You just have to admit that your beloved Ravens organization made a mistake, then it won't suck anymore.
Yup. They made a mistake by not having Revis.....

That hasn't been determined yet. What if the Jets fall short?

hopefully jets can knock out the steelers arrogance.
Steelers arrogance, you did see all the press conferences for the Jets before this game right????

Not sure how much more humble Tomlin can be. Also, I dont think Ben does anything but give your defense total respect saying he hates playing against you guys.

So I'm a little lost where the arrogance is. Santonio Holmes was very arrogant be he's a goner and I agree with that decision.

Never understood the hate for Rex by Ravens fans. He created a SB potential defense in '06 (2nd only to the 00' defense) and if it wasn't for the offense sucking they could have gone far. Same with '08 when the defense was carrying the team despite injuries.

He's been in 3 straight AFC Championship games. He is 5-3 against Brady, Manning, and Big Ben. Harbs is 1-11 against them. Insult Rex all you want, he gets it done when he has an offense that helps out his defense.

At this point it seems more like a mental thing with the Ravens can't beat the elite teams because of dumb mistakes, but Rex has gotten the Jets to do so. The mentality from the Jets and Ravens are so different, despite them being built so similarly.

I really believe the Ravens have to rework their philosophy as a team (especially on offense). They need that killer instinct to put away teams (something that has plagued us all season) in the second half of games. They need a vocal leader on offense, be it Flacco, Rice, or Boldin, that holds them accountable like Ray Lewis does for the defense. John Harbaugh is a great coach who has in stored discipline into this team, now he has to help them get that mental edge to win the big games.

Really a moot point but I'm glad Rex isn't our coach because I'm already sick of listening to the fat turd constantly running his mouth to the media and this is with him employed 3 hours north. One can only imagine if we heard it daily. Yeah I liked him as the D coordinator when he wasn't around a microphone.

He may have been referring to some of your fanbase. Many are beyond arrogant. Tomlin and Ben are pretty respectful of us. Ward is classless.

Exactly. The feeling that the Ravens would have been playing in an AFC Championship because of today's result is dumb because we don't know what would have happened had the Ravens won last night.
???
It would have been no different. Whatever happened yesterday wasnt going to change anything about today's game. You saying had the Ravens won, for some reason the world could have operated differently today?

I'm kind of getting this now.

Rex: We are the best team in the AFC.

Harbaugh: We are who we are.

Maybe it IS Harbaugh who needs to go.

How did they make a mistake? Enlighten me. Would Rex being here have brought Darrelle Revis here? Or Santonio Holmes? Or one of the best o-line's in football.

Rex didn't build crap. The key pieces were already in places.
I'm not gonna argue with you all night. So i'll just say this and you can have the final word. NO WAY Rex stands for Camerons crappy play calling and i'm not talking about Saturdays game. I'm talking about all season. I also know that if Rex had been able to stand Cam this long, Cam would be fired by now. John is soft.
Have at it.

Remember, regardless of who wins the SB, there will only be one winner when it's all said and done. Everyone else will have come up short. All that matters.

You mean, just like how the Jets will NOT beat New England.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Check your bias at the door. Anything is possible.
this game played into the Jets hand. Pats have good O and bad D. Jets are the opposite except their D was the best unit on the field and the team made less mistakes.

Against Pittsburgh you have two good defenses and one CLEARLY superior offense in Pittsburgh. I dont see the Jets winning next week.

You have to remember, the Steelers are a different team than Indy or the Pats. They're finesse teams and they create mismatches for the Steelers.

But the Jets don't match up as well against the Steelers. Yes they beat them in December, but they returned the opening kickoff (Which counts but can't be expected)and Troy wasn't playing that game. Even though Troy didn't have a great game yesterday he still makes the Steelers defense a whole different beast.

I think every Steeler fan is counting our lucky stars, keep NE away from us!

I know all Ravens fans want an NFC winner, but I wonder who your rooting for in the AFCCG. hmmm
then why do the ravens lose to the colts/pats finesse and steelers in the trenches

go jets! i hope they take down the trinity of AFC QB's. I think the steelers is one loss away from be buried for a while. Pats are done in my eyes. I think Ravens got AFC Next yr!

Really? The only thing that's ridiculous was your statement. If Boldin catches the pass last night and the Ravens win, Joe is going to the AFC Championship. Flacco >> Sanchez
here you go again with this b.s. up in here dude!

fact: Flacco is at the house on the couch
fact: Sanchez is playing in the AFC Championship game.

now to me....

what is ridiculous is your satement that "IF" Boldin catches the pass last night and the Ravens win, Joe is going to the AFC Championship. Flacco >> Sanchez.

Boldin didn't catch the pass and the Ravens didn't win! wake up! :th_snapoutofit:

They won't get whooped by Pit. They beat them this season. And the Jets have a less skilled team than ours and still made 2 Championship games in 2 years.
That is a false statement if ever I heard one, the Jets have a WAY WAY better Oline, WAY better WRs, a WAY better secondary, and about an equal Dline with each team having 1 impact player on the Dline. We have them beat at FS, LB, and QB.

Maybe we should hire Mangini as a draft consultant or a scout. Look at the dudes he's been apart of drafting.

Revis
Mangold
Ferguson
Harris
Mack
Thomas
Haden

They did just beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh, so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility... just extremely unlikely. The Jets looked pretty darn good though.

Rex didn't create the '06 defense. The majority of the pieces were already in place before he became the DC. Lewis, Nolan and even Mattison would have likely got the same from that talented unit.

Funny, I clearly remember the Colts pulling their starters in one of those wins.

Rex is interesting, personable, outrageous at times.

The problem is, at times, he makes it about him, and not about his team. I'll bet more "casual" NFL fans know who the Jets coach is than who their starting QB is.

Also I took out the Colts resting their players game. I counted the playoff win this year. He is really 5-4 including the AFCG last year against the Colts.

For the record: The opening line on the Championship Game is Pittsburgh by 3.5 - Home field is 3 points, so Vegas calls them even.

I'm sorry, but if this season taught me anything about NE it's that they will always be in the playoffs as long as they have Brady and Belichick. And the Steelers....for whatever the hell reason, they're consistant winners. All I'm hoping for out of the Steelers is that they have a down year.

So what was Rex doing when the the Jets scored 9 points against the Ravens, or 0 points against the Packers or 3 points against the Patriots, or 6 points against the Dolphins?

If you think a HC solely determines whether a coordinator gets fired mid-season, you don't know football.

Harbaugh isn't soft dude.

How is it ridiculous? Football is a team game. You talk about Sanchez being in the AFCN and Joe being at home. When the Jets had to make huge plays, their WRs came through for Sanchez. Joe's WRs didn't.

jets fanbase is small. they have the media...but they don't have the fanship. Ny is Giants country through and through. I don't feel as though the jets orgnaization and there 2 extra bandwagon fans if they luck up to win it all will be thrown in our face like the team with 6rings that had a 30year head start. sorry the colts left and we don't have history and traditions.

A lot of New Yorkers/die hard Giants fans I know consider the Jets their "younger brother" and root for them throughout the playoffs, unless they were to meet in the Super Bowl.

He did have a big contribution but having pass rushers like Pryce, Suggs, a younger Ray, Ed and Gregg, steady contributors in Bart and Landry and two top-notch CBs in McAlister and Rolle was even more important. Where was his schemes in '07? He's a very good coach but like most coaches, he's only as good as his players.

Okay, fair enough.

Really funny. Fact is, if you truthfully feel the Pats and Jets game would have played out exactly the same had the Ravens won last night, you need help.

I've never said guys might have played harder or their game-plans would have been different but to imply the Jets would have definitely still won tonight had the Ravens taken care of business last night is foolish.
