Ok... anyone know if Chuck intends on being a Head Coach because if he doesn't than lock him in for more than 3 years please, I would like some continuity on the defense other than Ray Lewis. Let's make sure Chuck never leaves and is our "Franchise" Defensive Coordinator.

Dont count on it...we have a habit of getting bamboozled on for our defensive coaches.

I'm pretty sure if the opportunity presented itself for Pagano to be an NFL head coach, he'd take it. Continuity is great but really, as long as the Ravens continue to draft well on the defensive side, they'll be fine.

So Chuck Pagano coached Asomugha when he was with the Raiders, right ? and the DB's seem to like playing for him , right ? Namdi is a free agent, am I right once again ? just connect the dots :)))

Congrats to Chuck, and Matty. I liked the improvement towards the end of the year on D.The secondary was vastly improved after the loss of Foxworth. I know you guys worked hard, and in the end, the RUSH 3 bit us in the butt.

Why don't you? Your name has 8 of them.

(BTW go Pagano. Can't wait to hear him in a press conference as to what style of defense he'd like to run.)

Lol your doing exactly what I'm doing with Ron Rivera. I live in NC and since Carolina needs a WR I would make the connection that they will trade for Vincent Jackson, but yeah it's interesting to know that about Chuck and Aso.

Yes defensive collapses when theyre on the field for 70 plays a game, your train of thought with the defense is so pre-school
so the three man rush on third and 19 was a result of the defense being on the feild for 70 percent of the plays right...lol oh and by the way i gave you the positive point as i fear you wont get another......lmao

So did three man rush prevent Webb or Landry from NOT LETTING ANYONE GET BEHIND THEM LIKE YOU'RE TAUGHT FROM HIGH SCHOOL?!

It's ridiculous how some people will stick to the train of thought that a particular play is bad because bad things have happened when it was called. If the players don't execute on any play, of course things will go wrong.

Does anyone remember one of Suggs' three sacks came on a three man rush? Good things can happen.

Putting as many people in coverage with that far to go was the right call. When a team runs all streaks, it's even easier because all you have to make sure they don't outrun you. The players did and we saw what happened.

I just thought it was a little funny that Mattison decides to leave right after Harbs announces that Cam will be staying.

Best wishes for Matty and Chuck!

I really liked what Greg Mattison has done here and he'll be missed. I wish him well at his new job at the University of Michigan.

Congrats to Chuck Pagano on his promotion! I wish him well.

When did you start watching football? A three man rush with safeties deep might have been a good call. But wideouts behind safeties spells disaster. None of this would have been talked about if you brought any kinda pressure from the D. Oh and for the record 3rd and 19 on a potentially winning drive. Your whole team in coverage and they get burned is inexcusable, but so was the playcall.

Watch how much easier coverage is with proper pressure. You and ed reed 20 must be friends all yall do is positive rep each other and comment on everyone's post that the other has commented on. Must be nice to have a fan base. lol

Not that this is necessarily the place, but what about an obvious hail mary situation at the end of the game. Blitz? Or drop back and defend the space that they need to get to? I don't disagree with the 3-man rush, I disapprove of the execution. I would've been ok with an overload blitz with coverage behind it too though.

Haha, yeah guess he could not sit through another year of being lulled to sleep by Cam's offense :)

Despite Harbi's ill-fated final decision, we fans should continue to search for ways to voice our dis-satisfaction and affect change. Creating a sardonic Cam-Harbinger of dismal news billboard was not a poor idea.

Man, cnnot believe this, suppose wanted rather to remain ignorant.

Harbi is deaf, someone predicted more teamates walking, McClain, ... it's the same or worse when a coach sends the message. Hello, Hello, Harb

How the hell do you know that for a fact?! Wait, have you NEVER seen a Ravens blitz get picked up or Roethlisberger evade the rush when there was seemingly no way he could and completed a pass?

The play-call was not inxecusable. If Webb flips his hips and starts running or Landry is actually looking at the WR, it wouldn't have been an issue.

:34853_shakehead: You're so wrong. The correct playcall is to drop into coverage on third and 19, you don't send a blitz. Blame it on Lardarius Webb and Dawan Landry for letting Brown behind them, not Mattison for calling the proper play.

Real funny. Between this, your Jacoby Ford comment, thinking the Ravens should trade random players for "young speed", you've got some "interesting" opinions dude.

That was not the right play that was the predictable one. I saw it a few times this season and i know the Steelers did too. With that said ill bet that Ben told his receiver to fly down the field and ill have time to throw it over the top. They aren't bringing anybody just block Suggs and Ngata. Ill get you the ball.

I dont have the ability to "positive rep" anyone since I use the mobile skin, so, once again you're talking out your <butt>!

Of course coverage is easier with pressure. How long to Ben hold onto the ball on the 3rd and 19 play? About 2 seconds.....it was a DB issue, not pressure issue on this one particular play we're discussing.

"Predictable" doesn't mean wrong. Just because teams know a team is going to a prevent doesn't mean there's some magical way to attack it. The Ravens players flubbed up dude.

I hate do this but when I play Madden, I take a safety and put him at least 50 yards off the ball when I call a prevent defense just so no one gets behind the D. Even if the offense is at their 20, I do it.

Obviously real players aren't going to do that but it's the same principal. The position is called safety for a reason.

What's the difference between a "predictable" play and a fundamental play? Execution. A prevent defense is designed to stop just that throw. Webb and Landry did not do their jobs correctly, it has nothing to do with Mattison's call.

Anyways, lets get back on topic.

Does he run an aggressive on conservative D?
3-4 or 4-3?
Does anyone know his philosophy?
