Why Do I Have A Throbing Headache?

16 posts in this topic

My head hurts, I'm so flipping angry. I've been a Lakers fan since near birth, but a Ravens fan only since 2000, but I hate the Steelers more than I hate the Celtics. Hines Ward is a bigger **** than Paul Pierce, at least Paul is civil off the court, Ward loves to rub salt in the wound, before, after, and during.

That holding call on Marcus Smith on Webb's PR TD was typical of the Steelers, it's in their DNA, they get a gift call down the stretch just when they need it. It's hard to say there's a conspiracy that the league loves the Steelers, but it's hard to ignore their history of gift calls in monster games, they can't all be dumb luck.

Outside of that ,the Ravens choked the rest of the game like I've never seen them do before, Ray Rice has ZERO fumbles in the regular season and gets a huge one in this game, Boldin drops a easy TD, and Housh drops a 4th & 15 with nobody on him, especially since the Ravens LED THE NFL WITH THE FEWEST DROPPED PASSES.

The Steelers proved why their still the best defense in the world, applying incredible pressure in the 3rd, it seems like Dick Laboe needs to leave before the Ravens get over.

Easily the worst loss in the short history of the Baltimore Ravens.

I feel the worst for Ray Lewis & Ed Reed, those guys give everything and carry our team year after year, and now they lose a little more steam off their engines as they get another year older.

i was disappointed in Ray. The cameras showed him on the bench with his head down halfway through the 4th Quarter. I felt like he gave up. If your team leader and you have negative body language...things aren't good.

A two second camera shot doesn't capture what he was doing on the sidelines.

true, not saying he was like that. but why should he have been like that at all?

idk, not my place to say anything, i'm not in the game, i'm just a fan. but not something i wanted to see when I was heated and disappointed.

I think you may have answered your own question  it was pretty damn cold when the sun went down in Pittsburgh. Huddling in your jacket on the bench is a good way to stay warm, conserve energy, and not get buffeted by the elements. That's just my reasoning, though.

Berad just a practical answer.

On a deeper level though, can't you sympathize with Ray a little? The man has probably taken a year or two off his career with the extra punishment he's endured and dished out due to playing on a team that could never find an offense capable of lifting him and the defense when the chips were truly down.

It was supposed to be different this year and with all the struggles we saw, the team looked poised to advance past a hated rival in the post-season for the first time, mainly because of the offense. But then, they proceed to turn the ball over three times in the third quarter, all the while picking up negative yardage.

Considering the countless inspirational speeches he's delivered and huge plays he's made, I can forgive Ray for a moment of despair. He's entitled to it.

That's true. It's got to be a little disheartening to be on these great teams and have an entire season go down the drain - especially when it's not your side of the ball that is struggling. As fans, we think we're mad, imagine what these players, coaches, and personnel, feel like. None of us have nearly as much invested in this team as they do.

you know, I watched the press conference right now, and after watching Ray speak, I understood. I spoke too soon. I'm still recovering from the grief. We all are, I think.

Ray deserves another Superbowl. I just wish this offense would work with our defense.

Sign Asomougha, sign a game changing WR, get some speed, and bulk up the line....then I think we have a real Superbowl shot.

I doubt either of those things happen and really, I don't want them to right now. This team needs to upgrade through the draft. With Ngata set to be paid handsomely and Rice and Flacco's contracts looming after this season, the Ravens must re-tool through the draft.

Yeah I could care less about Asomugha. I'm more concerned with keeping the pieces worth keeping and start building for our future. More so on defense though. It seems like we can never get that elite offense. I thought this could of been our year starting off with all the pieces we added. We were not that much better than last year.

In terms of offensive line play and points scored, the team took a step back. Sad...

Because Cam is a fool. You have a slower possession WR who isn't great at getting separation but pretty good with the ball in his hands and the only you can think of getting him the ball is on a naked screen.

I read the first point of that article 5 times because it's the truth and the truth is lovely.

Yeah, I agree. We need to do something about Cam as well, though.
