Yeah that came to my mind too but I've been reading about the O Lineman in the draft next year (on this board) and I've gotten the feeling that there aren't any good ones coming out.
We won't see any top 10 tackles like we've seen in previous year but there will be some guys worth drafting in the second, third and fourth rounds.

The only guy i can remember with that kind of height on our team was Clarence Moore? he was like 6-6, 200 something? pretty similiar measurables, but lets hope hardy puts up some big numbers!

mason might retire, we keep TJ, and stalworth. so it's gonna be Q, TJ, Stalworth, REed, Smith, and that WR from VT that still on PS.

There's no guarantee he makes the roster.

we dont need recievers we need CORNERS.. and i have an idea Nnamdi Asomugha
it would be great to have him on the team but i think he might be too expensive. he is not that kind of player that disclaims big money to play on a great team. maybe ray gives him a phone call..
him and reed in the backfield would be awesome!!!!

never the less he will be 30 next year and wouldn´t be the long term solution...

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Hardy earned Top Performer status (top 10 of your position) in the following categories: the bench press, the broad jump, the 3-cone drill, and the 20-yard shuttle. In the bench press Hardy finished 9th among WRs with 18 reps at 225 pounds. Hardy finished 8th in the broad jump with a distance of 10'5". He finished 7th in the 3-cone drill with a time of 6.84 seconds. He also finished tied for 7th in the 20-yard shuttle with a time of 4.20 seconds. This display of quickness from such a big wide receiver lead to his draft stock rising.

Are you kidding me he is a perfect reciver for this team 6ft 6in thats huge talk about a redzone target or a moveing the chains guy you have to give a reciever of his size attention hopw he makes it on the team. And with that speed you can definatly break on defenders!

Combine statistics are nice and all but they don't translate, perfectly, to the field. He also has troubles staying healthy.

Chances are, he makes the team and doesn't contribute much or gets cut sometime in TC.

He could be a great candidate for Cameron's beloved endzone fade route, though.

He made some plays his rookie year but yes his injuries have gotten the best of him so far in his young career. If Mason does retire next year I do hope we retain Houshmandzadeh, if possible. Obviously he will be more successful given more targets.

A Wr making a name for himself in Buffalo was hard to do under the Dick Juron and Trent Edwards Era. Outside of His ACL and Sports related hernia, he has been Healthy. No matter what people say it takes at least 1.5 years to completely recover from an ACL injury. Having following James since his high school days, I know his work ethic is a Non issue. T. Owens, and all his coaches have stated several times he was getting closer. He was Raw coming out of Indiana becase they didnt run a pro style offense and he had trouble with reading routes. TO said he came a long way last year training with him and learned how to use his body to shield the defenders.

I think he was brought in more then to be a "camp Body". He will have to earn a spot but I think being cut by the Bills was a wake up call.

well we could move him to safety if his level of play dropped significantly.

He looks like a late cut in training camp at best. Depends on whether we resign Stallworth and/or Housh, draft picks, Reed's learning curve, and Mason's retirement. I'm sure he'll ride the pines even if he made the team.

Sweet. I've always been a fan of Hardy. Hope we use him to his full potential here
Same here, I actually wanted us to draft him. He has a huge upside if he can shake the injuries

Cameron likes big wide receivers... is this an indication that he may be back? I'm probably reading too much into it.

I would all but guarantee Cam is with us next year....the hatred towards Cam is way over blown, IMO.

I think Hardy is an excellent pickup I see a lot more in him than a clarence moore...staying healthy is the only thing in his way.

He has all the tools to be successful and has pretty good speed for a big guy. Nice move Ozzie.

Didn't know the dude so I looked him up....wow, 6'6" and top 10 in just about every WR drill at the combine.

What's the deal? Why didn't he stick in Buff?

Mason is supposedly signed for next season, but we'll see.We might keep TJ.If anything I think we may loose Stallworth,he's seen less snaps than TJ.
Which is total B.S , didnt even give him a chance ,if we are dropping him. all he did was that stupid reverse which was fine the first 3 times. But defenses catch on, everytime he is in the line up, its usaully a reverse. Dose everyone forget that catch i think it was for 67 yards. Hes only been thrown to 3 time that i remember, the one catch for 67 yds , and that recent flee flicker. I think the other one was a quick slant.

We could be wrong though and it might be T.J going out the door, which i dont like either. Maybe Reed will be losing his spot. I dont know but something doesnt smell right. Maybe Mason is retiring, i dont know, who knows. Only the Coaches and staff know.

Not really too overblown, although it is a bit extreme. His game plan last week is exactly what the gameplans should have looked like for the entire season. Sending Boldin and TJ on vertical routes 80% of the time is just flat out not smart.

Do we really need him?

Gotta wait and see how the offseason plays out. So many questions leading into it.

The guy's been worked out by three teams since his departure from the Bills, and none of them bit. His injuries in addition to our division's hard hitting defenses makes me think this may not last.

He's listed at 220lbs, but couldn't he add on 10lbs of muscle? That might help with his injuries.

I just read an article on Ravens 24x7 about Hardy (among other things as well) and I didn't know we were seriously considering drafting him but we ended up trading our 2nd round pick to seattle and moved back in to the 2nd for Rice and ended up gettin Zibby in the 3rd.

http://www.ravens24x7.com/columns/GRAPEVINE/THE-GRAPEVINE-Ravens-Rumormill-and-The-Inside-Skinny

I think this is one of the cases where if the guy is healthy and with the right QB, he could emerge to be a great player for a franchise. Luckily we gave him a chance. Hope it works out.

I suppose with the amount of attrition expected at the WR position (potential of Mason retiring, Housh and Stallworth leaving), they are shoring up possible replacements...
