If all you want is speed, get Yamon Figurs back. If you want speed and someone who can catch, go through the draft.
Man there are undrafted guys with wheels and they can catch you just have to be patient. But to waste a pick on a receiver when you have Boldin housh and any other receiver on the roster is suicide. The trenches are way more important, that is where the game is won and lost.

The Ravens have been patient. They've waited for players like Demetrius and Figurs in the past and are doing so right now with Harper to an extent.

You're NOT wasting a pick on a WR because we've clearly seen Q and Houshamndzadeh alone isn't good enough to beat the good defense.

I do agree trenches are more important but if a big-time WR talent is there and he's better than anyone in the trenches, you take the WR.

Oh i totally agree. im just saying don't waste a pick on a wideout when we have so many more important needs. The only thing that i would add is i don't know that our current crop of receivers aren't good enough because our coordinator was terrible.

Gee, that sounds a lot like you have no idea. Well, keep talking like you know, and someone is bound to believe you.

Drafting a WR still wouldn't be a waste man.

The Ravens could fix a few of their o-line issues just by re-signing Gaither.

Slim there is a processes that takes place before people get undrafted status. Mainly because to go undrafted first there must be a draft. I love the way people get smart on here. I understand this process because i went undrafted. But being that i played at this level, and actually went through the process, what do i know.

But that wouldn't fix the lack of pass rush that we have minus Suggs and Haloti. But i agree with you, if there is a stud when we pick at receiver and he is clearly the best player available then you take that guy.

Kindle still has a chance to be a big-time pass rusher. He's been cleared for non-contact activity so I'm somewhat confident he'll be cleared for contact drills.

You agree with my point though so there's no point in dragging things out.

http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2011/01/18/tj-houshmandzadeh-live-on-norris-davis-show/

Said he wants to come back. Also confirms Joe has no control in this offense
I am not sure that JF has what it takes to run a Pro Offense, but a receiver gets paid a lot of money to catch the football, that is his job, period. If a place kicker consistently misses, you get rid of him. If a receiver cant catch the ball, you get rid of him. As far as Flacco goes, I started worrying as soon as he said that playing the Steelers would be fun. Wars are not fun. They played like they were at war, we played like it was fun. Result, loss. No Fun

So apparently Joe is not allowed to audible and the play is run regardless if he thinks it will work or not..This speaks in volumes on why they need to change their scheme on offense.
it also speaks in volumes of why the Ravens and Cam Cameron need to part way cause this cat (Cam) is handicapping Joe's development by not allowing him to audible out of a run when he sees the defense is in a formation package to stop it or to check out of a pass play and into a run to exploit that passing defense.

just pitiful!

shame on you Cam Cameron!

T.J. just shared with us what we already knew.

Let Cam Go!

Man that Housh drop was heartbreaking, one thing we can all agree on though is he earned a lot of peoples respect. Bring him back Ozzie! Hopefully he commits cheap so we can focus on Ngata and Nnamdi with the $$$.

Agreed on everything except Asomugha. He'll cost too much and this team has too many needs.

Probably true, but i have a dream that he can come and settle for a relatively cheap price. I heard the dude still drives the car he had in college, so maybe money isnt everything to him

He's heavily involved in philanthropy and other business ventures. But what would stop him from going to a contender like Philly(who has cap room) for more cheese?

It'd be a lot easier to cut ties, business-wise and from a personal standpoint, with Houshmandzadeh than Cameron. If they nullify his contract, the Ravens may still have to pay him in 2011 (I may be wrong on that) in addition to installing a new scheme.
Unfortunately, if the Ravens keep Cam it may cost them more than loss ticket sales; how about another loss Superbowl opportunity? Offensive convidence? A new scheme is needed next season whether he goes of stays. There were too many disatisfied offensive players. Clearly something is wrong and needs to be changed. My gut feeling is if Cam stays, Mason retires.

its kinda funny it took some one this long to post it I heard it the day of the game about him being disgusted with his play and wanting to stay and make it up to the fans. Honestly I believe him , no struggle(dropped pass) no progress(renewed want to please fans and coaches)

The biggest dropped pass this year may have been the one the Bills receiver missed in overtime vs. Pittsburgh.

We never know how things would have finished, but that drop cost us 1st place, 1st round bye and homefield advantage. :34853_brickwall:
