Let's Criticize Flacco Here

234 posts in this topic

No I will not bash Flacco. We lost as a team today. Yes Flacco threw a pick, but Rice fumbled which he never does, Birk snapped a ball off his leg. Boldin dropped a TD and Housh dropped a first down pass at the end. David smith gets called for holding on the Webb TD punt return. Every one can share in the blame for this loss. Flacco is a franchise QB. As for our record next year it may be 0-0. I pray there will be football next year but right now its not looking good.

There's a reason he went to Delaware, guys... so many stupid and costly plays in big games, especially against Pitt. He can't even snap the stinking ball without fumbling it.
The guy he backed up at Pitt is named Tyler Palko. John David Booty went to USC, and Chad Henne set records at Michigan. Where are they now?

I wonder if Matt Ryan is going to get bashed after their loss.

At least we aren't getting crushed at home after being the #1 seed. Good lord, this forum would be pulling off mass suicide.

Bash whomever you like, halftime Ravens are winning 7-21 and lose 31-24. Point the fingers where you may.

Joe, the pass to Heap was kind of dumb since he was bracketed high and low, you forced it in and should of checked it down.

That is all the beef I have with Flacco, other than that he made some decent throws.

I've mentioned it before. The 2nd half collapse might have something to do with having 6 days rest while the Steelers had 14 days rest.
Sure it's an excuse but there are such things as valid excuses. The team may have been tired compared to the Steelers.

That being said I'm wondering if Joe Flacco will ever be a big game QB. He had a good game against Atlanta next week true but he needs to keep that level of play up throughout the playoffs and especially against Pittsburgh.

I remember saying at the half. Even if the Steelers can score TDs, will they be able to stop us from putting up more points? I had no idea both sides were going to close up shop.

To be fair, the defense was put in a very tough spot on three consecutive occasions in the third quarter after stopping the Steelers on their first drive.

Dude he payed terrible, it doesnt matter what the circumstance, the plays called, -4 yards in the ENTIRE third quarter is horrendous... Not even Alex Smith from the 49ers played that poorly, also ravens should pick up alex smith. Joe Flacco will never be great, he doesnt have it in him. Give Manning, Brady, Ryan, Rodgers, Mcnabb, 1 minute and 33 seconds and 3 probowl recievers and great feild position theyre gonna perform in the clutch
As much as McNabb, Manning and Ryan have choked in the playoffs give me a break. "top 5 QB" Matt Ryan is about to lose another playoff game. So much for that overrated stat about them being almost undefeated at home in the Ryan era.

Matt Ryan isn't lookin' so great right now. And Pittsburgh manhandled him in week 1, they beat him without Roethlisberger. I have my doubts that he would be able to do any better than Flacco against the Steelers. They're just a dominant defense, and their QB is one ring away from being on par with Tom Brady, and personally I think he's better.

Everyone is saying give Joe a chance its only his third year, yeah well its also Marc Sanchez ,Matt Ryan Aaron Rogers, who while has been in the game for awhile, has only been a starting quarterback for the last 3years if that, look at the 3 compared to Flacco aka ******o, They have passion and display it, Flacco(******o) has nothing,he is like a robot, comes out on the field, no energy, nothing!!!!!!!!!!!! as if he could care less thats the difference!!!!!Even in his interviews nothing no passion!!!!
Mark Sanchez? They were lucky to even win the Colts game the way he played. And do you honestly think he's going to beat the Patriots? No.

And are you watching Matt Ryan play right now? He's thrown 2 interceptions. And the Steelers have the best defense, the BEST.

As long as Flacco is our QB, we have no shot at winning.

Look for a 7-9 season next year as the vets retire.
BEST... THREAD... EVER! I think 7-9 might be a little generous actually. I wouldn't be shocked to see this team fighting not to finish in the basement of the AFC North very soon. And it's all thanks to Flacco! hahaha

Would the Ravens be competing for a Super Bowl with your potentially "great" hero Troy Smith?

Based on what? Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl.
Based on the fact he's accomplished more individually than any other Ravens QBs in his time here. Dude, seriously, why in the hell are you even a fan of this team?

I can fully understand if you don't like Flacco but don't delude yourself into pretending the guy hasn't been relatively successful.

Probably not. The refs wouldn't like the Ravens no matter who is QB. And Troy Smith has nothing to do with Flacco choking again.

The refs? Great response.

Answer the question dude. The entire offense choked tonight; it wasn't just Joe.

HOW has be been more successful than Trent Dilfer? If you're going to say Dilfer got by on a great defense and running game... then PLEASE don't even act like Flacco is the reason this team has made the playoffs.

Seriously, you look at STATS and try to make a statement like that. Try watching the actual game.
Okay, so Trent's Super Bowl win trumps everything Joe has done so far. That doesn't mean Joe isn't a better QB than Dilfer or that he doesn't appear to have a brighter future.

Joe isn't the sole reason the Ravens have made the play-offs his three seasons but last year and this year, he's been a pretty big reason why.

Maybe you should try and actually watch the games. Your hatred for Joe has been comical for a while now.

3 years ...3 playoff appearances. Hmm. How'd Wonderboy Ryan do tonight? As of his last play, 20/29 for 186yards, 1 TD, 2 INT and a 69.0 passer rating and smoked by 27 points. Yea, I can clearly see how his obvious superiority is paying off for Atlanta.

I want more consistency. I want to watch a game without feeling like they're going to lose it in the final 4 minutes of every game. I want to see them in the Superbowl. But look at Flacco's stats. Compare them to Tom Brady's first 3 years. Compare them to Peyton Manning's. This was a horrendous game for him ... but get rid of him? Really? Without giving him another Offensive Coordinator to see if that's the problem (which many of us think it is)? Wow.

Just wanted to check who thought to enter this treasonous thread?

Joe's performance has improved markedly in a short duration. He is still gaining experience, and will benefit more playing in the big games. By the way, this comment, by another poster, was unintended to be bashing. It is more to be a helpful evaluation. Also, Joe 'Cool" it may be better to get more into the action, be more animmated, interact on the field with teamates. He seems too poised. Manning is also, but while orchestrating, directing his line and receivers simultaneiuosly calling audibles. Manning is dynamic.

Bash Joe for what!? For not making the receivers run better routes and get open. The check downs all season are because Mason, Housh and Boldin ARE NOT GETTING OPEN. Who do you want him to pass the ball to the refs bro? Flacco will prove to be an elite qb next season, we need to rid of all the old guys and bring in some young blood to develop around Joe. Not saying rid of all the old guys but a handful at least. I'm sure theres a ton of hidden undeveloped talent and Oz is pretty good at spotting it.

Are you one of those fans who will suggest later on that we trade a 1st round pick for Peyton Manning because he hasn't gotten his extension yet? Or better yet, maybe we can get the Patriots to ship us Tom Brady for a 3rd rounder. :141847_thud:

Flacco's not perfect but his team let him down this game. I'm looking at you Boldin, Housh, Rice.
