If Cam's Staying, I'm Leaving

I moan and complain A LOT... but if I can suffer the Kyle Boller era and watch every game Im pretty sure I can weather the Cam Cameron era. Cam may be a good OC, but he is not suited for our team. IMHO he would be better off on a college program, would suit his skillset/game planning/play calling a WHOLE LOT better.
Now that is not fair. He can coach at this level for sure, but it seems when the Qbs are ready to take the next step they can't do that with Cam.

You'll be crying when it doesn't come together because of Cameran! If he stays, there will only be more disappointment for Ravens fans! Mark my words!

It hasn't came together, YET.... No tears from me. People in Pittsburgh have been asking for Bruce Arians head EVEN with Super Bowl wins. The customer ( Fans) aren't always right. The offensive line/Running game was the downfall all year, if people realize it or not....

Absolutely right. The casual fan doesn't realize we had one of the worst running games in the entire NFL this season. In short-yardage situations, converting wasn't a given, as in previous years. Fixing that aspect of the offense will do literal wonders for our team.

I do not like Cameron staying just as many posters here but I will be a Ravens fn regardless...i have not torched my jerseys or trashed my other items and the sun will shine and it will be 84 degrees here today and there will be another season(I hope).

Imagine how many extra posessions we missed out on from not converting 3rd and short... Peaople wonder why Cam didn't run on 3rd and 3...? We averaged under 4.0 per. thats why, where as we averaged 7+ in the pass game.

I really really hope Gaither can be retained and he SHOWS he's the left tackel we know he can be, with work ethic can health! Get Yanda back to Guard, Oher back at RT and KEEP CHESTER/MOLL/Cousins ( unless we make him a gaurd) off the field. We Really need to find a replacement for Birk, also. He's been banged up this year! I really wish Jason Brown wasn't offered such a huge contract from STL. He was athleticly gifted and YOUNG! The offensive line should be PARAMOUNT this year. Flacco was sacked 40times this year, up 4 from last year. Not to mention he prevented 3-4 sacks from breaking loose. Joe was sacked 9 TIMES in the playoffs this year. Not acceptable when your run game is soo watered down!

Not really. I see other teams around the league able to convert short-yardage runs without big backs. It comes down to the o-line getting a push.

Exactly. People complained about Cameron's play-calling in short yardage but it was basically his only option, sometimes. It only takes a couple instances of McGahee banging his head into the place where the hole should be to get the picture.

And I agree with everything you said. Losing Gaither was big. We knew it would be back in the offseason and you could see the tangible results. Hoping for a healthy, effective offensive line next year!

I think it comes down to more of the OL than our FB. There are plenty of serviceable fullbacks out there and, as much as I love LeRon, he's replaceable.

I remember when Oher got abused by Tyler Brayton(I had never heard of him) in the first pre-season game. I was discouraged but felt Oher would improve. Michael can run block with the best of the them but he rarely had success against good pass rusher.

He's fairly decent against James Harrison but Harrison got him pretty good last Saturday. John Abraham made some plays. I agree. He's much more suited for RT where he has to take on the lesser-skilled pass rushers. Sigh...

You can say I'm not a true fan all you want to, but the fact of the matter is that I bleed purple! But the longer we support Harbs decision to keep Cam the longer we're going to suffer! It's not fair to the team or the fans! So before you go telling anybody that the're not a true fan, examine yourself! If we don't demand change, then we're doomed to the same results next year; maybe if everyone would boycott, then Bisciotti would have no choice but to do something about it! Hit him in the wallet where it hurts!
You don't bleed purple. You haven't earned the right to say that nor earned the right to have purple blood. When you bleed purple, you bleed the same blood that Harbs, Ozzie, Ray lewis, every ravens, Raven fan and even Cam Cameron bleed!

I'll take a page out of your book...."the fact of the matter is" you DO NOT bleed purple!

Absolutely right. The bread and butter was not there for us this year. But, this is where a good OC or HC needs to make adjustments and stop trying to force the run in situations where is it not successful.

Question,

How come last year we absolutely demolished teams (Bears, Lions, Browns) and kept putting up points until the game was over, but this year we couldn't manage to do the same thing?

A decline in the o-line. Don't you remember Willis gashing the Bears, Lions and Browns in the second half of those games? Not only would those team mentally check out but the o-line would maul them into submission. That never happened this season.

Toodles :bitenails: Don't know what the team or fans will do without you. :th_shame:

So does this mean if the team does well in the future, with or without Cam, if they win the Superbowl, you won't be jumping onto the bandwagon?

Of course.. I mean seriously.. 12-4 with a playoff win; yeah you guys suck horribly and how DARE the Ravens even consider repeating anything close to that next year. I would commit pranks on neighbors if it meant an 8-8 record for Cleveland.
Browns Fan, you bring sanity to the board. I've been through a lot worse than losing in the playoffs and a 12-4 record with this team. Shoot, if I stop to think about it, as much as I want Cam to be gone, I've gone through worse than Cam with this team.

You guys are destined for good things. I truly believe that. I think your team turned a corner this season. You'll get your 8-8.
