'd like to see us bring in and grow some talent, especially at WR, CB, RB, LB and C.

I hope and fully expect Reed and Lewis to return.

Of course sign Ngata/Koch/Cundiff/Wilson/Yanda/Bulger/Carr/Housh.

If we can find a better OC, fire Cam.

Find a solid identity to legitimately beat the Steelers, as well as other teams such as the Pats, Bengals and Colts.

Average about 34 points a game while giving up roughly 16 or less points a game.

Win/sweep our Division and the SB.

Flacco beats out Bulger in preseason and becomes elite.

Figure out the CBA, play a full season of 16 games.

Use Boldin more, and he has an amazing season.

I win the MD lottery seats for life. (and they better be good lower level seats)

Sign some FA's that are immediate upgrades. (Nnamdi)

Kindle is able to play and is instantly a beast.

Ed Dickson has a break out year.

A solid reliable return game.

Solidify left and right tackles. (No Gaither)

Ed Reed gets a couple punt blocks like the old days, and we lead the NFL in creating turnovers.

Hey, it's just a wishlist
