Let's Criticize Flacco Here

234 posts in this topic

Well Flacco's QB rating would be a lot higher if not for the dropped passes. But he doesn't seem to be at his best in the big games and until he beats Ben he will will always have that hanging over him.

I'd like to say he's an elite QB but to be honest I don't think he is yet, and he is not as good as Ben. Flacco is an above average NFL QB, a good QB, but that is about all.
The team will not win because of him, like the Pats do with Brady.

When did his WR "bail him out"? The throw on 3rd and 19 was pretty spot on.

How many times did Flacco throw the ball down the field? I remember 2 times, both to D Mase and one we got a PI and the other Mason broke up a sure pick.

We never give credit where credit is due. Ben made some big time throws when he needed to.
His WR bailed him out by not dropped a catchable ball like Ravens WRs did in crunch time. Making a big time throw only works when the WR catches the football. That pass to Boldin in the endzone was Boldins bread and butter and he dropped it.

Well, your memory fails you. He threw the ball down the field to Heap for a completion that led to a Cundiff field goal and did the same to Houshmandzadeh late(the ball was spot on) only for it to be dropped.

Every Year I hear the same thing, bad calls by coaches, refs , lack of coverage, lets get real Put the blame where it
lies and fix the problem. If you were not doing your job would everyone pat you on the back, say good try there is always next year!!! 3 Years in a row now come on!!!! Don't know about anyone else but I am tired of losing to the
Steelers in the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It must be Flaccos fault the balls were dropped. Everyone watched it happen and you could tell TJ was hurt by it. Its like When Mark Clayton dropped that 4th down play against NE and everyone said Flacco choked. Flacco didn't play well in the 2nd half but he had some good throws and he once again played with no running game. Even the Steelers had a better rushing attack than the Ravens.

Yea TJ should've caught the one at the end to extend the drive. Flacco made the best possible throw he could. And Boldin had a TD when he let the ball whack him off his chest.

So, in your opinion. Where does the blame lie? You didn't elaborate.

His decision making is not where it should be for a third year QB. Throwing to Heap in double coverage like that, running out of bounds for a 9 yd loss instead of throwing the ball away. Things like that make me wonder how good he will get.

First thing you learn as a WR...don`t Jump if its not neccesery ... what did TJ did without a reason...+ he let the ball hit his pats...

Lets try and get a HOME playoff game against the Steelers and see how he does. Nothing but road playoff games don't help his playoff stats.

The truth is if Flacco cannot beat Pittsburgh with Big Ben then he is worthless to all of us Ravens fans. Whether or not people want to accept that fact is on them.

I love dumb statements like this.

So Flacco is supposed to beat another team by himself?

Unless Flacco works on his vision problems in the offseason I honestly do think it's time to look into other options at QB. Not just this game, but too many times this season has Flacco missed a wide open receiver. No, I'm not trying to bash him but I'm just speaking the truth.

I love the short memory some Ravens fans have, where they call for the head of their record breaking QB after only taking them to the Divisional game and their 3rd straight season in the playoffs. The same QB who didn't play top level Collegiate football and was projected to need a couple of seasons before he could start for an NFL team!

the opposing QB has NOTHING to do with how our QB performs. They dont literally play against each other...
Whe whole game comes down to two plays if you ask me. Boldin's drop and the rectum-clenched defensive play call on 3rd&19.
Yeah rice fumbled, so what. yeah Joe threw a pick, so what. Yeah, the defense gave up a bunch of points, that can happen when the offense hangs you out to dry.

Had Boldin caught that pass we're up by 4 with little time left.

Had we blitzed on 3rd&19 I believe they get a completion but no first down and we get the ball back with the game tied.

There's a reason he went to Delaware, guys... so many stupid and costly plays in big games, especially against Pitt. He can't even snap the stinking ball without fumbling it.

I know how you feel man, I feel the same way about your sediments on the game. Flacco is 0-6 vs Big Ben, say what you will but Flacco cannot get it done on the big stage against good defenses. I clearly do not believe that he should be winning games by himself, however is it a coincidence that he is 0-6 vs our most hated rival? Hardly. He had 16 completions for 125 yards tonight.

His post season W-L is not indicative of how he has played, he has 6 TD's and 9 INT's.

FF, you're disappointing me this evening. You're not really on the mark with your posting.

Did you see the snap? Did you see Joe motioning for a WR to shift? Did you see the snap hit Birks thigh? Did you see the drops tonight?

Isn't "bashing" any of the Ravens against forum rules? While Flacco may have not played the greatest, this loss can't be solely placed on him. I will not take a part of "bashing" Flacco. Get real.

Flaccid Flacco Disaster is what it was today.

Ravens had it all 21-7 2nd half.

Instead of preparing for a fight, Flacco just stood there in awe and in shock, unable to play to the standard that he is regarded as (a elite QB). In that 2nd half, he almost mimiced exactly what Kyle Boller would do. Check my 1st receiver on right, uh oh check-down time, wait i need more time to just throw a piss poor check down! OUCH SACK.

Then he does that same routine.

Next play fumble, next play sack, next play fumble.

Next play check down, run run run, tries pass but gets fumbled.

Next play pass (OH Interception!)

I just wonder what would happen if we were in a position where QB HAD to be the leader of the team to win games (ie. saints), where we didn't had tough defense to back up our paultry offense, or WR's that flacco didn't attempt to use till the last 2 minute.

Sediments?

The Ravens are 0-6 against the Steelers with Ben at QB since Joe took over. QBs records are foolish! There are a myriad of of reasons for that and Joe is certainly one of those. However, we like to forget 5 of those games were played with him in his first and second seasons. How many young QBs around the league are able to carve up the top defense in the league in their first few seasons.

Joe actually has 7 TDs in the post-season. People like to pretend it didn't happen but he ran for a TD against the Dolphins his rookie season.

Just dn't think Joe is that smart and certainly not quick at reading the game. Seems like his cool label comes more from his not getting it. Don't get me wrong he is not a bad QB but don't think he has high IQ or for the game or in general. Again doesn't need to be a genius but even Ben seems and talks smarter (just is a child off the field). Feel like he is a closer comparison to Kerry Collins good Average QB makes it on arm and basic skill sets but not enough to go to nxt level.

Joe doesn't snap the ball, Birk does. And it doesn't help when he snaps it into his own thigh!

Did You see Joe miss a wide open Boldin? Did you see Joe throw a terrible interception deep in our zone? Did you see Joe run out of bounds again instead of throwing it away? How about holding the ball forever and taking sack after sack? Face the putrid facts, he just doesn't have "it"

Bashing is allowed as long as it relates to their play on the field. Personal attacks are not allowed.

Yeah that wasn't on Flacco. That was an all-pro veteran center snapping the ball early, and into his *** as well. Nothing on Joe there.
