Honestly Are We Really Shocked Or Suprised?

4 posts in this topic

I'm not
We pretty much saw the same things get exposed through the majority of the 16 games during the season whether we won or lost them. The only difference between then and now is it was on more of grand stage now vs regular season games.

Checklist of failure...

predictable and lack of creative offensive play calling
lack of an offensive line
a QB that looks awesome until pressure is applied than transforms into the poster boy for a deer caught in the headlights
D giving up huge yardage for the inability to tackle on third downs

Yep that aboout covers it :)

Im pretty shocked, I wont lie, after thoroughly dominating them in the entire first half...21-7, 4 sacks, less than 100 yards of offense for the Steelers, Cam using good plays to go for TDs (pick play to Heap, TE screen to Heap, delay to Rice for a TD was a great call). Then the offensive line just takes the option on pass blocking, Flacco makes a brutal decision on 1st down and throws a pick right after Rice fumbles.

Say what you will, but this loss hurts worse than the one in Baltimore this year in like week 13. I honestly thought this was our time to beat Roethlisberger.

Yes, I am shocked and surprised.

For as many negatives instances we saw today, Rice's fumble, the botched snap by Birk, Boldin and Houshmandzadeh's dropped passes and the 3rd and 19 play genuinely left me stunned.

I was shocked that we blew the game in such a big spot... up 21-7 in Pitt in the playoffs. This game was ours to win and we blew it.
