Malcolm Floyd and James Jones are both free agents next season... they will be very reasonable (money) options... both of them have speed, height and the youth

Boldin was wide open for a TD early in the game and Flacco didn't see his hand waving in the air. Flacco lose in the playoffs, it's proven three times over.

Look at it all year long. Our inability to score in the red zone and put teams away. Whether its the OC, QB, or other coaches, they all had a part to play. Flacco, or as he played tonight, Falco, didn't help and no more of this new QB stuff. 3 years now and he either needs to step up, or step out.

Im going to be completely honest. This was our year to go all the way. Everyone says that there is always next year, but we cannot exclude the fact that our defense is aging (hate to say it but when Ray is missing open tackles and getting beat to the edge he's slowing down, and it can only get worst and worst). Without that high ranking defense that us baltimorians have come accustom to the past 10 years, the ravens cannot go far. Baltimore has never been an offensive minded team and when Ray leaves the field(which he will) we are goin to have to change, and change takes a long time in the NFL. We had everything goin for us this year, an OK offense, and defense that was getting the job done. But today when it came down to crucial moments we could not preform. Im rly sick and tired to loosing the dirty playing steelers. I just wished that we could have pulled this one out. Mr. Flacco, Boldin, Housh, and Mason better live together this off season and develop some type of rhythm or chemistry because if we want to do anything in the SB in the following years, its goin to be on Bmor's offense not the aging defense. I FEEL BAD FOR T. SUGGS BECAUSE HE PLAYED HIS HEART OUT AND HAD NO HELP IN THE SECONDARY OR THE OFFENSE. GOOD GAME SUGGS!

Let's look at the main things to be taken away from this game and the season as a whole.

FIRE CAM CAMERON! Why? Cause the second the 3rd quarter began, so did the conservative silliness. Turnovers or not, he tried to run the clock out with only 2 scores ahead and the Steelers would have clawed their way back. He doesn't have the slightest understanding of going for the kill. Pathetic.

DO NOT FRANCHISE FLACCO. In fact, look to replace him. The biggest mistake of the year was letting go of Troy Smith. I've been saying for 3 years, start Troy Smith. Flacco has no poise under pressure. 2 key overthrows to Heap, one for an INT and the other on the last drive that lucky wasn't picked off, not that it mattered in the end. He looks like a little lost child under pressure. No internal clock AT ALL. He loves to hold on to the ball too long, he must have separation anxiety. And if you think it's a good idea against the Steelers to only throw to Boldin twice, you are definitely not the QB we want for this team. Did Mason even touch the ball?

STOP RUNNING ON 2ND and PLUTO. Need I say more on that?

SPREAD THE FIELD. Watch Matt Ryan or Aaron Rodgers play, they will hit you every and anywhere. For the last two years, every game I hope Flacco gets hurt so that he can be relieved by someone with this sense.

I've lost faith in this team's dedication to a Super Bowl, they show an inability to learn from mistakes. They don't make Super Bowl level decisions. They're all talk, no action aka hypocrites. This team won't drop a Brett Favre to train an Aaron Rodgers or remove a Randy Moss for make a more threating offense.

They just repeat the same step. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing multiple times and expecting a different outcome, which is what this team does.

Suggs played his heart out. and its a shame.
ray is gettin old, and i wouldn't be surprised if he retired this year, this is a tough loss.
Ed and Ray aren't getting any younger.
This was suppose to be the year.
Once ed and ray are gone.... The teams done.

Lastly, I thought as a whole the defence played pretty well more or less. Suggs was a beast against the Steelers as usual, this game really seems to bring out the best in him...now he has to keep that going for a whole season! Redding had probably his best game as a Raven too?
Having said that I am perplexed as to why on 3rd and long the majority of the time we only have a 3 or 4 man rush max??? Consistently this season we have been too conservative when it comes to these sorta plays & have been punished over & over. We have to rush Big Ben or any quarterback for that matter! Thats how they make mistakes, but we never seem to learn from this! Time & time again we got to Ben & he got nowhere...why oh why on a 3rd & 19 do you go away from that and give him all the time in the world?? It's like the Houston game all over again!!
So in reflection I think Mattison needs to go, and i think we need to get someone in who is aggressive, like many of our defensive players, but is also able to stand up to Harbaugh and make the calls & decisons for himself?

Like I sad before... the Team lost this one! There is no singel player to blame! 3 costly turnovers by 3 different players after the HT ... the 3rd and 19 blown coverage with a catsh to the 3yard line... the drops... it just was like the whole year, we lose games after a lead in the second half...

A lot of work for Ozzie.... fix the D ... the Passrush and the DBs , bring in a future LB to learn from Ray... and do something about the WR Squad... to many personalitys to many 30 plus WRs.... time to find another young WR beside Boldin who will play with Joe for the next 5-10 years!

I really don't want to jump on the hate wagon for anyone specific, there will be plenty of deserved and undeserved commenting for that, however...

The Defense has been our bread and butter in Baltimore for years. It sinks my stomach thinking that we are moving away from that. With all these high-octane offenses emerging around the league, we need to either stay stoic on defense or start running with the big boys on O. If we no longer have the '2000 Defense' then we need a lot better than the 2000 Offense to bring another Championship home.

Go Ravens!

Matt Ryan has a defense that can't stop anything. And yes, Troy Smith, 3 years deep starting would be a force to be reckoned with.

It was upsetting to see our receivers drop balls in such desperate situations. Those are the times good players step up. Though this season has ended, I feel the Ravens will peak in 2012. I hope Ray can make it to the peak before he must retire.

another key stat in the game... PITT was 4 of 7 on Third and Longs... I dont care what defense you have... Converting plays like those are crushing and lose momentum

We're all angry, but such stupidity is coming out in these posts. Troy Smith, really? Yeah he's really done well in SF... oh wait, he couldn't keep the starting job. Trade Flacco? Please, spare us all the inane and worthless comments that are coming out on this thread, be realistic.
