Raven grabbed steeler right chest, then switched hands to grasp right shoulder, illegally prevented him from impacting play. Good call.

Initial view was more clear than replay.

The hold was blatant but it was a few seconds before the clip the stupid media keeps showing where the two came together and Allen fell down.

The reason they came together was because #11 grabbed Allen's jersey and yanked him to him. If you have the ability to watch it you can see it clear as day.....I have no idea why the media is showing that video clip from 3-4 seconds later.

Here is a pic of the hold that caused them to come together.

The guy flopped!! Terrible Terrible call..... Pittsburgh has gotten crucial calls forever. Look at the Miami game, with 3 officials from the city of Pittsburgh calling the game and the fumble in the endzone. They claimed they didnt know who recovered the ball!!!!!!!!!!! How does this continue to go on?? Seriously? Im sick to my stomach and have been all damn day....gonna be weeks bfore I can even start the healing process.. I was 8 years old when my dad was taking me to Memorial Stadium..I have been a Baltimore sports fan all my life and this loss hurts more than any loss EVER

I'm sure the next one will hurt just as much, once time gets by this loss.

We just so happen to have a tough organization in our division. They get calls but we'd be kidding ourselves if we said we don't get calls or that we didn't deserve the one we got.

Its funny but the Steelers fans feel the exact same way about the Refs as we do.

The problem is, they have gotten calls in the post season that have helped them tremendously!! All the way back to Francos fake catch, to the Seattle Super Bowl in which I never even finished watching, my stomach couldnt take it. Then this year with refs that live in Pitt doing the game, and making a call like that!! Thats HUGE!! We are home last week resting and we get Pitt at home!! ONE CALL!! Sick of it! Could we have played better? Hell yes...what we did in the 3rd quarter is inexusable! But thats part of the game...and we finally bounced back with special teams and of course..a flag.

And by the way...that picture showing a hold is BS! Watch the video...he had his hand like that for a split second...and the Pitt guy had a handful of Jersey!! Joke..sick of it.. J E T S JETS JETS JETS

That Franco fake catch brings back memories! That seems to be when all the breaks started going the Steelers' way, and haven't stopped.
Regarding where the refs live, they're just remembering who they work for and want the check to clear. B)

Did you see that one ref, yank that ball out of Rice's hand? Unbelievable. And that other ref, perfect timing threw his flag up, defelected the pass from Flacco and we got the interception. Also loved the strength of those refs knocking the ball out of Boldins hands and T.J's to seal the game.

I don't like a lot of calls the refs make, but a good team over comes them and don't cry about them. This year has been the worst year of officiating I can ever recall, but crap happens and you deal with it the best you can. If you are up 21-7 and lose, that is not on the refs, especially when you have -4 yards in a quarter.
Like i said you don't deal with game changing calls because it doesn't happen to the steelers the would have, could have, should have, doesn't matter. Good luck in the next game, and the bowl i won't watch, but im sure yall will be great.

Ha, now it's funny how your attitude changes from "it wasn't a penalty and it was a dive" to, "Oh, why do we get these called against us, I wish they'd just let them play"

And just so you know that these kinda plays Don't happen all game long. When a player gets his arms outside his shoulder, its almost always a penalty. There is clutching when you stay within the shoulders but with his arm extended like that, its a very very obvious call and the correct one at that.
Your delusional if you think that does not happen all the time. I played in the league i use to do it. Fans are so Funny. good win though Pitt you got it. Good luck next week. Remember Karma is a female dog.

It happened right in front a ref who had a clear view of the penalty. The initial replay on TV showed the play from the opposite side (facing Smith).

Terrible call, wasn't what cost us the game, but bad call altogether.

It was a good call(holding on the punt return)

I was more concern on the pass interfernece call on the ravens in the first half. I didn't like that call.

It'll always be a good call according to Steeler fans. Just consider the source.
Oh contraire Pierre, I did not think it was a good call at all, but then I saw the replay, and even though it was "weak", it was still a penalty. There have been plenty of calls for and against the Steelers that leave me scratching my head. Bottom line though, if you have to say your team lost a football game because of bad calls, then your team is not very good in the first place.

I can't believe this is still being talked about!

If you watch the entire play it is easy to see the hold causing the redirection of Allen. If you watch the last few seconds where they collide, you are missing the hold.

So despite the photo and the fact that he couldn't turn to engage the returner, his was a bogus call right? And you as a source is so much more reliable because you're a fan of the Ravens?

He couldn't turn because he was being pushed down to the ground, which is perfectly legal. The "tug" only happened because the defender decided just to all-out flop to the ground quickly. They always grab jersey to help push, they just cant tug on it, and when the dude laid himself out it appeared Smith was tugging. Horrible call.

I watched the Raven switch hands on that hold. Had his left chest in his grasp, then grabbed the left shoulder with his other hand. He was being held before Webb even got there. He was the last guy who could have made the play and I was freaking out about it live long before he went down. Right call.

It is going to be talked about regardless who it happened to. If the same thing happens in your game on sunday people will complain about it.
