I'll miss Le'Ron a little but I think the Ravens can find a better blocking FB.
Same here. I'd rather have a pure blocking FB, than one that wants the ball in his hands. I've never been the biggest McClain fan because he lacks what the best FBs to the best.

Personally I think he did everything well and didnt utilise him fully, we could just pickup a blocking FB but then lining up in iform becomes too predictable. What about using a blocking TE as an H-back?

Fabe can go. I dont think anyone cares.

But im torn with McClain. Whenever we ran out of a 2-back set, we got a gain. But we barely get anything with a single back set. On the other hand, if he demands too much money, we can pay half the salary he'll demand to a FB that specializes in blocking.

McClain's good, and he's important, but he may be too expensive, and FBs are replaceable.

Looks like Le'Ron took that post down. It is still up on Fabe's though.
It's still there. His last tweet was just "UFA"!

I feel sort of like a he is slapping the Ravens fans in the face. You just had a huge lost and you are posting about how excited you are to be a UFA? What the ******?

Owen Marecic anyone??

He is a straight up football player
Hell yes! I'd love to see the Ravens draft Marecic.

Maybe I'm overreacting but I got the sense he didn't really like being here after the Pats game and his immature insult at fans that criticized him. If dude is excited to be a FA, let him go.

Oh yeah, if he is doing that, then let him go. He is a good Fullback but is definitely expendable. We dont need a TO at that position.

Edit: Maybe I am missing something, but I am clicking on his link to go to his twitter page and Im not seeing that even after I refresh.

I liked LAY'RON ......AT TIMES I didn't appreciate his bone head antics or his dropped passes in the flat or his tirade with twittering. 2008 was magic for him though!

Let's not all throw McClain under the bus acting like he was nothing to this team. He was something and was a key part of our offense. A b*tch move by him yes, but we can't deny he was important to us.

The proof is in the pudding. It's less than a couple hours after losing a big game and McClain is posting this? Its a poor sign of maturity on a professional level. Keep it to yourself. Don't tweet to mostly Ravens fans who follow you.

No one has denied he's a key part of the offense but he isn't irreplaceable.

Exactly. FB is probly the position most easily replaced.

Lets not forget who made that year for him. Lorenzo Neal was a big part of that offense.

I think if we got a sole blocking FB we would be in better shape. In protection for Flacco but also in opening up lanes for Rice and McGahee.

Exactly. Le'Ron should be happy he's been on a team for three years that even uses a FB.

Can't blame the dude for wanting to go somewhere where he'll get more touches but the timing does seem a little disrespectful.
Dude is still a FB. His primary focus should be to block. He can run the ball, but he isn't as effective without another FB leading the way. What team wants to hold onto two FBs.

Don't know but with all of the "McClain 4 RB" stuff in training camp I would assume he still thinks he can be more integral in an offense, at least in ways other than blocking.

Fabe can go all he wants. after the Bills game my faith in him plummeted.

LeRon I'd be sad to see go, but he's replaceable and he is expensive. and his blocking wasn't all that good.

nothing of irreplaceable, insane value is lost, really.

I say franchise tag him and trade him to a sorry team that needs a RB.
They'll probably need the franchise tag for Haloti Ngata. I don't think it's gonna be easy to re-sign him. And this whole CBA thing is going to make things even more complicated.

<profanity delete>... yeah, good luck with that. If the Ravens drafted John Connor instead of Sergio Kindle. But yeah, they're the "masters of the draft" so nevermind.

Give Sergio time. There are plenty of fullbacks to go every year. We can get a good one more than likely in the late 4 or 5th round, maybe later.
