Did you watch the latter half of last season? The man was no liability in coverage.
Foxworth was the weak link in our defense that year. He was picked on contantly. He flat out sucks. He cant tackle and he's undisiplined. WR's fly off the line against us that year because he was too soft to jam them before they crossed 5 yards. He's not a asset, he's a liability lol

Foxworth no more a weak link than Fabian? He played better as the season went and was not only limiting WRs but strong in run support too. He was by no means perfect but don't pretend he didn't improve as a player.

He was laying out Ed Reed-esque tackles near the end of the season. I remember many times near the end he was absolutely throwing his body in there and taking people out, thinking it was Reed only to see 24 get up.

Foxworth was playing pro bowl level at the end of the year.

And the score is 3 to 1, in favor of those that watched the 2009 season!

Keep it coming people.....

they both weak to me.. but its no way Foxworth deserved that kind of money in the first place. We CANT go into next season with him as our number 1 or 2 corner. He's really a slot corner. He cant run with the elite recievers in the AFC. Its a few games we lost because of him alone. He got burned constantly in 2009. And he blew out his knee last time i checked. I like Lardarius Webb as our number two corner. Carr and Wilson balled out the last few games this season. We need to draft a scrappy corner that'll get in a recievers face and make it a long day. Foxworth isnt a physical enough corner to get this defense back to that Super Bowl level.

No CB has deserved the money they've received since Deion got paid by the Cowboys! Foxworth was fortunate to be in a shallow CB market and took advantage of it.

What games did the Ravens lose because of him alone? Please provide examples!

He was burned at times in '09 but not all season you're deluding yourself if you don't think he improved.

I think his contract needs restructuring the Ravens can win a Super Bowl with him a starting CB. They need to improve the pass rush though.

To your final statement, how many defenses since 2000 AROUND THE LEAGUE have been as a good as the Ravens' 2000 unit? Not many so your point was weak there.

Bro u want examples? lol okay. in 2009 the Bengals swept the division 6-0. He got exposed both games by Carson Palmer, Chad Ochocinco, and Chris Henry (R.I.P). When we played the Vikings in that thriller he got burned by Sidney Rice contantly. Peyton Manning made him look like a idiot both regular season and in the playoffs.
We went 9-7 that year barely making the playoffs. Lost to Colts 20-3 in the divisonal round bro. Our defense sucked that year.

Fast forward to this year. We go 12-4 and had a dogfight in the playoffs. No Foxworth in the secondary. Granted we still had problems, I never hard cries for Domonique Foxworth to come back. When Ed was out our secondary held it down w/o a true number 1 corner. We cant go backwards dude, 2009 is over. If we make him a 1 or 2 corner we're goin backwards.

Last time I checked, the Ravens lost the first Bengals game because they couldn't stop Benson and then let the Bengals drive down the field late, committing a few penalties along the way. They lost the second because the offense got shut down.

Regarding the Vikings game, what you said is a STONE COLD LIE. Foxworth gave up one, maybe two passes that entire game. Fabian and Walker were the ones getting toasted.

Against the Colts in the regular season, he didn't get beat for any big plays or even a TD. Fabian got beat deep on a long bomb by Garcon and Ed left Dallas Clark open in the back of the end zone. Had the offense been able to punch the ball for a score or not turned the ball over late, the Ravens win that game. Foxworth did give up some passes in the play-off game but none were back-breakers. Again, the offense failed.

The defense sucked in '09? Wow...

Seriously, when did you become a fan of this team?

I was at the Vikings game, and Foxy didn't get lit up once. The long slant play that Rice took was on Fabian and Favre had faked Reed out miserably with a pump, which is why Landry was the one chasing. The bomb at the end of the game Frank walker was the one covering him who gave him easy access to the inside, he took a flag while Rice still caught the ball.

Thank you Sizzle. Fabian was benched after the long slant he gave up but it was Ed who bumped him out of position thanks to Favre's pump fake.

it wasnt a "stone cold lie" lol u serious? u like Foxworth i get it but its just my opinion. I've been a Ravens fan since the beginning when we played at Memorial stadium. I was there and im 25 now. I was maybe 13 or 14 when i had season tickets at Memorial Stadium. Dont try to down play me im just talking football. Ur probably not even from Baltimore. Probably another county Marylander 30 miles away from the city claiming Ravens as your home team lol. You act like im just making stuff up.

It was a "stone cold lie". Your opinions regarding him are flawed sir. Here are highlights of the game. Show me where Rice burnt Foxworth.

Don't make assumptions you can't back up.

Regarding Foxworth, you are making things up. You can't name a single game where Foxworth caused the Ravens to lose, because it didn't happen. And you have no way to prove Rice toasted Foxworth because again, it didn't happen.

I'd have guessed you were about 13 or 14, not even joking. I mean no disrespect, but you're way off the mark and taking pot shots at other posters for no apparent reason.

You're wrong in your analysis of a player and are being rebutted. Sorry, but again, you're wrong!

okay i watched the highlight reel..highlights dont show the time of possesion and the 1st down conversions..they had the ball for 34 minutes on offense..highlights show BIG PLAYS..im not making assumptions u proved my point..Foxworth was nowhere to be found when Peterson ran wild in the secondary..his main weakness is getting off blocks when good running teams play smashmouth and one on one coverage.. one highlight tape in October doesnt tell the whole story..nice try but FAIL lol

First his biggest weakness was coverage, then you couldn't provide ANY proof (typical) and now he's a run liabilty and can't get off blocks? You fail miserably!

This is getting pathetic. First you say Foxworth got brunt by Rice but on his two biggest plays of the game, Foxworth wasn't covering him on either play. I watched the game and didn't see him get beat badly once. Sizzle, who was actually at the game, has said he didn't see Domonique get beat. So now, you change your argument and bring up the fact he wasn't around when Peterson had big runs.

Face it, you have zero facts to back up your claims Foxworth was the weak link for the defense in '09.

Here's further ammunition for my argument. Against the Bears, Foxworth won AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Link

I didnt change my argument lol Rice did get the best of him that game and hes weak in run defense..you singled out one game in October dude..what about the Cincinnati games where Chris Henry(RIP) caught a one handed grab 50 yards down the field?? Even Ochocinco had him on his heels..Remember that? that was the last game of his career sadly..who was the quarterback for the Bears in 2009 Cutler?? Not impressed. If you think he's such an asset why did we rank higher in overall defense this year compared to 2009? Not to mention Ed Reed missed the first month of the season. Numbers dont lie bro. At this point ur grasping for straws trying to defend Foxworth lol

Yes, Henry beat him deep and Chad got the best of him at times but Foxworth was not the sole reason the Ravens lost either of those games. Getting gashed by Benson was the much bigger issue.

The Ravens did not rank higher in overall defense this season. THAT IS ANOTHER LIE.

No, You got owned in this debate lol lets be clear bro i critisize Foxworth because i want us to be the best..from what i've seen i think he'll let us down when it matters the most..i think we need to move in a different direction..besides Ed Reed our secondary barely generates turnovers. Since Chris Mccalister was cut our secondary has been ordinary. Im not a robot so dont over evaluate that i say and for some reason ppl choose to get personal and throw insults around like im just making stuff up because their arguments dont hold water lol

Your argument does not hold water. Your argument can't even hold air because it's virtually hollow. I asked you to provide examples of games where Foxworth caused the Ravens to lose and you failed to do that. You brought up a game where he wasn't beat for a significant gain once and another person backed me up on that. I've asked you to provide video evidence of a play where he was beat by Rice and you have been unable to do so. He was beat in two other games you brought up a few times but as I said, not the main reason the Ravens lost.

You're entitled to believe Foxworth will let the team down when he returns next season(assuming there's football) and that he played poorly all last season but don't blatantly lie and then childishly write "lol" when you have no evidence to back your claims.
