Good isn't enough when a Super Bowl is the goal, being great is the only way to make it.

Hate to say I told you so, but I saw this coming. This isn't as good a rivalry as other are making it out to be. We only beat them when they don't have there starting QB.

Now Indy/NE. Thats a real rivalry.

If Cam is brought back next year, I will give up on this team.

That's really weak man. I won't be happy at all but to give up on a team because of personnel move? wow...

Would you seriously expect a championship with him as our OC?

Sorry, but thats all the NFL is about, and we wont be getting there with him. It seems like common sense to me.

It's too bad Cameron couldn't use 'The Force' when Birk botched the snap, when Rice coughed up the rock and when Joe tried to force it in that resulted in 3 turnovers all on the wrong side of the 50.

The Ravens stay at 0 turnovers and guaranteed the Steelers dont put more than 20 on the board, ever.

Guys, the Steelers are the best franchise of the past 6 years. Roethlisberger is awesome. He makes plays when he has to, all the time, even with a bad o-line. Their defense is better right now, and they're years ahead of us because they found their QB years ago. They could focus on defense and building to Roethlisberger's strengths. I know everyone wants Aaron Rodgers, but we don't have him. And btw, Ryan isn't looking so good either tonight. He has a couple of picks.

I won't expect one but I won't keep the faith either. For all of Cam's shortcomings, the biggest plays tonight weren't a coaching or decision-making issue; they were players not executing.

Exactly. The Steelers gave us some freebies, then we gave them right back. It was hard to watch, but I've come to terms with it. We are the Steelers' little brother, it's always a good game between us but they own the AFC North. Maybe in a the future Flacco will be good enough to avoid turnovers in these games, but as of now he's good for at least one per game against the Steelers.

The players didn't execute but they weren't really put in a good situation either.

I don't know why Cam doesn't use the shot-gun spread more with quick routes. With the WR's we have it makes all the sense in the world.

Why would any steeler fan want the Ravens to change? The Ravens are the only true legitimate challenger the Steelers have in the AFCN. The Ravens just need to know when playing against Ben and the Steelers, mistakes will kill you, even if you are up by 14 points.
[/quote]

That's just it, you don't want them to change so we'll keep losing the big games to Pitt. We, on the other hand, want certain changes that will turn that around, then we'd see how much Steeler fans would like it.

The steelers have our number. We have great schemes but if we don't execute then it doesn't matter. Steelers have what it takes to win these types of games especially when that big dork Ben plays. I hate the steelers, but you have to admit they have a way of pulling the rug from under us. I don't know what needs to be done at this point - catching the ball would be a good start.

We can certainly talk about what Cam could have done(we've done it all year). But the reality is, when the situations arose to make plays, guys didn't do it. And that's not even talking about the inexplicable turnovers the offense made in the third quarter.

no I don't want the Ravens to change, because right now they are a true competitor, changes can go both ways, make a team better or make a team worse. Right now, the Ravens play the Steelers tough and the games are always nail biters and can go either way. Can you guarantee that changes will result in the Ravens getting better?

If you can, then by all means go for it.

Man, I'm just sick and tired of watching our defense play there hearts out only to have the offense screw it up for them. Its been like that for a decade now.

Its just so extremely frustrating.

They need too cause in the eyes of everyone including the players we can beat anyone but THEM! If the steelers didnt make the playoffs I bet we would be favored to win it all over NE, but even the players believe in THEM

THEM = The DEVIL

to be honest....a "scheme" is only good when it is not known by the other team.

Cam (O.C.) and Greg (D.C.) calls the same old junk game after game after game! my wife who is not a football fan always asks me why do the Ravens keep doing the same old plays over and over and over again?

and.....they both (O.C. & D.C.) did it again...in a Divisional Playoff! smh!

sure, Flacco fumbles and throws a pic, Rice fumbles, Boldin drops a TD pass and Housh drops a ball (after all that crying for not getting opportunites to make plays in Baltimore) that could have kept the drive and Ravens season alive and Webb gets beat deep...again! but...this inconsistency of the players comes from the inconsistency of their coaches!

Totally disagree with you. Yes we play steelers tough, but we are 6-0 against Ben, and would have gotten swept this season if he had played the first game. Steelers have our number if you haven't noticed. Wake up Raven nation, we are getting beat regularly and we need big changes if we want to dominate the division.

Absolutely. I remember hearing that when Tony Dungy became HC at Indy, he said the Colts had to become a better team than the Titans who were top of that division at the time. The Colts did what they had to do, and in the process, have a bunch of other teams' numbers, including us.
We simply need to make the necessary, and often painful, changes.

You know the Bengals and the Browns are hell bent and bound to figure a way to beat the Steelers. In Cleveland a team gets swept by the Steelers, usually means there will be a new coach the next season. With the Bengals, Lewis has openly stated he wants the Bengals to be more like the Steelers. Both these teams have gone to extremes to be more competitive against the steelers and the result has been just the opposite.

browns and bengals don't have the talent and coaching like we do. We will not be dominant with tiny changes. If you haven't noticed, the steelers always improve over time so if we make tiny change and they make tiny changes then we have a net change of zero. One big change we should make is to dedicate to running the ball and stopping the run. Did you see what the steelers did to us at the goal line? Up the middle and down our throats. They overpowered us, that needs to change.

This is true about the Browns, but I disagree about the Bengals. Head to head the Ravens are 16-14 against the Bengals, being 2 games above 500 overall, is not indicative of a team who has superior talent.

I made a few changes, but I agree with the premise.

there are a lot of you who are good fans-but i will tellyou whats going on,the ravens need to be in shotgun on 2nd and third down, like brady ,rogers ,manning, breeze, ryan, rotheburger, joe flacco is 6 foot 6 and in the shotgun would be a great quarterback, spread the offence out like brady and rogers, they play to win,we have a coach who ran a 3 man rush on defence and consevative on offence which mean they play not to lose, you would never see patriots ,colts ,new orleans greenbay, falcons play not to lose, they all play to win,on third down on defence you always rush 4 men and blitz, they dont ever play the 3 man rush prevent defence which prevents you from winning,i have played and coach sports until i was 50 im 54 now and for a year and a hlf have known this and it is painful to watch, you have to put your players in a position to succseed,no shotgun no points,3 man rush the other team scores-its not cam it always the head coach who make the decions on how to play-i hope john changes but im afaid coaches dont ussually change-go new england
