Ed Reed Needs To Make A Play Today

9 posts in this topic

im getting sick of polamalu always impacting this rivalry at the end of the game. people say ed reed is the best safety in the game (which i believe) but hardly ever contributes much. i feel like ed will make a big play today in the last 4 minutes

The problem with that is that Ben never throws Reeds way. I can't remember the last time Reed actually picked off Ben.

Reed has an unnoticed impact because of that. He almost takes his side of the field away from Ben, but he wont get the stats because of how cautious Ben is throwing in his direction.

I wouldn't say in the last 4 minutes, but he'll definitely make a play, whether it's a pick or hard hit, he'll make sure everyone knows he's on the field.

As long as Polamalu doesn't make a big play (I'll wager that he doesn't) and someone on our team does I'll be happy.

But I do want people to get off the "Steelers automatically win because of Ben" argument.

Reed has NEVER picked off Ben. So if he were to to it today, on a playoff game, playing with the emotions of his lost brother it would be HUGE!

RAVENS!!!!

actually he did a long time ago, but it was meaningless. I think it was when we got blown out a couple years ago.

I just want our team to keep an eye on <mister> Polamalu and we can win. don't let him get another big play.

I'd certainly love to see Ed make a game-changing play against the Steelers today but for the Ravens to win, they're likely going to need big plays from the offense more than anything.

On NFL, as I read this, Cowher just mentioned how Ed has never picked Ben off.

Off-Topic: I'm so sick of hearing how Ben has beat Baltimore 6 straight times. I could have sworn he was one man and played on offense, not defense. That and I'm rather sure the defense has come up with some plays to bail Ben out...
