That is the link. Hopefully he can turn it around in Baltimore. I like his size but the injuries scare me. It isn't a surprise that he wasn't successful with Trent Edwards at the helm but I'm sure he could of done some thinks with Fitzpatrick giving him targets.

O's got J.J. Hardy and Ravens get James Hardy....

Was just about to post this

Kinda gives you a hint that maybe Mason and TJ aren't coming back.
Mason is supposedly signed for next season, but we'll see.We might keep TJ.If anything I think we may loose Stallworth,he's seen less snaps than TJ.

Or he could be a camp body to see what he can do in the off-season. I just can't see him playing during the playoffs so next off-season will probably be hearing alot about him, maybe he could be our young WR for Joe.

Mason may retire while Houshmandzadeh likely would sign with another team willing to make him a starter and pay him starter money. Stallworth might be willing to stay for cheap. The team will also likely pursue a WR in the draft if Mason retires and Housh leaves.

I don't think this move is really any indication of Mason or Housh's futures since Hardy was signed to a reserve contract rather than called immediately to the active roster. If anything, this indicates that the Ravens are interested in taking a look at Hardy next season once he's officially shaken all of his injury woes, and that Hardy is a project they may be willing to develop in the offseason at a low cost with little risk involved.

The season isn't over for us so I doubt any talks have even happened regarding TJ, Mason or Stallworth's future with the team.
My first thought was Practice Squad, not who's staying or going, it's a bit too early to speculate.

Interesting. What exactly is a future/reserve contract? What differs it from a free agent signing?

I like his size and age, but I'll admit that I've never heard of this guy before.

Future/Reserve contracts are for players that aren't currently signed to a team and have been signed for next season.
Hardy was no longer a Bill so he's available for a F/R contract for the 2011/12 season.

I don't know much about him either, but he has apparently had knee injuries (not sure what kind, maybe ACL's) and apparently even when he was healthy he wasn't very productive.
That's just what I've heard, so if that's all true or accurate, who knows.
Maybe he just needs to be in a new system with a team that is actually successful.

I think if we go and win a super bowl Ray Lewis and Ed Reed will retire. If we go lose the bowl or we lose in the playoffs then Ray Lewis would stay and Ed Reed would retire. We probably would lose some key veterans too. Who do yal think will stay or leave?

James Hardy gives us something different. If we use him and stallworth properly next year and Mase or TJ stays, we could have a really, really diverse WR corps.

its frustrating that the only time we use stalworth is on those end around reverse plays, the guy is fast and could stretch the field on some deep routes, would like to see that for sure.

Mason isn't going anywhere. He's the best receiver on the team.

I love Mase, but I think Q has something to say about your comment......

I still hope we draft a WR this year with our top pick.
O line. We need to draft some O linemen badly.

Like any reserve roster, he'll need to work for it and show some huge spark to get into starter role. Its far fetched at this moment, but who knows.

We need ozzie to work magic on that one. This years and lasy year performane is near polar opposite imo

Yeah what I would love to do is draft Pouncey since we do need a future at center after Birk is done and the storylines between him and his brother would be fantastic. Carimi from Wisconsin would be a good RT too. I agree, round one, even tho it isn't sexy, they need OL help. I would go after a WR in the 2nd round, but David Reed could be a starter next season and is sort of a poor man's DeSean Jackson.

David Reed doesn't have DeSean Jackson speed, at least not from what I've seen. D.Reed is a young Mason, I just hope he emmulates him in his career.

I think we're okay if by some miracle Gaither comes back. But I think no matter what we'll be in a position to take the best player available when we pick. At 32.

I was a fan of Hardy when he got drafted. He hasn't done much but the Bills aren't the best evaluators and users of talent.

He's a nice big target. Will love to see him in training camp next year and see if he can use his size.

Wow, I completely forgot about this guy. I don't really know what to make of this pick-up. On one hand, he gives us a dimension that we've never really seen (his height). But on the other hand, why wasn't this guy getting picked up by other teams?

After he got cut by the Bills I wanted to believe that it was because of the Bills coaching staff not knowing how to use him. But Roto says 'Hawks, Indy, Bengals, and Titans all worked him out but didn't offer a contract.

Hmm...

Who knows. Maybe he'll be the next Brandon Lloyd.

I have followed James since His High School Basketball days where he was a two sport stud.. He went to IU to play basketball but turned out to be a Football star. Breaks most the IU Rec records and would of broke the Big 10 records if he would of returned his senior year.

Drafted 2nd round by buffalo....NO QB(Trent Edwards), Lame duck coach in Dick Juron and tearing his ACL was his down fall in Buffalo.

9 Catches 100 yards and 2 tds for the year

Caught the game winner against Jacksonville

2nd year in Buffalo was on PUP before returning week 15 and played behind T.O and Lee Evans

Receive the Courage award for the bills. Not sure what the true name is
Only had one catch

3rd year

Open Training camp with a sports related hernia and a new Coach that had no ties to Dick Juron players.

There no doubt this guy will shine(Healthy) if given the chance in a decent system and a good Qb. My guess is that Cam has seen him play and met him since they both have Ties with the IU program. Rumor was Colts and Cincy wanted him bad but had other issues that needed taken care of on the defensive side. He worked out with TO all of last year and has been training with Torrance Small(taller receiver) and R. Moss during the off seasons.

Yeah that came to my mind too but I've been reading about the O Lineman in the draft next year (on this board) and I've gotten the feeling that there aren't any good ones coming out.
