The Bottom Line

9 posts in this topic

Yes I am crushed after that senseless loss.
Yes, Housh and Boldin dropped key passes that they should have easily caught and changed the game.
Yes the refs were horrible.
Yes, Joe seems to get rattled when things don't go our way.
Yes, Harbaugh wants a conservative offense, so I think Cam is going nowhere.
The bottom line is we had it and could not protect the lead.
I love my team and am a diehard Ravens lover, but I am sad that I will have to wait until next year to give it another go.
Especially when we should be in the mix.
I am still proud and happy to root for the best team in the NFL.

the play calling is safe and lame. Draw plays on third and long? Almost every time?
How about a speedy Stallworth downfield on a first down. I am watching the ridiculous Bears walking all over the Seahawks and Cutler threw it all the way on the first play -for a TD. Joe has the arm for it - we never do that kind of stuff.
How about a trick play or a fakeout? They never do it, we have the talent to take some brave chances.
If Harbs was really all over it, I think he would throw some input on the sidelines.
Of course I don't really KNOW - just my observations...
Still love 'em.

Harbaugh isn't "all over it". He's given Cam free reign over the offense for the most part and we've seen the results.

Although fans in Baltimore would like to finally have a franchised QB he's just standing there looking through a glass ceiling in which there is either the Colts or Steelers standing in our way. Cam Cameron like many other recycle coaches and coordinators need to take there old obsolete way of thinking and simply leave the game. In Baltimore he is simply standing in the way of new blood and progress. So I hope the Raven's organization is thinking ahead of the curve due to our short comings of the past three years. In today's world most of us can not hold on to careers on the merit of the past so enough of allowing Cam to riding on his past coat tails.

Its really annoying to see everyone trying to blame the referees. The punt return holding call was the right call, you can clearly see Marcus Smith held on that play. The Josh Wilson PI at the start of the game was a questionable call that could have gone either way. Also, on the goal line when Terrence Cody was called for holding, their Right Guard was offsides and Jarrett Johnson was held on that play as well. Regardless, there are penalties committed on every snap of the game, some are called and some aren't. We just simply didn't make the plays that needed to made which ended up in a loss. Only thing now is to look forward to next year, hopefully Ozzie can bring some young talent here.
